Tavola Italian Kitchen + Bar

The appetizers and entrees we ordered met/exceeded expectations. Our server was very polite and professional and gave great recommendations.

My cousin and I were here for lunch today. Not for celebration. One of my aunts is at HCMC. My cuz wanted someplace close by within walking distance.
So we hiked it on the first snow day (Oct, 14). We looked at the menu. It all looked very tasty and our server was very good.
Inevitably we decided pasta may put us to sleep by afternoon and we needed to be awake post my aunts surgery.
We did the prime burger. Nimon Ranch. Very tasty. I would recommend medium.

Ok food, nothing stellar. The Shishito pepper appetizer was good, the past just ok. I think it was squid-ink, the shrimp was a bit overcooked and chewy. For an entrée it wasn't very hot either.
I kind of think for the prices, they could at least offer some fresh Italian bread and olive oil to nosh on while waiting for the food.

This place is located inside the Elliot Hotel and the host/ess stand is immediately to your right. It may seem at first that the restaurant is fairly small with a few booths and bar seating, but there is a dining room area you can't quite see from the host/ess stand.

Our table ordered the ravioli x 2 and the Parmesan corn--and loved it! If you've never tried the ravioli, it has cheese inside and, sausage and broccolini on the outside. Flavor was great and the food came out in ~15 minutes.

We ordered a gin & tonic, and their version of an old fashioned. I can't remember the other two drink orders, but I do recall all of them were great and presentation of both food and drink was on-point.

Our server Jackie, who I've had the pleasure of encouraging more than once, was a gem. She was patient when we kept talking and forgot to look at the menu and still very attentive after-the-fact.

Our bill totaled a reasonable $120 for all we ordered and I would visit again! They also have pick up options available if you don't feel up to the restaurant vibe.

When staying at Elliot park hotel we stopped at the Tavola bar for drinks about 3 times and were very pleased with the delicious drinks and service each time.

Their selection of spirits wasn't the widest but the craft cocktails were tasty and we saw other guests eating pizza that looked fantastic. We'll be back!

We were headed to the Walker Art Center British Arrow Awards and wanted to eat nearby. I found Tavola. We had actually eaten 'here' when we used our Pub Pass at Finnegan's to order a pizza. The food then was great and we were excited to try the full menu.

Service was absolutely excellent. I see some of the reviews for spotty service but this was not our experience. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server (Claire) was amazing. Her suggestions were perfect. She was attentive but never pushy. We even had host(s) walking the floor to ensure we were taken care of. Fantastic experience with service.

Our meals were equally excellent. I opted for the salmon and a side of Parmesan mashed potatoes. Soooo good. The salmon was served with polenta, cabbage, and mushrooms. Not a mushroom fan but loved the crispness of the cabbage with the fish and polenta. Yes, I even ate the mushrooms.

Husband has the sausage ravioli, equally good. I definitely had a taste.

Both meals were a perfect portion to leave us not hungry but not over stuffed. We found an on street parking spot for $3. Such a great stop. Great experience

What a great experience through and through. Bart was our server and took great care of us, everything from drink recommendations to serving us our best meal of our trip to Minnesota.
We had the Meatball appetizer followed by the Chicken Piccata and the Salmon.
We highly recommend this  Resturant, and we will dine here once more before we head back home. Thanks

We went a week ago for my birthday. We had a reservation but they said they had to seat us in the bar which we thought was a little strange but that was alright. The apps were good, we got the calamari and burrata. My boyfriend got the NY strip and he did say he enjoyed it. I got the ravioli and it was good, quite rich. Service was only okay. The food was good, but not GREAT. Glad we tried it, but not sure it'll be a regular for us.

I was a bit skeptical about eating in the hotel restaurant rather than going out,  but was impressed by the quality of food and service. The burrata and the lamb tartare were both incredible. The sweet caramelized onions complimented the savory burrata nicely. I got the spaghetti as my main course and it was good, but could have used a bit more of a sauce, or even just a splash of olive oil. My table split the chocolate cake for dessert (tip: there is more than enough cake for 2 people) and enjoyed finishing the meal with a little something sweet. The cake was VERY rich, but quite tasty.

We had reservations for Christmas Eve. When we arrived for our
6:45pm reservation the restaurant was CLOSED! Someone came out to tell us that nobody showed up for work so they had to close. When I looked at my phone i saw they had cancelled my reservation on Open Table at 6:40pm. NO PHONE CALL, just went to OpenTable and canceled 5 minutes before our reservation.  They knew before 6:40p on the day of our reservation that they would not  be able to open. But they did nothing. Bad management. Good Luck if you make a reservation there
