    About the Business

We pride ourselves on providing the freshest seafood in Dallas. Born and raised in New Orleans, we have been surrounded by artfully crafted and delicious food our entire lives. Even though we offer the same types of food as other restaurants, we try to keep it as close to our roots as possible. For po'boys, we get the bread flown in from New Orleans. We get our shrimp and oysters from the gulf. All the seafood is flown in, like the king crab and Dungeness crab. There is a huge difference in how we serve our crawfish. Most typical seafood restaurants in Dallas boil the crawfish in water before adding butter, garlic, or other seasonings, hence the lack of flavor in the meat. At Tasty Tails we emphasize the authenticity of our food so our crawfish is first boiled in different seasonings, spices, fruits, veggies and other secret family ingredients to really infuse the many flavors into the meat of the crawfish. Customers can choose between the traditional New Orleans flavor (NOLA style) or with Who Dat sauce, which is traditional crawfish with added garlic and butter and whatever level of spiciness they can handle (mild, semi-spicy, spicy, extra spicy & hella OMG spicy). Many Louisiana natives come to us because we offer them "crawfish from home" and they can't get it anywhere else in Dallas. We believe the quality of food and freshness of product has customers returning for more and telling their friends. We also have NFL Sunday Ticket. Come by and watch the Saints games!…

I've been to Tasty Tails plenty of times and I'm quite shocked that I have yet to leave a review. Since I have time and am waiting on my meal that went from being ready in 15... to 20... to 25... and now an additional 30 minutes, I'll share my experience.

Tonight's a busy night, which I totally understand, as many of people have been itching to get out of the house! The food has always been exceptional along with customer service; however, tonight has left a sour taste in my mouth. Whomever is picking up the phone to take food orders should definitely be demoted as they have no sense of time even when it's clear as day that tickets fill the wall and there's a large number of orders to fulfill.

What was supposed to be a "15, 20-25 min" wait (that is what he claimed he told me) turned about to be an hour once I arrived to pick up my order. You can imagine how frustrating this can be.

Thanks to Hunter; however, I was able to still be serviced to enjoy the food I drove out here to get. The manager came out and seemed very aloof. Hunter took the time to apologize and find a palpable (see what I did there) solution. I can appreciate him as he knows, truly, what customer service is. Kudos to your patience. Who do I call to get you a raise or move on up?!

The number of tickets that was stacked... there's no way that one can't see that the wait would be pretttttty long.

I tried to be adventurous this time around when I visited the restaurant for dinner and I have to say; I'm impressed! I ordered the grilled cajun shrimp salad and the boudin bites. The salad is pretty standard it's not a large salad so if you want it order an appetizer, you'll have a perfect meal! You get 6 large pieces of shrimp I was very satisfied with that because it was delicious! My friend ordered the shrimp po boy and cajun fries. The po boy was a little dry sp get extra sauce on the side. Overall I always have an amazing meal when I come to tasty tails. Service is also impeccable! Everyone who works here is so nice and friendly!

Dining in here today was a treat! Greeted at the door by the greeter who kindly informed us he would have to take our temp before being seated. After temp checks cleared we were directed to our seats. Waters quickly delivered to table and QR code's at the tables if you do not want a paper menu. All staff wearing face mask.

For drinks we had the hurricane and swamp thing. Tip: Order the frozen hurricane with an extra shot!!! We had a cup of shrimp gumbo and it was delicioussssssss!!!!!! For our meals we had the Duo (crawfish, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes), and shrimp. Everything thing was on point.

Awesome wait staff and bartender! Check this spot out people!!!!! You will not be disappoi

Idk if they got a new chef but my first time hitting up Tasty Tails this season and The Who Dat sauce is just not as flavorful. Even after asking for extra sauce with our crawfish, it just doesn't taste the same. In addition to the missing flavor, about 1/3 of my crawfish was overcooked. My friends that got wings really enjoyed them so maybe I'll give those a try next time during happy hour.

Taking away another star because at one point our server went MIA. Tables that arrived after us had already eaten, tabbed out and left. After flagging someone else down, come to find out our original server was on a break! Our new server was friendly and accommodating though.
Just FYI: the professional thing to do would be to let your tables know that you'll be stepping away and then introduce them to their new/temporary server.

Not completely writing this place off but I don't think I'll be getting crawfish here the rest of this season

We came here with my brother, his girlfriend and my wife. We ordered a dozen oysters, 5 Cajun wings, crawfish pie, 1 pound of crawfish, TT pick 3 and then a hurrican OTR drink. That definitely filled us up, but be ready to spend over 100 dollars for seafood, but definitely worth the price. Oh yes and it is pretty messy too.

The raw oysters were good as I ate 5 of them and probably could have eaten a lot more. Crawfish pie had the seafood gumbo in it and very great. The crawfish was good too and takes awhile to get the eat out. I enjoyed the shrimp and potato. Service was outstanding as well.

Love love love this place! Their crawfish is 10/10, crab fries are delicious, and my all time favorite are the shrimp poboys. They have a 6 &12". Depending on how hungry, I've tried both sizes. Their drinks are great & if you're looking for a little buzz def get one of the pouch drinks lol. Their chicken wings are also amazing & nicely sized, they don't give this mini sized wings like some places.

The service is great, you can always call in to place a to go order which is what I do most times. The vibes inside are pretty nice so it's a great place for a group or a 3rd time date. They have the best poboys in comparison to Cajuns in New Orleans original poboys, I would definitely recommend trying theirs. Overall I give tasty tails 10/10 & to try their whole menu because that's what so I tend to do :)

My husband and I went to Tasty tails for their crawfish as the restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. We went on a Friday lunch and there was no wait. We ordered 4 pounds of crawfish with spicy Who Dat sauce, corns, cajun dry rubbed wings, and crawfish boudin. We really liked Who dat sauce - it was spicy but in a good way. Crawfishes were pretty good sizes, corns were tasty. Wings were pretty good but little salty to my taste, and I really didn't care for crawfish boudin. I would definitely stick to crawfish next time or I would love to try one of their lunch menu.

Tasty Tails is definitely one of the nicer/cleaner cajun seafood spots in the area. I was there for lunch but it seems like it would be great sports bar as well with many big-screen TVs, chicken wings, and a decent craft beer selection.

The overstuffed shrimp po' boy lived up to its name and was overflowing with fried shrimp. The batter was light and not at all greasy. The warm bread was soft and the veggies were fresh. I would have liked more remoulade instead of the mayo and a lemon wedge to squeeze on top. Otherwise, it was near perfect.

The seafood gumbo was equally good and had a fair amount of seafood in it (little cracked crab claws, shrimp). You could see and taste how intense the dark cajun roux was.

It was not very crowded during lunch and the service was superb (5/5). The waiter kept our waters full and even brought us cups to go. Very nice! I'll definitely be back!

Good, but not the best. The sauce for the crawfish is okay. I didn't love it, and my partner actually did not like it at all. However, they had a special going on for buy 5lb get 1 free, which is what we did.

Their special fries with real crab was so good! You can find it along with other items on their "secret menu". It's not really a secret menu because they list all of them, with pictures, on the little menu stands of the tables lol.

Their happy hour deals are so good. This is the only reason I would go back. They have some good appetizer deals and their drinks deals are pretty awesome. Regular and reverse happy hour times available.

I didn't get to try the crawfish here, but I can't wait to go back and give it a try!! My cousin and I went because they have good choices on their HH menu.

Food (4/5) We got the dry rub wings because they're only 75 cents! I forgot to take a picture but I should've. My cousin ordered it with the special NOLA sauce they have on the side. The sauce was just okay to me but the cuzzo really likes it. For 75 cents, they were pretty good sized wings. We ordered 10 wings but we didn't finish them all. We didn't finish them because we also ordered crab fries and MAN OH MAN we're those good. They put real crab on those fries! The crab wings are a bit pricey though, I'm not gonna lie. However, it comes in a HUGE portion that could probably feed 5-6 people. The calamari fries or sticks or whatever that they have on their HH was also pretty good. I liked it a lot but they only give you 5 sticks, which isn't too bad for HH. Basically, go there for the happy hour, trust.

Service (5/5) The service was really good. They attended to us very well. I think our server was still in training, but I couldn't really tell so that's a good sign right? All the employees were nice. One of my friends ordered grilled chicken tenders because he's on a diet but somehow the kitchen didn't get the ticket and the kitchen was already closed. The manager was nice enough to comp us for that with shots so we were fairly content.

I'll be back to try the crawfish and other items!!
