Tasty Pastry Bakery

I ordered the King Cake from here to celebrate Carnival. I ordered it a day before and it was ready on time.
My only concern is that when I walked in, I saw a table that had a bunch of King Cakes on it, all packaged the same. I thought that maybe these were made specifically for walk-in orders, and that mine (because I pre-ordered it) would be different (aka fresher, different packaging, etc).
When it was my turn to get to the counter I told them that I was picking up a King Cake I ordered yesterday, so the woman walks to the back and hands me the exact same box that was on the table in the front. I thanked her and paid for it, but it made me think that these King Cakes are not as fresh as I would have liked, or even not made in-store (especially for ordering from a bakery instead of picking it up at the grocery store, for example).
The King Cake itself, sadly, was just very typically. Nothing to write home to; it's a huge, dry cinnamon roll with green/purple/yellow colored icing.

This particular experience will not deter me from shopping here, however, as they had many wonderful looking treats on display that I am sure taste wonderful.

Everything at Tasty Pastry is just Heavenly. Depending on my mood, I grab a Jumbo Cupcake, brownie, or an apple turnover.
I really like all the options as there is something for everyone.

You won't be disappointed with this large selection of sweets and breads.

The lightest fluffiest most full of fruit blueberry muffins, cranberry muffins wonderful they did great pastries have some wonderful things. Tasty pastry. We love the blueberry muffins the most, but it's true Bakery use real sugar and probably makes some wonderful croissants anyway it's fun to go there. it's clean and there's a couple other stores that are close by that you would enjoy going to , give it a try I promise you'll like it some part of it. You'll probably be a part that you don't like exactly but it outweighs the good outweighs the bad go for.

Craving CARBS! I walked into a line of happy people waiting to get great service. After a moment, it was my turn. I ordered sour dough bread, three cheese croissants, three plain croissants, three chocolate croissants, and chocolate dipped Oreos.

The pleasant server gladly put my order together into boxes. The total for everything came to $28. When I opened, the wonderful smell of croissants filled the air. The cheese croissants were insane. Like always, I will be back. Maybe I will order a cake next time.

I had previously given this bakery a not-so-good review due to the very rude treatment I was exposed to a while back. But, in picking up a cake that my husband ordered for me daughter - who LOVES this place - I had a very pleasant experience. I wasn't ignored when I walked in, I was spoken to in a nice manner, and the person at the cash register was extremely pleasant. We were all quite satisfied with the outcome of the cake decorations; my daughter loved the cake!

This bakery is always on our go to list when in town. Long time classic bakery that has provided traditional bday cakes, breakfast danish, breads, casseroles galore over the years.

Family owned and operated...it can be busy on weekends and around holiday times, plan accordingly.

The Market Square area is evolving; however, this bakery is reliable, genuine, and delicious, of course!

I've never tried this place, but I figured since they'd been open over 50 years, their products must be good, but I was wrong, the cake I ordered was great!

I ordered a 5 layer chocolate ganache cake for my son's graduation over the phone. I explained what I wanted, just a simple "Congratulations" with my son's name on it, and maybe 2 small graduation decorations. My son has an unusual name, and I was thrilled that the decorator called me to confirm the spelling of his name.

The people who work there could not have been nicer, and each person who sews you makes sure to ask if you've been helped, and everyone there had a smile on their face.

The cake was not only beautiful, it tasted amazing!!!

This cake was GREAT! Fresh white cake filled with strawberry jam decorated in pinks for a baby shower I hosted. The customer service was incredible. Tasty Pastry took the time to speak with me which made me feel they had a vested interest in my baby shower cake. My inquiries were met with polite friendly suggestions on their decorating skills, color schemes as well as their artistic vision for my cake. Price point was perfect. Each time I went into Tasty Pastry their bakery products were fresh and delicious. I purchased cinnamon buns, fruit danish, cheese danish, muffins apple fritters and individual cake servings. I was happy with everything I purchased. This was a WIN WIN!

Great service tasty treats! The peanut butter cookies were some of the best I've had.

I didn't enjoy any of these delights, due to gluten intolerance, but family enjoyed them. The reports were the cannoli was delicious and the "M"cookies: molasses, macadamia nut and macaroon were marvelous! Tasty Pasty was busy on this mid-December day and the cases were filled with holiday pastries, decorated cookies, & breads and even fresh fruitcake!

French silk pie was so horribly sweet could not eat it. Very disappointed
