Taqueria Guerrero

I've been to Taqueria Guererro twice with co-workers, and sent a few people here. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food that is offered is fantastic!

The first time I went with my husband, my boss, and my boss's husband, everyone but my boss got tacos, and they were delicious. I tend to only get steak tacos at mexican restaurants, and these were some of the best I have had in a very long time. My boss got a torta, which was enormous, however, despite it's size it did not make it home (she took part of it with her to go, it didn't last the trip). She also got their horchata, which she said was wonderful, and got a refill before leaving.

The second time I went everyone got tacos. They were just as delicious as the first time.

We also had their guacamole which is superb, tastes just like the stuff we make fresh at home (not too smooth or chunky, and good spice). It served with tostadas and limes to squeeze on them, instead of chips.

The vibe of the restaurant was a little divey but totally worth it. The service and food completely make up for the ambiance. I would highly recommend trying this place out if you are in the area.

Food and service are amazing! Always fresh food and friendly faces. I try to eat here once a week. Just wish there was delivery.

Very cost efficient, location felt small but it was private. I ordered two tacos de Al pastor and they were delicious!

Food is worth the price. Definitely worthy as a local place to go to. Or if going to the theater.

Me sirvieron un coctel de camarón en un plato desechable, yo ni en mi casa uso platos desechables, cuando le pregunté a la mesera que porque en plato y no en copa, ella contestó que la gente siempre se lo pedía en plato (nunca en mi vida e oído alguien pidiendo cóctel en plato) el servido de la mesera estuvo bien, pero la comida no era buena y menos sus presentación.

Yo no vuelvo a este lugar.

This is one of the best taquerias in the area. The vibe is laid back, very casual and comfortable. The food comes out quick and is always delicious.

The best Mexican food in Illinois. Service is great, employees are friendly, and the downtown Waukegan area is one of the biggest undiscovered secrets in Northern Illinois. They also just expanded the inside of the restaurant. We eat here almost once a week.

It was an ok experience. I was waiting for the train and had an hour to kill and was hungry so I walked over. The beef burrito was ok, not bad but not special. Had to ask for chips which were extra and only came with guacamole not salsa. However, very clean bathroom. I'd come back, but nothing outstanding.

Best Tacos In Downtown Waukegan they give you so much limes for your sauces!!!
You can order online but hurry they make them fast!!
