This is undoubtedly my favorite taqueria in SF, and have found the same quality of service at both of their other locations (on Market St and in the Outer Mission).
For the truly indulgent, the Super Taco is still a great deal at $6 (plus tax). If you're like me and mostly skip cheese & sour cream, and if you're willing to forego the avocado, I'd go with the regular Taco which is $1 cheaper. It's still made with onions & salsa, and as always their table chips & salsa are free!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shafi R.Union City, CA2162Mar 3, 2024

Once I found out that the founder of Chipotle was inspired by the Taquerias in San Francisco's Mission District, I knew I had to go and try one... and I'm really glad I did!
This no-frills place serves some of the best tacos and burritos I've had in a while. In particular, the Carne Asada Tacos ($4.50 each) were amazing, the meat was super flavorful and tender, and the portion size for each individual taco was huge (so much meat!). Inside, the vibes are super laid-back, and the service is quick and friendly. This place is perfect for a chill night out with friends or family to grab some tacos. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Mission District!

Pretty solid taqueria in the mission that serves all sorts of classics. I got the carne asada and al pastor super tacos and they make sure the tacos are piled up! The flavor of the meat was great, toppings complimented it perfectly and they give a good amount too so you get a bit of cilantro and onions with every bite. The sour cream was a bit messy since they kinda just plopped it on there but not a huge deal. I think the cheese was a bit too heavy for me so next time I would opt out of that. Also had their burritos here before and they're good it's just stuffed with a lot of rice so not my ideal spot for burritos in the mission. Overall would come again if I'm ever in the area!

Super fast service and tons of seating inside! I got the Super carne asada burrito with tons of meat, avocado, beans, salsa, and rice- shockingly held together despite the juices from the steak and salsa and could be more spicy. Definitely could be two meals!

Came for the burritos as the community believed they were one of the best in the area. We were disappointed in the quality and preparation. Tortilla was soft and doughy, not too crispy. The folding of it was also sloppy, it falls apart within the first few bites. The flavor was average, I wouldn't get this particular menu item from here.
Also tried the steak nachos but again was disappointed. The presentation was good and it's plentiful to share with friends. However the chips were stale, some were cooked and others were not. The steak on there was also just average. Not really anything to write home about. A little too much grease even considering they are nachos.
Positives: the service is quick and efficient. They have papel picado to give you some feeling of Mexico. Also they serve beer here to wash down the food which is a perk.

Ordered burrito mojado and carnitas plate. There was a long line, but they took the order really fast and served it really quick too! That doesn't mean they compromised with the quality.. the carnitas was flavorful and rice was great. I wish the beans could be a little spicier. I love the green salsa, not so much of the other salsa because it's tangy. Tables were available but need to be cleaned a bit. We shared a table with strangers, which is no problem because we're only party of 2. 10/10 will recommend!

Food - ordered a steak burrito with beans on the side and no cheese. burrito is HUGE! Can definitely share with two people. Steak was super tender and yummy but the overall burrito was a little bland in my opinion. The sour cream helped a bit. Came with complimentary chips and green/red salsa; both were too spicy for me.
Service - super quick. Ordered at the front, seat yourself and food came within 5 mins or so.
Ambiance - nice cute little spot. Lots of seatings.

Huge portions for the price, and super fast service. Can't really complain! The burrito mojado is massive, and I was able to share this with my boyfriend and still be full. I definitely want to try a breakfast burrito next time though.

The pastor burrito here is on par with the other iconic burrito spots in the Mission, and their pico is consistently fresh and tasty. I like to ask for the burrito grilled crispy. They run a really efficient operation here, so it's consistently quick. I tried the carne asada and it was meh, and the chips here have a consistency similar to fritos. But that's not what I come here for, so it's all good.
