Ordered here from GrubHub last night. It wasn't bad.
Husband had the jumbo shrimp fried rice and he really liked it. Served him for two meals. (Not too many shrimp but the rice had a good flavor)
I had Lo Mein noodles w/beef, chicken, shrimp, bamboo shoots, shrooms, celery, etc. Really really good. Loved it actually and I was able to have dinner and lunch with the size.
The only thing that was horrible were the crab rangoon. They tasted more like tuna fish filling instead of crab. Definitely not the OG crab rangoons I'm used to so they were not a hit.
Delivery was RIDICULOUSLY fast. I mean fast! 20 minutes!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mony K.Palos Hills, IL2061Oct 3, 2017

After living elsewhere for 12 years, I was thrilled to see that Tai Tsang was still here. I was worried that the quality wouldn't be the same as it used to be but my food was as good as ever.
The things I missed the most?
The Mongolian beef!!! I haven't found better anywhere else...
And the egg rolls....Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - B T.Brea, CA1938018Mar 6, 2016
Decent food especially if you're at a hotel and want delivery. Had Kung Pao Chicken, it was ok, decent flavor. I would order it again. Fried Rice was decent as well. It's not New York Chinatown but worth a 3 Star

This place will suffice when you need your General Tsao's Chicken fix. It's is probably a little cleaner than most Chinese takeouts, and the food is what you expect. I promise you will get your RDA for salt.
So that should be worth 3 stars I think... However, every time i walk in that place, I feel like I am bothering them and taking them away from more important things going on. I want to be greeted by my local Chinese joint with a smile. Is that so much to ask??Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carolina N.Pompano Beach, FL384Dec 5, 2014
We ordered from the hotel mentioned we needed utensils and plates. Sent us only knives when called the restaurant the only said they were sorry and did not solve our issue. this is turist in chicago. What a shame

Best chinese in Chicago. I have only had delivery, but it is always great. I bet most of these bad critiques are of another restaurant called "The Original Tai Tsangs." They are not the same and that place is horrible. This place is amazing. The Sweet and Sour Chicken or General Tsao Chicken is awesome, get the sauce on the side and you will see it is the freshest chinese restaurant out there. The mongolian beef is really lean as well. I love the egg rolls, mu shu pork, anything on the menu is great. Again, when ordering on Grub Hub, make sure it is the Tai Tsang's with the black logo, not the "Original" with a red logo.

So I ordered delivery here thinking about the type of Chinese ginger soy wings or such would be here, but they are breaded. I know I should have asked, and now it's become an afterthought. The coupon special on there little mail piece had got me interested because I could order $15 worth and get the free wings or egg rolls. I got them spicy it just seemed like breaded deep friend wings rolled in the spicy chili seeded sauce that I could have gotten at the Asian grocery store. I was quiet disappointed as I could have made better, a lot better. The combination lo mein wasn't much to talk about either. I guess I should have known when it's written in the menu as pasta. I also got the Tsang chicken dish which seemed like it was really a slightly more souped up unbreaded sweet and sour chicken. I mean it will do the job for leftovers to take to work, but highly doubt that I'll be ordering there again.

Got some food delivered and I definitely won't make that mistake again. We ordered 5 or 6 items of the menu and there wasn't any one of them that I would reorder.

So I got the lunch pasta special with chicken/beef/shrimp.... sounded good online (had it delivered) but I was pretty disappointed. There really wasnt much flavor or spice to it at all.... at least I got extra fortune cookies with my order to make up for it. The egg roll was also good, and big! ok back up to 3 stars cause of the egg roll hehe
