Sweeties Cafe and Tea House

36 ladies from the group 'Ladies That Lunch OTOW' had lunch at this charming cafe & tea house for their monthly outing in March. The building is nestled among trees, is aesthetically pleasing and decorated inside and out with flair and appeal.
Inside there are hats to wear, fun clothes to put on, tea cups with tea pots, and holiday decor to admire.
The staff is efficient, friendly and gave great service to all of us. The menu offers a great variety of reasonably priced items to choose from.
I ordered a Cranberry & Almond Chicken croissant that came with a cup of homemade tomato-basil soup, accompanied by a cool glass of refreshing cucumber water. Yummy.

INCREDIBLE food and service and ambiance - the owner came over and spoke with my mother and I and he is a very kind gentleman and discussed how they buy the freshest ingredients daily THEMSELVES (most restaurants have them delivered by Cisco etc)

The tea is fantastic- I had some hibiscus variety along with the white bean turkey chili and a cranberry chicken salad. Mom has the tomato pie and we split the peanut butter pie. Such a killer experience and ladies - don't forget to wear one of their hats while you're there!

What a great place for lunch in Dunnellon. Decorated like a tea shop this quaint cafe offered all homemade items. Enjoy!

Trying out restaurants around Dunnellon when we stumbled across Sweeties. What a quaint and enjoyable cafe! The Waldorf salad was delicious with lots of chicken. Large variety of teas too!!
We will be back!!

A great place to eat! We stopped here on a whim because we wanted something light. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The owner was very accommodating to us and helpful. We sat outside surrounded by a garden. The ambiance was so calming. Wonderful place.

What a cute place! Definitely geared for "girly girls" , you can wear bonnets, go for tea and wear gowns. SmLl, surrounded by tea pots and antiques, the ambiance is Victorian, the menu is limited but women's lunch themed creating a somewhat limited cliental. But we were a group of women celebrating a birthday so we fit the mold. We arrived about a half hour before our reservations, willing to wait at the plant and gift store next door, but the table was ready, and had as,all happy birthday sign on it, so welcoming by the bd girl
Service was quick, pleasant and knowledgeable. All of us got salads, tuna and chicken, one on salad, one bread, 2 croissants. Beverages were refilled at request. The only flaw was, in my opinion, the salads were dry and needed more mayonnaise. The birthday girl got free dessert, a nice afternoon

This adorable little place is located in Dunnellon..you may drive by it a few times and miss it...it is just adorable inside and so homey..cute little back Patio too...Food was o.k. Salad, Sandwich served with Chips, Soup,.I was very disappointed Chicken Salad was not homemade for a small Restaurant and was out of a can, that is a big No for me.....lots of the Tea selections on the table tent were unavailable and with that said the Table tent should have been removed from the table and not been there for people to see and to order great variety of desserts to choose from...very friendly staff and they go above and beyond for those celebrating a Birthday..very nice...they offer a High Tea with reservations and had many hats and items of clothing on the walls..

Great service, you can take pics with tea party hats that they have all over the place. They have hi tea but you have to make reservations. The food is good, but nothing out of the ordinary. We had a BLT, chicken salad sandwich and soup n salad. I enjoyed the buttered rum tea. Very unique experience, not a regular restaurant.

Food was delicious. Great place to have your tea party. will definitely return. Quaint and prompt service.

What an eclectic and unique place! I was very impressed with the "high tea" options - they make their own scones and Devonshire cream.... I opted for the veggie wrap which was delicious. The women working were very friendly and there was a very warm communal feel -- obviously a local's favorite. I enjoyed walking around outside looking at the flowers being sold from the shop next door.
