Sweet Alchemy Bakery and Cafe

Coffee and food was good. It was busy when we got there. Service was extremely slow. I ordered coffee which took twenty minutes to get. One of our party ordered a smoothie and it took 50 minutes to come. It was our first visit and we wanted to support a local business but waiting almost an hour for a smoothie, and 20 minutes to order is too time consuming, even for a Sunday morning. Sadly, won't go back.

Amazing plant- based dishes. Seriously awesome food with delicious spices and pairings. Pleasant space.

Great vegan bakery with soooo many pastries! Their lunch menu is also great -- I had a rainbow wrap. Excellent all-around!

Let's start by saying we came here 3 times in this day- that's how amazing it was.

The baked goods are so good and literally made fresh! The app to order is updated every few minutes based on what's available and when things come out, so one second something is sold out and next moment it just came out of the oven! Such a fun experience racing to find stuff on it haha.

My favorite items where the carrot cake, the cinnamon roll and the coconut cake. Everything was SO moist and warm!

I wasn't crazy about the doughnuts, however my boyfriend loved them! He went back just to get the maple doughnuts to go on the road.

The savory menu I was SO exited for!!! We ordered 2 items from the savory menu (the tofu wrap and Mac and cheese) and let's just say they weren't good... at all. I really wanted to like them but they were so bland, and so hard to get through to eat. I was so disappointed about that, like you can see how excited i was to try to the Mac and cheese and it literally tasted awful. The vegan parmesan cheese was absolutely disgusting and overwhelming gross.

But the baked goods were SO good, that they hold the rating so high. Go there for those items, but 0/10 would not recommend anything savory lol.

Was so lucky to see a post about Sweet Alchemy on a Vegan FB page and then remembered it was near where we were wandering on Saturday. The whole menu was vegan. Got the Rainbow Bowl and the breakfast bowl. They were both amazing. Great flavor, so filling. Then we got the carrot cake cupcakes for dessert. OMG!!

Great breakfast/lunch and baked goods! The Breakfast of Champions is a great choice for breakfast and their baked goods are always amazing, fluffy and delicious. The best vegan cafe in the area for baked goods or breakfast/brunch

Some great things come in small tasty uplifting packages. Vegan nirvana, take me away!

Nice spot--lots of windows, meadow view, plenty of parking. Quiet American roots/acoustic music. 8 tables.

Avocado toast--very good, fresh, tasty
Maple latte--a first for me, normally not a sweet beverage fan but this was the perfect foil to the avocado toast

This cute spot always satisfies... and more! The food items are fresh and packed with flavors that make you feel at home. The baked goods are beautiful and sweet the way you want them to be! As a vegan who has travelled to many cities on the east coast, this is my favorite spot in the Burlington area and the best vegan sweets of all time!

This place is amazing! We are a family of vegan/veg from NJ who found this place on a trip to visit UVM with our daughter. A beautiful location off the beaten path, fantastic vegan food and beverages. What a gem!
