The food is amazing. The spicy garlic edamame and the Captain Crunch roll are my favorites, but I have eaten several other items and everything has been fresh and delicious. The service is also top notch. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. I've gone in by myself and sat at the bar. I've also been in with a large group and thoroughly enjoyed the patio. This place is definitely worth a try!

AWESOME happy hour!!! Stopped in for a few rolls and saki bombs the other day and cannot believe how much food and drink we got for super cheap! We had saki bombs with Kirin light, an ASU roll, a Vegas roll, the fat veggie roll, a krispy green roll, a garden fire roll, and the spicy garlic edamame. Everything was fresh and delicious! The edamame is sooooooo good! We also got EXCELLENT service which is always a plus to awesome food. We will definitely be back!

Sushi 101 has made me a sushi snob. I've tried many of their rolls and not only are they delicious but so much better than the sushi I've eaten before. My favorites are the Grizzly Bear and the Rainbow rolls but my kids like their Ramen and their California rolls and of course their desert. They have a great outdoor patio and big corner booths. The service is always great and attentive.

Met a couple of friends here on Saturday night and enjoyed myself. I got there a little bit later than my friends so they had already ordered. I checked out there rolls and had a few and they were delicious. Not overly spicy or salty and just good. I decided to order their philly roll as I wanted something super light.
I love that they have reverse happy hour--even on Saturdays! Unfortunately it does not include their mixed drinks, so I decided to get an ace pear pineapple cider. It was very refreshing and went great with the roll.
My friend ordered their chicken with vegetable teriyaki bowl that looked and tasted amazing. It had large chunks of broccoli, onions, scallions, and chunks of chicken on top of a bed of thick noodles. I had a few bites and I was super impressed. I actually wished I had ordered one of their bowls versus the sushi rolls. Their bowls were only $12 and could have easily been two or three meals. I definitely plan on come back here and get one of their bowls. I have been sleeping on this place for years!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debbie S.Pearland, TX0534Feb 1, 2023
Disgusting bathrooms and cups! I could see in the prep area and saw raw meat and fruit touching! Someone should call the health inspector! I just might! Rude manager too!

Came here for date night. Waitress was nice but didn't return for a long time. It was not that busy. We ended up ordering from the sushi bar after he asked us if we've been helped yet. I asked for green tea and hubs asked for regular ice tea. We both got the same tea which wasn't green or regular tea. Very confusing. The only thing I enjoyed was the Captain Crunch. I had to ask for our check since we were just over it. I'm giving 2 stars only because the sushi makers were pleasant.

Started off terrible. Get in and there is no one at front. They have you wait for to be seated. The waiter/host stops by and walks off. When he finally gets back, he says sit anywhere and he'll bring us menus. Why didn't he say that in the first place? Then we are ready to order and he doesn't come back. End up ordering straight from the sushi bar. But we have to wait to order the potstickers from the waiter. (I would recommend not ordering them, it's $9 for 4 of them. What a rip off.) It didn't get much better. I won't be back. I'll stick to Teharu in south Tempe.

What an awesome place to get sushi!! Very nice upscale sushi restaurant in downtown Tempe. Brand new building took Sushi101 from a local dive to fine dining. Wonderfull staff and better fish. Can't wait to visit AZ again so I can come back here!!

Delicious sushi and fast service. Waitress made a great recommendation to try the ASU roll, and I had no regrets. The roll was really tasty with good texture. I also have the spicy tuna which was fresh, and their fried pot stickers which didn't disappoint either !!!
