Finding an open & reliable camera repair shop is harder than you think! Luckily Steve's Camera Service turned out to be just that - Open & reliable along with friendly, helpful and willing to get on it right away.
Although my camera was doomed and couldn't be salvaged, I got great service on the spot with a good 20 min of tinkering and trying to fix it at no cost to me. I'm happy to report that good customer service still exists! Thank you

Every photographer or camera enthusiast needs a reliable, reasonable, and accessible camera repair shop and that's exactly what I found when I went to Steve's Camera Service.

I was out on the ocean doing some whale watching, and the zoom I was using got splashed a little bit with saltwater. Not dunked or doused, but wet enough to cause some exterior wear and tear that I didn't like looking at. I told Paul at Steve's Camera Service what had happened over the phone, and he quoted me at $45 and 1 day to restore the housing of the lens. I dropped it off and a day later it was back in my hands looking brand new.

steve is the best! i bought a contax t3 in january 2022, and shortly after, it's teeth wore out. a notoriously difficult repair, steve was able to fix it in a quick turnaround. since, my contax t3 has been plagued with mechanical issues--and steve always fixes it quickly. very grateful for his help!!
