I love Stein Mart!!! I have been to countless stores looking for shorts...& in FL no less. Not only is it still summer here but I have had no luck until now finding nice black, khaki, & jean shorts that fit perfectly until my visit to Stein Mart today. On top of the fact that I found exactly what I was looking for, the black & khaki shorts were only $14.99, a huge savings from the original price, & the jean shorts were $29.99 & the brand Seven. After finding the shorts & literally doing a victory dance in the fitting room with my mother laughing at me, I then saw the cutest black leather flip flop sandals which are B.O.C Born's & so cute & comfy. I was tired of hearing my mother complain that I shouldn't be wearing the cheap & unsupportive Old Navy flip flops so for $29.99, it's worth every penny! Not only are they comfortable & my feet will thank me while traveling in Vietnam & Hong Kong, but I will get great use out of them starting the school year in September when it's scorching in part of my Brooklyn school building! (At least I have A.C. in my classroom!) When we got to the cash register, the associate was so sweet & friendly & we made small talk & I told her my purpose for my excitement over my purchase for my travels & she gave me 20% off the shoe price even though I don't have a rewards card since I don't live in FL & they were $22!! Not only does Stein Mart have clothes, they have under garments, pantyhose, socks, shoes, furniture, fashion jewelry, & chachkies!!! Great store!!!

Stein Mart, not many people know about this department store some don't even know this location is here. This location has been here sense i can remember, but it is a bit hidden and it is right of Jamestown blvd across from the Outback and next to Publix (across the street)
Stein Mart has been around but i had never stepped in to one before or at least not in a long time, i came here because they have a 12 hour sale that was supposedly Friday and Saturday witch is what i was told by an employee at the one in Casselberry, when i tried using the $10 off coupon i was told the sale was not in till Saturday and we also forgot the coupon so the Cashier/Employee made a big deal about it after we had been told by an associate when we walked in the door that we could use the 10 bucks with out the coupon , and what turn out to happen is we needed to have a stein Mart " rewards card" it turn to be all a bunch of drama and crappy experience not only that no one there but the manager was friendly not even the costumer service person i asked to put my stuff away. The manager had to step in to try to explain and "solved" the situation.
I do not plan on return to this location and the stuff i left there to be picked up for the sale will be purchased at another department store with better costumer service and one that does not trick its costumers.
I saw many people trying to use the $10 dollar off and many were not happy about it so instead of just letting it slide they told us to come back, well guess what you lost business because you are not getting my money.
Sale items were not anything out of this world and nothing to be going crazy for also there is an additional 40% coupon on sale items only so if you don't get anything on sale you can not use it, nothing but a teaser to get people in the door. I will take my business else where.
To sum it up: Bad costumer service, and they just tease you to come back the next day when they don't try to make the COSTUMER happy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Doris M.Brooklyn, NY4965841587Jun 4, 2018
This is a really cute store. It reminds me of a Marshall's, TJ Maxx and Ross store just neater, more organized and for a much older crowd. They have really cute things for my mom and grandma. They also have a decent selection of shoes. The prices are really good. I love the options of home decor that is available. The people working are so sweet and willing to help you find what you're looking for.

Targeted at the middle aged to elderly crowd. Not my cup of tea but sometimes they have cool housewares.

Of all the discount marts of the sort, this is on the nicer side. It's definitely geared toward an older crowd than Ross, and they typically have better variety of clothing, shoes, jewelry, bath accessories, etc. The prices are decent, and you can usually find a lot of "clearance" items at about 50% off. Just be ready for a line, because they're not very well staffed and the customers are typically of the older, slower variety.

I am not happy with Stein Mart's shoe and lingerie departments. Every time I go in with the intention of buying shoes or lingerie, I am ignored, or never helped. I end up shopping in the other areas, such as clothing. I shopped this last weekend and was absolutely horrified at how seniors are ignored. One exception to my bad experience was having great service from Jennifer who rang up my purchases. She was not condescending nor patronizing.

If you wait for end of season clearance sales you can get great casual clothing for what you would pay at a thrift store! Especially on their shoes!

Went there this afternoon to try to exchange a shirt that was given to me as a gift. The woman at the register was flustered because she could not pull up a price for the shirt so she called over a young red headed woman whose personality was that of a piece of wood. This woman refused to acknowledge me standing at the register and proceded to talk around me as if I wasn't there. The red head was able to find out that the shirt was a discounted $3.25. Wow, good to know since the ugly shirt was bought by my mother-in-law. I already knew she didn't like me, but geez! Then the red head takes off and leaves the woman at the register even more flustered because she has no idea how she was able to retrieve that price. I tell her to call the red head back over while I SHOP and we can apply the 3.25 to a new shirt and I will pay the difference. She says she is off the clock in 10 mins and doesn't want to help me, and besides she then points out that they have a 60 day return policy and judging by the color of the shirt (burnt orange), which is a fall color, it is beyond 60 days. Horrible customer service!!!!
