Takes cash, credit card, Starbucks reward and Apple Pay / Samsung Pay.

This Starbucks is located in the busy streets of Gallery app Chinatown. At first glance, it appears to be a very small shop. However, there is an upstairs where you will find plenty of tables and chairs. They do play loud music upstairs which is done on purpose to avoid customers from staying too long. This is understandable given that this is in a busy city area.

In terms of food options, you can get the typical small pastries and hot sandwiches. They also served tons of hot and cold drinks. Recommend you figure out what to order as soon as you get in line as the lines move pretty quickly.

In terms of customer service, it's really hit or miss. Lately, service has been getting better. We really do appreciate the cashiers asking whether I prefer the drink to be sweeten or unsweeten.

Overall, this is a decent shop for your coffee / tea fix. There is plenty of seating here, but will get crowded during rush hour. Plan accordingly.

Bottom Line: Good enough for coffee but customer service is definitely lacking.

The employees here seem so distracted. I placed an easy order for two drip/brewed coffees and even that seemed a bit challenging. The employees were so wrapped up in their own conversation that they had to ask for my order again and I think they poured me an extra coffee not realizing the other barista had already done it. Next time I will be less lazy and I'll walk around the corner to Compass.

Yung Gun Anthony...thank you for stepping away briefly from your customers to make sure I was in the right direction for my pizza excursion.

I popped my head in to get some quick 411 & Anthony gave it to me. He asked me to wait a second, juggled a few orders, & came back to me make sure I was good...that I was. Note to self, stop back through after my downtown trekking to see if he's working.

6 hours later, here I was & there he is.

So this time, we placed an order & I waited for the Ladies Room. Geesh, the wait felt like it was a 1/2 hour, yet finally became available. Yet NOT usable!

Big Ant, was to my rescue yet again, as he not only restocked, he darn sure refreshed. For me & my extreme OCD, I whole heartedly appreciated his effort to go beyond his latte duties. Everyone else seemed to be smiling walking out the door or going upstairs, so he must be doing some right with his customer skills.

Theres thousands of SB locations worldwide, yet for me, which ever location I visit, & I am taking care of in an overly & greatly manner, it's noted.

      Anthony, you're noted, THANKS.

      Barist-o!

SO I'm a little conflicted on how many stars to give this Starbucks because I have a love-hate relationship with it.

I work on 9th Street and literally come here every day during my lunch break. The last couple of weeks I have been getting the Iced Guava White Tea Lemonade, unsweetened, but my normal order usually involves a caramel macchiato of some kind with almond milk. I've been here a couple of times when they have run out of almond milk -- which is always a let down.

The staff is mediocre. They always seem a little distracted, to be honest. My experience with this Starbucks is that it is fairly clean -- no complaints on that front, and they have all the basic things Starbucks has.

I haven't been upstairs yet because it's hard for me to go up and down stairs but they do have quite a bit of seating in their downstairs area -- and even some hidden spots that you can go to get some privacy maybe to study or whatever but still look out the window and be around everyone else.

There's a door to go out of near the area you pick up your order but have only seen people go out of it -- I never have myself.

One star you have no power to charge anything. All electrical outlets not working what a joke.

I have returned home after my trip and have sent an official complaint to corporate office. I will add to this review after I hear back from Starbucks.

Very helpful staff, great drinks and cool atmosphere. Wasn't sure what I wanted. They made a recommendation and it was very good. It was clean. Service was quick. Very clean and convenient location - right on the corner. Good place to stop for your pick me up.

Pretty standard starbucks here. I typically order ahead and simply grab my drink, and haven't had a problem yet with getting something messed up (knock on wood). I've seen others have their drinks come out wrong, but the baristas are friendly and have no problems remaking them.

I have to say, the customer service at this location is quite pleasant- especially for DC. I have encountered way too many customer service problems at other DC locations, but this one is spot on. Very patient and nice staff here.

But, the negatives: The baristas really don't know how to make a cup of coffee. I have had OK results with cold brew coffee but anything like a latte is just poor in quality and taste. I think a management should arrange an overhaul meeting with staff to go over the basics. I had a green tea latte the other day that tasted like chalk (too much tea added) and a flat white that was not silky, creamy, or sweet (all of the necessary components).

Honestly, when these drinks are done correctly they are quite satisfying. However, when I get neither what I like nor what I pay for, it's a huge disappointment.

Everybody knows Starbucks. What more can I say? I get the same thing almost every time: Grande Caramel Cloud Macchiato, or regular Caramel Macchiato. I can get work done or just chill. Today I'm trying to work, but being that I left my computer charger in my office, I'm forced to chill. Whatevs. At least I've got my Macchiato. ‍

This is a well-placed, two story Starbucks that gets lots of foot traffic from locals and tourists alike. Sadly it suffers from inconsistent service.

When I tried ordering a Mocha Frappuccino, the cashier didn't seem to understand me, stating they were out of some sort of ingredient or another - this was in the morning - so I decided to go for a double shot of espresso instead.

Find this Starbucks in DC's faux Chinatown. Yes, this means it sports Chinese signage, but we all know Starbucks is as ubiquitous overseas as they are here.
