I spent several days here during my 2 week holiday. It's close to the Middletown YMCA so before heading home I treated myself to a dark roast coffee. Some days the line was busy, others it was quiet. There will always be people standing by for drinks because this location does not have a drive thru. Each time my experience was quick and accurate. I also appreciated seeing a familiar barista face and was happy to see the others taking care of people even during a rush of drinks.
Plenty of seating inside, some for larger groups. During nicer weather they have a small patio. They have a private parking lot and being in a strip shopping center there's always a spot to park. Very clean inside including the restroom. Like other Starbucks they have food and retails items for sale.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Jul 8, 2016Previous reviewYou'll always get a great cup of coffee at Starbucks so its locations are more about the atmosphere. This location gets credit not only for its outside seating but for the indoor couch and red chairs, along with several other seating areas. If you are going to meet with a group, this is a location to consider.
I have visited this location for several years due to its proximity to work/home; however, I've been frequenting other locations more and this boils down to the staff. I've spent too many occasions listening to work gossip, debates and conversations behind the counter, sometimes engaging with co-workers instead of the customers. Ironically, it's not usually the younger employees. Just recently, while I was meeting with a group, an employee came up to our table to tell us "we're closing in 10 minutes." I've never experienced that at a Starbucks and was immediately frustrated, especially since we understood they were closing soon. Actually, just typing about this experience frustrates me all over again.
FYI: This location does not have a drive-thru, but there are several other locations nearby that do. - 57416526230May 8, 2019
Had to stop here on my way to meet a friend for lunch.
It was a little past 1 o'clock on a Wednesday and the humidity was making me crave some Starbucks!
I got the Mango Dragonfruit! Colorful, not too sweet, and refreshing!
My sister got an iced matcha latte with almond milk. I'm not a huge fan of their matcha lattes, but the iced version was pretty good!
This area of town is not as busy as it used to be now that the Walmart on the same strip closed down. There's a huge parking lot so no worries about that.
The baristas were super nice and seem to love working with each other.
The space is very open! Lots of tables and chairs too.
I saw a few people on their computers. Seems like a great place to chill since it was quiet.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Mar 27, 2020
Large Starbucks location. Clean store. Pretty much empty during this coronavirus outbreak. Lots of merchandise and coffee for sale. Plenty of seating.
I ordered a nitro brew and a latte. I paid with the Starbucks app. There were two other people in the store, enjoying their coffee and doing work or chatting on the phone.
I didn't wait long. My coffee was delicious. I took them to go.
Four stars because no drive through.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Apr 11, 2017
Starbucks taste and quality is pretty typical across the board so I think a Starbucks review is highly based on service. The team here is great. I visit many different Starbucks locations and they are one of the friendliest that I have encountered. It seems like they really try to get to know their customers on a personal level. Bonus-they seem to genuinely like their jobs and want to be there!
Probably due to location or repeat customers, they are typically very busy. For some reason, this Starbucks isn't as loud as some of the others that I've visited which is great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katherine T.Louisville, KY5751419Mar 22, 2021
THIS Starbucks location is amazing. I regularly drive out of my way just to get my coffee or tea from here. The baristas always have smiles on their faces and seem highly trained in customer service! I highly recommend this location, even if it is a little bit out of the way. You'll be greeted by their kindness, attentiveness, and quick service!

I'm not sure why there are not many reviews here. This is close to my company's home office so it's a great location to work before meetings. There is plenty of seating and some seating outside, when the weather allows. It's great for mobile pick up. There is a large table for a larger group, but it usually taken when I visit. And it's usually the same people, I think they use Starbucks as their office. :) This is a hopping place about mid morning during the week. I have not visited here on a weekend day. Service is friendly and fast. Our home office is moving so I am not sure I will frequent this location as much in the past.

This Starbucks is tucked away off Blankenbaker Rd in the strip mall area vacated by the old neighborhood Walmart. Nothing in this area seems to attract much business except for Louvinos on the other end. I've been dashing in for a 3 PM caffeine surge lately due mostly to the convenient location. It is a typical large Starbucks with plenty of seating and certainly parking due to the 'football fields' of spots once reserved for Walmart. No drive thru though. My only complaint is an older server with a Kenny Chesney cowboy hat that has a bit of a gruff attitude. She personifies 'resting bitch face'. I usually pause until someone else asks for my order.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews online, but I just had a super strange and unpleasant experience at this Starbucks. I ordered one coffee and an extra cup (made sure to order the extra cup before paying so I could be charged for it). The person that was ringing me up I believe is the manager. She was extremely (and very strangely) passive aggressive as I ordered the extra cup-- she furrowed her brow, stared directly at me with this long odd pause without saying anything for several seconds, and brushed her hands together as she dramatically turned away to get the coffee-- it was almost as if she was seeming to insinuate that I was trying to get away with something. I was so perplexed that I thought surely I was misunderstanding something, so I brushed it off.
When she handed me the coffee and extra cup, I politely asked for a lid. She then in a very irritated tone, oozing with passive aggressiveness, told me that "we don't do these sorts of things...but I *guess* it's fine this time". I was still very confused and had no idea why asking to buy an additional cup was a problem. I told her I was happy to buy the cup and wasn't asking for anything free, and she said "I can't do that" (what??) and continued to act as if I was stealing something. It was so incredibly strange and unsettling. I still have no clue what her problem was, but it was so unpleasant, that I won't return to this Starbucks.
I strongly urge upper management at this Starbucks to review this with this employee, as this incident really was completely inappropriate. If there is some policy against customers purchasing an extra cup (which I highly doubt is a thing), she could have just said so.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 21, 2018
Since Starbucks coffee is pretty much the same in whichever Starbucks one visits, my review is based on the service and the particulars of the location. I frequent this location for two reasons, it is very close to my home and the service is far better than what I have received at several other locations within the Middletown area. The staff are the friendliest of any Starbucks I have visited! The indoor area is spacious and clean and has wifi. The lines can be long but it moves quickly. There is plenty of parking as this location is at the end of a small shopping plaza. There is a small seating area outside that is quiet and picks up the wifi. The only thing missing is that this location does not have a drive thru for those days when walking in just seems to be too much to handle!
