This store has been open for a while and i have purchased some wine and soju in the last few weeks for a family event. I was rather surprised to find a great selection of wines, i am a fan of red, white and sparkling Italian wines and most stores neighborhood stores lack variety. I got lucky today. I found Lambrusco and Brachieto de Aqui, while the names may not sound familiar, i am sure if you look at the pictures on my review you may have seen them before. Prices were very good, not overpriced at all, very helpful staff willing to make suggestions and answer questions with a smile. Normally my wife walks in to buy wine, today i came in to browse as we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. Will come back and peruse the Japanese whiskey section as it seems prices are reasonable.

Came here to my favorite liquor store for some Christmas shopping. Gotta get ready for a couple of parties coming up in the next 2-3 weeks..lol Saw the owner Michelle, and she introduced me to a couple of nice gift sets that they had in stock.
First off, a gift box, with a bottle of Taittinger Champagne and nice 2 glasses for $50. And a box set of 6 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon by the famous wine label 'Chateau Lafite Rothschild' for $100. I'm no wine sommelier, and I prefer white wine anyway, but I thought 6 bottles from a world famous wine label for $100 sounds like a steal to me..And it comes in a nice wooden box!
And of course, Michelle knows how much I enjoy my whiskey, both blended and single malt, so she introduced me to Monkey Shoulder, which is a blend of 3 single malts: Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie. I bought a bottle and cracked it open that night..lol Very smooth finish, and sweet with a hint of vanilla. If you're a whiskey drinker like myself, for $32, get yourself a bottle of Monkey Shoulder! I also got a 3 bottles of white wine to go as well! Another awesome experience at my favorite liquor store! :DHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 5, 2015Previous reviewVisited my local liquor store cuz my stock at home has been pretty much depleted. The owner, Michelle was there today, and she introduced me to some of their new products.
They now have Crown Royal Regal Apple. Michelle gave me a sample. It has a strong Apple aroma and it's pretty smooth. Very drinkable. And $30 for a 750ml bottle. Not bad at all.
Other new bottles include an American-made Organic Vodka called American Harvest..that they're selling in a box that comes with a complimentary mug for $20. Michelle said it was very smooth.
For Whisky drinkers, there's a Talisker Storm Single malt for $50. And for those with more exotic tastes: Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Aged 20yrs for a mere $2000.. :P Loll
I stuck with my usual Bartenura and various bottles of Malbec, Merlots and Cabernet..and a bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. Michelle was nice, hooking me up with a bottle of the organic vodka, American Harvest. :-)Mar 30, 2014Previous reviewThis is my go-to spot for booze. Frequent customer here. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about most of the liquor that her store carries. If she doesn't know, her daughter who sometimes helps out there, knows the rest.
This store has a convenient location on Springfield Blvd..and the prices are fair, compared to other liquor stores nearby. I like their extensive selection of wines and other import liquors like Sake and Soju and the heavier Chinese rice wines. - Deanna C.New Haven, CT408140346Nov 26, 2015
Family owned and operated since 1997, this cute little shop is a one stop shop for all your alcohol slash alcoholic needs. I came here based on Yelp reviews to do some shopping for Thanksgiving. This was actually my first time in a real liquor store, since I'm originally from California where we can just get alcohol from the local supermarket. This experience was so much better and I'm now considering relocation based off this experience alone (kidding, mom).
Even though they were super busy and had approximately 20 other customers bustling in and out during the 30 minute timeframe I was here (all doing last minute Thanksgiving shopping like myself, I presume), Amy took the time to patiently make recommendations. She's so knowledgable about everything and can answer literally any and every question about wines/hard liquors.
I came in looking to buy a bottle of wine for dinner and a bottle of bubbles for dessert... I left with six bottles. Due in part because I couldn't decide between all of Amy's stellar recommendations and in part because there's a 5% discount on 6 bottles (10% discount on 12 bottles, for those of you who want to stock up even more).
Upon entering, Amy (bless her soul) offered me a taste of Chilean Cabernet (she said it was produced by Odfjell of Chile)... Whatever that means. All I know is that it was highly rated by wine spectator (90 points out of 100) and Springfield Wine & Spirits was having a special on it for only $10. And I never say no to free wine.
Another tidbit of info I learned here that I want to impart on the Yelp world: champagne can only be called champagne when it's made in the classical method in Champagne, France. These start at ~$40. You can also grab a bottle of bubbles made in the classical method "methode champenoise" if it's not from Champagne (a Cremant) and that starts at ~$15. I was assured they that the $16 bottle I grabbed was just as good as the fancy ones from France.
After my "lesson in winetology", I ultimately left with:
1. Odfjell Armador Cabernet Sauvignon ($10, the one I tried)
2. Baby Bear Syrah ($60, a red that's a small production red wine made by the guy in Desperate Housewives. This was my splurge for Thanksgiving dinner)
3. Gruet Blanc de Nour ($16, these are the bubbles for the pre-dinner toast)
4. Christian Simon Chablis 1er Cru ($20, supposedly a great price for a premier cru chablis)
5. Paul Durdilly Beaujolais Nouveau ($11, a thanksgiving seasonal offering from France)
6. Florette Rose de Provence ($10, I just wanted to see what the rosé craze was all about)
Can't wait to try everything!
Competitive prices, extra discounts for larger purchases, a plethora of options, and knowledgable & friendly employees (can you tell, I'm completely infatuated with this place). I'm actually so glad I don't live in the area - I would be a raging alcoholic by now!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shea H.Glen Head, NY5655Jan 8, 2018
In my opinion this is one of the best stores for wine in Bayside.
The wine selection is expansive, current and well thought out. They even carry high value wines that your typical drinker would not imagine opening let alone buy. I being a hopeless wine fan do, and greatly appreciate it. Cough Opus, Lafite cough cough... :)
It's a family run business, well informed/knowledgeable about what they're selling. I've been going there since becoming legal drinking age, albeit not frequent, but I'm always surprised at how current the selection is there. Cheers Amy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Salvatore L.Flushing, NY841Apr 1, 2017
Walked in for the first time to buy a bottle of Blanton's Bourbon (which isn't easy to find) and found they have a nice selection of bourbon. Went back two days later to make a few more selections. The woman behind the counter (I didn't get her name, I
should have) was very helpful and courteous as well. One of my bottles was a little more than I've seen at other stores and she adjusted the price.
This is now my go-to shop for all my alcohol needs (and there are 3 within walking distance of my home).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alicia C.Bayonne, NJ66Jul 10, 2019

When I moved out of my parents house...to the other side of Douglaston ( Yep.. I did not go too far), I used to come to this liquor store all the time. For what I know this is a family owned business that has been managed by the same family for more than 10 years.(People, let me know if I am wrong) The store is located right off the Springfield blvd exit on the LIE and its next to the chase on Springfield, which makes it very convenient. Even though the store is not huge, they carry liquors from all over the world like: Korea, Japan, Mexico,France, Colombia (they carry aguardiente del Valle, Antioqueno and Nectar ;) )
Whoever is at the register, is always friendly. The staff usually offers help if they see you walking around undecided.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Carolyn M.Queens, Queens, NY383May 23, 2018
The nicest people in this store! Always helpful and friendly. The prices are also reasonable. Strongly recommend

This is my local purveyor of spirits and I am glad to be a patron. Not because I drink a lot of alcohol (which I do), but because they have a great selection of wine, spirits, liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages.
The staff is very friendly and never gives you the bums rush when you're taking too long to pick out which wine to cook with and which to drink. They'll actually offer their help without being obnoxious. The prices aren't very different from other wine & liquor stores, but they are reasonable.
The best part of this place is that 9 times out of 10 I get carded by the teenager at the register. Is that my vanity speaking? Why, yes it is.
I'm a fan!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Christopher L.Oakland Gardens, NY395828Mar 25, 2014
The lady behind the counter is very friendly and courteous. I don't know if it's her daughter but sometimes there's a younger lady who has been very helpful when it comes to choosing a Shiraz which is my favorite red wine. She'll also give some pretty good suggestions in various price ranges too.
The prices here are reasonable for a liquor store and I don't feel like I'm over paying compared to the liquor store on Bell Blvd. in the shopping center.
This location does have street parking and a parking lot in the back. Street parking is the better choice as there's not back entrance to this store from the lot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
