Daren was so friendly and thorough for my pre-buy condo inspection. As a first time homebuyer I didn't know what to expect but he explained everything and got me my report that afternoon. He made me feel confident in my first purchase and I knew what would be on the report before I officially received it. Spotlight Inspection performed a pre inspection on our house and did an incredible job! Daren was very thorough and knowledgeable. The house we bought was 31 years old and hadn't been updated but he helped walk through each space and did an excellent job explaining the construction of the home and pointed out possible issues. He also has the ability to snake the plumbing line, which a lot of inspectors don't. I'd hire them again in a heart beat. Daren helped us make an informed decision with our offer and his insights were so valuable!

Daren was amazing. Walked us through the entire thing, was extremely detailed and wrote out a report that was incredibly easy to follow outlining not only the issues, but prioritizing them so we can see at a glance exactly what we're dealing with.

We've worked with him twice, once where we learned enough to save ourselves from a bad decision and once where we're now confident in our new home, and I couldn't imagine using anyone else down the road.

I would highly recommend hiring Daren as the home inspector, whether you are a seasoned investor or a first time buyer. My experience with Daren was absolutely fantastic. Though I was familiar with real estate purchases, it was my first time purchasing a property in Washington state. Therefore, there were many questions that I had, and Daren addressed all of them in a professional manner. In particular, what was memorable about Daren was that he was systematic, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in his inspection procedure and the report. After the inspection, the way he broke down the findings into easily understandable format and walked us through them was very helpful and also allowed us to place trust in his process. Darren provided me with two separate inspections. The first made me aware of critical issues I wasn't aware of that led to me pulling out of the contract. The second alerted me to a number of issues that would have needed my attention very soon. His detailed report allowed me to get those resolved before the contract closed. His reports are detailed and thorough, easy for me to read with no technical knowledge, but also with the detail necessary for a professional to gain the insight they need. He got reports to me quickly which helped me stay competitive and was fast to respond to any questions. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

I am someone that knows very little about plumbing, construction, electric, and is not handy. Even with all of these conditions, Darren made me feel 100% comfortable in asking any and all questions until I felt I understood everything he was explaining. Past that, he went over the top in providing us schematics, pictures, and reference points in his write up that acted as something we could go back to over the course of living in the inspected home. On top of ALL of this, he also was able to be scheduled online and come out for an inspection the day after booking and got us the report day-of! I would never want to work with another inspector.
