Splash Cafe

All I can say is loaded clam chowder in bread bowl! That's all you need to order. The clam chowder is flavorful and all the toppings together elevates the experience with the toasted bread bowl. I order the same thing every time we're in Pismo and it never disappoints. I even order it when I'm not craving it and I've had zero regrets.

Took my girlfriend up there for the first time I've been coming here since I was a kid. We ordered clam chowder with a sourdough bowl as well as an order of fish and chips. The fish and chips were delicious. The cornmeal crust was very good and not at all oily or greasy their tartar sauce tasted great.
Oh, the chowder could've used a little less heavy cream and not been as thick. I wish it had a little more filling as in clams and potatoes, but it's still ranks up there. Sourdough bread rocks

THE BEST clam chowder in the west coast!! So fresh, flavourful, comforting, and filling! The portion is amazing especially with their freshly toasted bread bowl, it's enough to share with two people for sure!

Their lobster rolls are also just amazing! So fresh, packed, and flavourful! Also incredibly filling.

I always come here every time I stop by this area :)!

Wow, so awful. Sadly, this place has really gone downhill. Lobster roll contained imitation crab meat mixed in with a few pieces of mediocre lobster. Fish and chips, we're made from some type of thin white frozen fish. Almost seemed like catfish consistency. Clam chowder was still decent, but definitely not worth the wait. This place used to be good and now it's just a tourist trap.

Splash is a very popular spot in Pismo, be prepared to wait at least an hour in line before you get to order. I had the clam chowder bowl, it delicious! The restaurants location is neat, tons of people everywhere, eating, drinking and playing music. It's a fun lively atmosphere!

THE LINE IS NO JOKE! It's very long, like an hour. You can put your order in online but even that has delays. But, dang that was some good soup. We shared it because the bread bowl is super filling. It's a great spot to eat if you're visiting Pismo beach!

Cute little spot conveniently located near the pier/downtown area. Easy to find and parking wasn't too bad on a Sunday late morning. Most parking spots you have to pay for but you may get lucky and find a free parking spot a few blocks away.

The workers were very nice and helpful. We ordered the famous clam chowder bread bowl with seafood, clams, and bacon. I wish I got fully loaded so I could have the green onions and cheese too but i can try it again next time. The soup was very milky for my boyfriends liking but I didn't mind it. Definitely needed to add more salt and pepper and the oyster crackers definitely complimented it. We took our food to go and ate it near the pier which was so perfect. We also wanted clam strips but unfortunately they ran out that day.

If you like you're clam chowder milky, then this is the place for you! The extra toppings addition is a great idea. They have plenty of space to eat in as well, but I couldn't resist taking it out towards the water. Only suggestion is hoping the soup would've been hotter bc the toppings made the soup colder once we mixed it all in.

Got the fully loaded clam chowder, shrimp slo boy, and chicken sandwhich.

Clam chowder: the soup is thick and creamy, chefs kiss! All the add ons are yummy as well!

Shrimp slo boy: I wasn't a fan of the cocktail sauce (it had a kick to it) and I didn't get much slaw but the shrimp was good

Chicken sandwhich: was delicious, tasted like an elevated mcchicken

Excellent food & service!! The area is beautiful and good for the whole family...BUT have lots of patience because if you don't order in advance or online you will be waiting in a long line!
