This place looks fairly sketchy from the outside. The inside is a little better than I expected based on appearances.

It's small bar, with a small back patio that seems to mainly be used for smoking. They've got about five beers on tap, a full liquor selection, a meat burger available to eat but not much of a kitchen. Diverse crowd, from the alcoholic barfly to the curious passerby. One pool table. Cleaner than I expected. Very much a dive.

Bartender was friendly, actually chatted with us. Seemed to know the regulars. We had two beers and the punch special. Small glass but relatively cheap drinks. Not a strong pour but not stingy either.

I live in the neighborhood and probably wouldn't return, especially not on my own as a single female. But my partner loves dive bars and said he'd come back. So if that's your thing, this is a bar for you. Someday Portland won't have any more of these no-frills, old-school places.

Heidi is a great bartender. We had the Thursday lunch burger special which was a great deal!!!
It's exactly what a great dive bar is supposed to be.
FYI... it's cash only, but they have an ATM.
We'll be back for sure.

There's a great crew at Spirits. And the vibe is super chill. Great happy hour place to relax after work with friendly regulars. They make a delicious raspberry limeade drink!!

My only sorta complaint are the food options. Mostly just fried foods, but it's a small place so it makes sense. You can grab a snack with your drinks at least

So Im subletting for a month down the street from this joint. I think its a great dive bar full an array of different people. Dont listen to the other people that have left reviews on here. The bartenders Ive spoken to were all very very nice. If you want cheap strong drinks and a good back patio to smoke cigs. This is your spot! Havent been there for food yet, but I will change that and write more!

The building is dirty and tacky the staff is rude do not recommend anybody wasting their time to go there
