I go to Spec's for Karaoke and drinks, so that i all I can fairly give you a review on that! I always have a blast. They have two karaoke dj's they rotate between on Friday and Saturday night. Those are the days that I come to sing so I can't say if they have karaoke on other nights of the week.
It can get pretty busy fairly quick, so I recommend coming early and getting your songs into the dj if you want to sing. They do a pretty good of job of rotating people and getting everyone in though. I do think they serve food at night until a certain time but the kitchen has always been closed by the time my hunger comes a knockin! But I have heard that it's good! They don't have the biggest beer selection but I have found something I like among their options.
Like any bar they do have other things to keep you busy if karaoke is not your thing. Darts, shuffle board, pool and a few arcade games are nestled in the same room. You might be able to manage a night of good times.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Scott M.Surprise, AZ12Mar 17, 2024
I love playing NTN Trivia there! The food is fantastic! There is a great selection of beer and drinks. Definitely my favorite sports bar in Albuquerque

We used to be long time loyal customers.
Service is horrendous.
This used to be an all sports team bar.. no longer so...
They are trying to convert to. Baltimore Ravens bar.
Today I experienced the worst..
Only to be served a water once and never had the waitress check on us
Also ordered food that we can ended up cancelling because we were still waiting waiting for food and hour and a half later
We left to go eat McDonald's.
Another faithful customer lostHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1Jan 9, 2017Previous reviewWhat can I say...
This is my "Cheers"
I come every Sunday to watch my football games.. It's where everyone knows your name..
TVs everywhere.. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. I recommend the bowl of creamy green Chile soup.. It will make your mouth water.
Service is great...
Friday and Saturday nights they do have Karaoke for those that like to sing...

I've come here on and off for years, mostly to watch college football on Saturdays but also to just hang out with friends. The menu has gotten a bit smaller over time but the food is consistently quite good. I tried the fried pickles this time and they were amazing. The veggie sandwich had a variety of veggies and was a big portion and really fresh. The fries are always amazing. The servers are friendly though things can be a bit slow if there's a big crowd in for games. In general it's a good space with a lot of TVs, pool tables, and nice clean restrooms. Great for groups big or small or just get togethers.

We had a great experience at Spectators Sports Bar & Grill until it was time to pay our check. (The food was good with a huge menu to choose from and our waitress was great!) unfortunately, they did not honor the 15% off our lunch for checking in. I had the red 15% off lunch coupon opened and showed it to the manager but he called us sketchy which I felt was quite rude. When I showed my Yelp app to our waitress and she took my phone to the owner they said they would give us the 15% off but made a point to say they did not authorize Yelp to offer this discount. We declined and paid in cash then left.

my cross country running group (Albuquerque Hash House Harriers) used this place as a beer stop on a run. Staff were friendly, place was clean, bathrooms well maintained. We all congregated outside in the fenced in area (see pictures), good place for a bunch of sweaty people. Beers were of quality with many to choose from. Food looked good, I know for sure the nachos were outstanding. Lots of TVs for your sports day/night. Stop in tell them their Hasher friends sent you. One of those bars that after going for awhile everyone will know your name

Bottom Line:
Pretty standard sports bar, but with dang good food. Staff has always been friendly. Prices in line with the competition.
Top Line:
I've eaten at Spectators a few times now and always found it to be a pretty pleasant experience, in spite of interior being distinctly on the dark side and, if crowded, noisy enough to inhibit conversation. Usual fare I've eaten was burgers 'n beers.
This trip I hit them up on a 2-for-1 Ribs Tuesday. $32.25 got us two half racks of ribs with fries, plus two ramekins of cole slaw & a slice of Wonder bread toast. The platter of food proved sufficient to fill me up.
Ribs were *very* tender, on the verge of literally "fall off the bone" tender. The membrane on the inside of the ribs was left on, which helped hold the rack together. Rib meat was also plenty moist. The only downsides, as a personal preference, were that these were oven roasted ribs on which smokiness was very subdued, if present at all, and that I would have liked some BBQ sauce on the side for dippin'. I daresay we could have gotten sauce had we asked, but we were so busy piggin' out on the porcine goodness that we forgot. What sauce came dressing up the ribs was pretty standard, quite sweet, KC style sauce. Not bad, but not overtly spectacular either.
French fries were especially good, being excellently fried to a crispy crunch on the outside while remaining creamy smooth on the inside. They arrived screamin' hot. These were straight up french fries. No added herbs or spices or deceptive fancy foofery trying to upstage the simple straightforward flavor of cut up tubers fresh from a swim in searingly hot oil before receiving a dusting of salt. I'd come back here just for the fries!
Cole slaw was crispy crunchy fresh to a rare degree. Obviously fresh cut. Only demerit being that the slaw came fairly dry, so I was wishing for more juiciness on it. What dressing was there had a bit of a soft & subtle herb'ish shift going on, so garnered a bit more interest that I usually give to cole slaw.
So if you're on the hunt for a low key, casual joint of the sports bar variety (with dang good food & nice staff) on the Eastside of town, Spectators is your jam.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 8, 2023Updated review
This is a great place to go if you have a large group and need to feel comfortable getting up and visiting everyone in your party and not being obnoxious to the tables around you. We thought the food had taken a step up since we had last been here and we thought they had good food before. They also have a good selection of booze other than wine; would like a better selection of wine. Sarah was great at taking care of our large group so kudos to her!!

They were delicious and we had enough for another meal each. We are going to go back and try some of the other daily specials. We have gone here on and off for years. It can be a little in consistent but it's usually a solid place for drinks and bar food. Lots of tvs if you want to watch a sporting event. It is definitely an older crowd although I know young adults who go for karaoke on Saturdays and they really like it.

My wife is a medical physician and tried to administer medical help in an emergency situation and the little DJ denied her assistance and in fact cussed her out. It was unprofessional and incredibly dangerous. The wait staff was very helpful, but the DJ was unnecessarily rude and aggressive. We will not be going there again.

I had one drink here, I was looking to play a game of pool, and I signed up for a karaoke song too. Neither of which I was able to do. The bartenders were very nice, but the meathead bouncers scrutinized me for some reason. I won't spend any more of my money here. It is a very insular and toxic environment . I spoke to the owner, who actually physically pushed me. I'll go ahead and refrain from litigious action, but fuck this place. I hope that bald fuck does well with taxes this year. If he keeps running people out, it might not go so well.
