I love the mushroom artichoke chicken. That is my go to meal for sure! I love all of the food and the pies are great! The customer service is always awesome in there. If your wanting breakfast for dinner or well anytime I would recommend trying the everything sandwich. It definitely hits the spot! Great food, Customer Service, atmosphere. All are great this is one of those places you have to try it to understand. Don't for get to get some pie while your there. If your to full from your meal juts get it to go!

Cute and quaint diner in the historic downtown Boulder City area. I ordered a salmon salad (blackened) that was a huge portion for the reasonable price. My husband ordered a huge burrito and the kids meals were also tasty.
The interior has a lot of Knick knack visuals that's conducive to what you'd expect a diner to have...inside and out. This made our trip even more notable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Warren R.Las Vegas, NV0222Mar 22, 2024

Delicious late lunch here for six of us. Seated promptly and a very cute vibe. The restaurant was about 70% full at the time.
Our server was attentive and quick at taking our orders. They have specials posted around the restaurant. Also a pie counter.
Food service was timely. Everyone was happy with their choices. The ice tea was fresh and tasty. Hash browns were crisp and good. Chili relleno casserole enjoyable. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, and broccoli tasted great. We opted for more gravy.
One minor point was cold banana bread with cold butter as a side. Took some home and when it is warmed in oven with room temp butter so good.
Be back to try other items. Fair prices, great service, good food, and nice quaint town to walk around after a meal. Easy parking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jackie O.Enterprise, NV40357815Apr 17, 2024
Cute diner! Good amount of favorable menu options, in my opinion. I ordered the clubhouse sandwich with sweet potato fries which was really good. I'd order that again! My husband ordered their hot dog with chili cheese fries. He said the hot dog was really good but the chili cheese fries was just meh. He said it tasted like chili from a can. We ordered an apple pie to go. This was the most disappointing thing! I don't think I've ever had a pie that was not sweet. It was so noticeable! There was no sugar in the pie! It tasted like really tangy apples with cinnamon filling but absolutely no sweetness. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or how they make it! Maybe they ran out of bulk sugar on pie-making day! In any case...probably won't try any of the other pies. I actually really wanted to try the coconut pie as my first option, but they didn't have any available that day.

Staying in Boulder for a couple of nights. Southwest Diner was right next to our motel. A dog friendly patio made it an easy choice to make. We were seated immediately on the patio and our waitress took our drink orders. The patio is right on the street so I was a little noisy but not unbearable. There is a shade over it so you are not in the direct sun. I ordered a chicken sandwich with the onion rings. My wife got a chili Verde burrito. Both were really good but the onion rings were really the star. They were breaded with panko crumbs and had great flavor. We will be back again to try the breakfast

This was a really cute spot on our way to hoover dam! The service was quick and the food came out quickly also. The chili verde was smokey and well seasoned. I liked the crispy tortillas and potatoes. My boyfriend and I ate a lot for what we felt was a very reasonable price.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tracy D.Middleboro, MA43723Apr 19, 2024
The Southwest Diner is a perfect breakfast joint to enjoy right outside Vegas (on the way to Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon). The coffee pours are generous and the food is incredible. I had to try the pork verde since I was visiting the south (from Boston). It was amazing. Spicy, sweet, filling! I had "those potatoes" and banana bread as a side. Everyone in my party enjoyed large-portioned meals that held us over all day. And better yet, for 4 people the tab only came to $77, a steal in Vegas!

Stop in to have a late lunch at 3 PM. We were immediately seated They have an outdoor patio curb side but we chose to sit inside. The diner has a comfortable southwest atmosphere. The entire restaurant is full of art memorabilia from back in the day. Service was prompt The menu has a larger selection of items for breakfast lunch and dinner. I ordered a cup of the soup of the day which was clam chowder. There were plenty of clams and potatoes. Very good soup. A loaf of bread and butter arrived along with our entrée. We shared an order of meatloaf. The entrée was large enough for 2 people plus some to take home. The meal was 3 slices of meat, mash potatoes gravy with onions, cheese and sweet corn. The meat was tender and delicious.
The diner is an easy drive from home so we will have to try them for breakfast.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Aug 30, 2023Updated review
If you haven't already, you need to try one of their delicious pies! We are particularly fond of the cherry.
Although not packed, it was busy. Didn't seem to slow down the servers as they moved from one table to another, taking orders & bringing meals. Several specials are shown on their blackboard, but none "spoke" to us.
As usual the food was good, service was better & prices were reasonable.
However, we did have an annoying fly trying to cut in our our meals.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Oct 26, 2022Previous reviewThis was our second time we've been here & both times we've been completely satisfied with the food, service & cost.
Erin was our waitress & was a shining example of what a great employee should be. Greeting us with a warm, friendly smile & very familiar with the menu, she went over the specials & brought out our drinks.
There was four in our party & we got a variety of dishes. I had the hamburger steak with grilled onions & mushrooms, green beans, mashed potatoes & gravy. The Mrs had their meatloaf with the same sides. Both were good, but mine was a bit overcooked. I asked for medium, which should show a bit of pink in the middle. Although tasty, it was cooked more than I prefer. Our meals came with ice cream, so we asked for a piece of cherry pie too. Boy, was that a good decision! Delicious pie, slightly warm & very flavorful.
The Mrs loved the interior decor of antique & vintage items. And the signs outside of the restrooms really tickled me. They do have outdoor patio seating, but I prefer interior dining.
If you're in Boulder City & hungry, this is a place you should try.
