I did not need there service.
That being said: They were very prompt in returning call,trying to help what was wrong. I would use them when in need of service.

I requested service to 30 year old fireplace that would not start. While Tim cleaned and got it started he was honest about the limitations for repair. His fee was fair, Tim was one of the first to respond, he arrived on time, was knowledgeable and respectful. Highly recommend Tim and SJ Fireplace.

Our fireplace has always been problematic, and we've had it serviced several times. In the past the technicians have always got it working but never quite knew what the problem was. Tim was able to diagnose the problem in minutes and more importantly, fixed it right! He then went on to completely service the fireplace including clean and POLISHING the glass.
Spent more than 2 hours on the job but never changed his estimate. Truely a bargain in this day age. I highly recommend Tim.

I needed my vented gas log insert installed and upon doing extensive research found whom I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. His name is Timothy Toomey 856-627-8156. This gentlemen is a Master Heart Specialist, very professional and very thorough, absolutely knows his craft. The gentlemen is very honest and reasonable no gimmicks NONE. I tend to be very skeptical before hiring someone, I will ALWAYS call on Mr. Toomey for any fireplace projects, pleasure to deal with, very punctual and very trustworthy. A ++++++++++++++++++++++. This gentlemen is also a licensed member of the National Fireplace Institute.

I was thrilled with the service I recently received from South Jersey Fireplaces. Tim was the utmost professional. He was right on time and was extremely courteous. He explained a lot to me about my fireplace, why it wasn't working, and what needed to be repaired. He kept the work area immaculate. His follow-up (a part needed to be ordered and he had to come back) was timely as well. The best part of all was that his prices were better than the competitors I priced by far.

I have a 20 year old insert gas fireplace that wouldn't fully light (the pilot was lit). I called SJ Fireplaces based on the good reviews on Yelp. Tim called me back a day later (on a Saturday afternoon which was impressive). He set up a time to come to my home the worked for our schedule (that coming Tues). He was very professional when he arrived and worked (took shoes off, brought drop cloth, his own vacuum, and wore a mask the entire time working). He identified the issue (that the pilot wasn't fully lighting). In hopes of not having to need to replace the pilot, he took the full unit apart to clean it with hope that would resolve the problem. He was successful and put it back together and it works perfectly again. His price for the service visit was very fair. A lesser person could have just said it needed a new pilot and came back for a 2nd service call which would have cost me more. I was very impressed by Tim (SJ Fireplaces) and would absolutely recommend his services!!

Our gas fireplace went from working well, to sort of working, to showing zero signs of life. After my own failed attempt to fix, I found South Jersey Fireplaces. Tim was quick to reply to my email, was flexible, and was at my place within the week. He came by and quickly figured out the problem, explained why it may have happened and how he would fix it. He was clean and professional throughout and made sure to give me some tips about the use and maintenance of my fireplace. Would definitely recommend his services and will certainly use him again if needed!
