On 2nd thought...I visited the showroom because I need to have a bathroom remodeled. Not the warm and fuzzy reception that I would expect especially for a repeat customer (and I did highlight that I was a repeat customer to the employee). When we started talking numbers I was asked my budget - I told her I didn't have one because I'm just starting to get bids. she gave me a range for the estimate - ok, that sounds high, but maybe someone can come look at the space and provide a precise estimate so I can compare it when I do get other bids. She reluctantly set up an appointment for the following week.
The day before the appointment I got a phone call asking if I had gotten other bids because the range that I was given was pretty close to where the estimate will come in and she went on to indicate that I said it sounded too high "for me". Ummmm...I never said it was too high "for me" but somehow it seems the conclusion has been drawn that it is too high "for me".
I'm sure people often waste their time getting estimates and not awarding them work but I prefer to work with someone who is not too presumptuous "for me".Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 12, 2016Previous reviewMy experience with Somerville Aluminum was a very positive one. I got a quote for my window and patio door installation, I accepted the quote and signed the contract. We worked with my association to get approval of the windows. We decided on an install date (after windows were received), they estimated the work would take a day, the work lasted a day and my house was undamaged and cleaned (swept and dusted) when they left. The "Quality Check" guy wasn't satisfied with how one of the sashes fit and ordered another one which came about a week later. Very nice, very professional. And my widows are beautiful! I was also offered financing (similar to a previous reviewer) and I paid it off within the six month 0% interest period and had no issues with it. This company was recommended to me and I would absolutely recommend this company to others.

When I decided to renovate our upstairs bath, I was confused, at best, regarding who to contract to get it done. After two years of attempts at finding anyone, I came upon the information one Sunday for Bellari Home Remodeling, and noticed that it was owned and operated by Gary Shiman, who I have trusted for years to do other large projects at my home.
The decision of who to contract with suddenly became a "no-brainer"!
The bathroom, just completed, looks and feels like you're in a very expensive hotel, with the feel of home.
The minor issues that existed at completion were handled quickly, and with the same quality and care as the renovation itself.
The negative comments in the reviews I see on this website just don't apply.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew P.NJ, NJ21Nov 23, 2021
I can't recommend this company. Their communication was pretty bad throughout the project. As the project was wrapping up they started to cut lots of corners and finally just ghosted us with an incomplete install.

I finally got around to replace my front doors on my house. I did some research and I finally made a decision to use Bellari. I went there to pick out the two doors and two side lights. I had priced the same doors elsewhere and Bellari came in a lot less expensive. Once I signed the contract they had the installer come to my house and check the measurements. Less than four weeks later they were at my house replacing the doors and sidelights. The installers that they recommended were amazing. The two installers didn't waste any time and the doors look great. On top of that the installers cleaned up and hauled away my old doors and sidelights. I would not hesitate with dealing with Bellari again.

To coordinate a full kitchen remodel is a challenging process; however, to do this through the Corona virus period created many struggles that were managed carefully and meticulously with the help of Steve Herbert and Kevin Koch. Words cannot express my gratitude for an amazing job of managing the project during challenging times. I'm finally enjoying my new kitchen and experimenting with all the cool appliances.
The project started with the creative designer, Samantha Lockwood, which took over a year to finalize the design and my desire not to give up an appliance after the township denied my variance creating challenges that were skillfully managed by Samantha. The experience was amazing and our brainstorming efforts created a design that was award winning. Samantha made sure that all my ideas fit proportionately into the design and I truly trusted her judgement and guidance.
Once the design phase was finished it was time to pass on the project to the project manager, which started with Steve Herbert. Steve started off the day with a smile and a strong good morning to make sure I was ready for the demo work. Whatever question/concern I had, Steve was able to reassure me that there was a need to tear down a wall and the workers would not damage anything beyond the kitchen; from a homeowner's perspective this was the scariest phase.
As COVID affected everyone I was lucky to have two project managers as the installation phase was managed by Kevin Koch. Honestly, I was concerned that a large project had a change in PM and how the instructions I gave to Steve would pass onto Kevin. To my surprise, Kevin was awesome in his own way and like Steve provided me wonderful step-by-step guidance. As the installation phase had many intricate details, Kevin was on top of everything. My list of items would easily be knocked down to nothing as Kevin was way ahead me.
All in all, the Bellari team truly stood up to there reputation and I'm extremely happy with the final work. I want to thank everyone at Bellari for a job well done and to know that I'm truly enjoying my kitchen!!! THANK YOU! This place is not your old Somerville Aluminum. We had been a customer of Somerville Aluminum for many of the 35 years we have lived in the area. We were always very satisfied with the wonderful jobs they did for us and the great customer service they provided even though they were always more expensive than their competitors. After Somerville Aluminum installed new windows in our house we even sent them a letter thanking them for doing such a good job. Everything changed when they were re-named Bellari Home Remodeling. I can't speak for their quality of work because we have never had them do any jobs for us even though we have tried twice. This last time, we called them to give us an estimate and they came to the house taking measurements and pictures --then disappeared. It's now been over 30 days since the estimate was done with no word of any kind from them.
So long Somerville Aluminum, it was so good to know you. Goodbye Bellari Remodelers--keep walking.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Candace K.Hillsborough Township, NJ38Dec 3, 2018

An absolute pleasure to work with! Super quick and efficient. Ari was extremely pleasant. Explained what happened, fixed the issue sooner than expected and was the most reasonable price.
Will definitely be calling for any future needs. Highly highly recommended!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shelbus U.Highland Park, NJ161984Apr 15, 2015
Since using their service I have been inundated with spam email for window replacements from their business as well as others. They clearly sold my info to spammers. Do NOT give your email to them whether you use their service or not.
While the filters catch most of the other spam, Somerville Aluminum themselves refuse to stop sending email despite repeated requests. Be warned.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
