Two words: Lobster Ravioli. It is delicious. The sauce, the consistency. Delicious. So was the minestrone with pesto. Very good. I would go back.

I can't decide if i want to give it a 3 or 4 stars, but I'll round it off to a 4. I most definitely won't be back here. I was here because a friend decided to make a last minute reservation here. She clearly just picked the first place that showed up on Yelp or wherever.
The food was decent enough. They have a 39$ prix fixe for a 3 course meal which is, you know, a good deal. I got the mussels which was good, a tad salty but good. I got the salmon farfaralle, which is actually made with squid ink farfaralle, something I've never had before. The Nutella donut was alright.
They have a poorly constructed outdoor seating area. The tables and chairs are unclean, it's on a very busy street, and the lady who sat me made a fuss about moving the table a bit inward so we the chairs keep falling off into the tiny crevice between the deck and the wall.
Come here only if you absolutely must. - Polly A.New York, NY424135266/22/2022
Can't believe we just discovered this gem in the neighborhood. The food is so so so good!!! The space is open, simple, with high ceiling. Service is super sweet and personable. The food is good good good. What a find!

It was a quick stop bc I craved Aperol Spritz.
Was made to perfection. So I order something light to accompany the drink.
The gentlemen in charge (owner?) was nice to accommodate as I wanted the Mussels in Garlic and white wine , not marinara souvenir as it's on the menu.
It was also perfectly made. The Mussels were tender, not overcooked, lots of garlic, just perfect. Few slices of light toast to dip in that spice (bc living that behind is a sin! ). It was a smaller portion than a main dish but I thought it was adequately priced.
They have nice setting to enjoy outdoor setting and clean bathroom.
I hope you come by and enjoy their food and the outdoor or just grab a drink (Aperol spritz highly recommended) to go. - 371241924062/13/2020
Made a last minute reservation for a table of four on a Saturday night (2/1/20). New spot in the area with a welcoming interior and plenty of table/bar seating.
Decided on the "Pollo" entree ($18) - a well cooked chicken breast sitting on top of marinated asparagus and red beet mash. To boot, there was also free warm bread to start, but served with cold butter (hard to spread). No liquor as of yet as they are still trying to get the license sorted.
Problems: was given a table near the wall where unfortunately there was an exposed heating pipe that's hot to the touch. Manager said she'd move the table after a few people cleared away (never did, we ended up moving ourselves). Had to flag down waitress to put in our order after several failed attempts to get their attention. Food took quite some time to come out - even after waitress saying it would be right out. Looks like they don't have the kinks worked out here yet; hopefully things will get better. - 5312270512/11/2019
On the good side, food was delicious. Most importantly that's what you look for in a restaurant.
We ordered the beet salad to start (my GF thought it tasted weird but I didn't find anything wrong with it), the fish - which was very tasty and a pasta dish which was also delicious.
Service was very attentive and the location and design of the spot is decent enough to make it cozy'ish"
On the bad side: place is new so service was a bit slow though there were only three tables being served. Food took a little too long to come out. One waitress was doing ALL the work... hosting, taking orders, serving, setting tables (a bit of help would have been nice).
Overall a good dining experience.

I have been to Solaro twice now. I really love the atmosphere and the owner is very lovely - it feels like you're at home when you're here. I came in on a whim tonight and asked for whatever he suggested. I had the pansotti Al sugo di noci (spinach and ricotta ravioli in a walnut sauce) and a glass of the fruscati - both were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back!

Awesome food at this brand new family owned Italian spot in the Village . Their roots are from Genoa Italy and they brought their love for food and family to the Village. They treat everyone who walks through the door just like their own family!
I was here last week and had a glass of wine and a little antipasti with Pablo one of the owners and it felt like I was having a conversation and eating with my uncle. So comfortable ! I Came with a friend to have a full dinner.
Had the grilled octopus which was cooked perfectly on a bed of chick pea puree w arugula and fried Panchetta. The crispiness of the Panchetta gave this dish extra flavor. The puree reminded me of my visits to Italy where they use fava bean puree with their seafood. I never had Panchetta w octopus and it gave it a good layering and crunch.
The butternut squash ravioli w black truffle butter was ridiculously good! I can still taste it!!; the pasta is made in their kitchen. Thus dish was really filling and can be shared
The branzino was perfect and delicious! Simple ingredients to bring out the natural flavor: Thyme and olive oil on a bed of tomatoes and sauteed onions. Portion was right for one person
For dessert, I had to have the tiramisu. I took some tiramisu for my friends and they gulped it down!
My friend had the gnocchi which was made like cacio e pepe and she had the lemon meringue cake which she loved!
The food is on point and the owners are warm and friendly. It's a brand new spot which is going to be doing really well. They own another spot in meatpacking and they have been in the industry
for a while. They know what they are doing!
They have special for $45 you get one app, a pasta dish, a main course and dessert! That's pretty good deal.
Their liquor license will.be there soon but you can bring your own wine. There are two wine shops just a few doors down. One on Carmine St and one on 6th Avenue.
DEFINITELY recommend this spot!

What an amazing experience. SOLARO!!!!!. Was a discovery for me. Not a big menu and I love that, few but rich and quality products, that is the perfection. Giovanni the owner, suggested me the Branzino and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Very good pair, my daughter his delicous burger. We will defently come back.
