Beautiful views, beautiful rooms. Recently updated and upgraded but still priced reasonably.

The motel is clean, cozy, and centered. If you are on a car trip or a motorcycle trip visit in New Jersey, New York, PA. !!

A very clean, well cared for property with a helpful and attentive staff. Met with the property owner who was personally tending to the gardening and happy to engage in conversation. If you stay here, you are likely to be welcomed by a friendly Black Lab by the name of Bailey who routinely makes her rounds to check on the guests. This is a family friendly motel I'm pleased to recommend. As constructive feedback, it would be a perfect Yelp rating given updated bathroom hardware and decor (shower stall, sink etc...). Great views too...

My sister and i went to a music festival close by in the woods to see my son play. We decided to leave early because of the conditions, it was muddy and we couldn't sleep. We came across this motel at 12am, i went to the front desk. I profusely thanked the elderly man and told him how grateful i was he had a room to sleep in after the terrible conditions we endured all weekend. He then started asking me how god would view my sins. I didn't pay too much attention to it, i wasn't sure how to respond. He then started getting aggressive and yelling at me what god would think about me mocking his son Jesus. I asked him what god would think about him judging strangers looking for a warm bed so harshly. He then slapped his hand down on my wrist i was writing with and started pulling. I dropped the pen and he picked it up, help it like a dagger and started coming around the desk at me. I ran out the door and pleaded with people sitting in front of their door to walk me to my car because i was terrified. I filed a police report once i arrived home. 10/10 do not recommend

Stayed in an upper room as I was in town for an event. VERY friendly Family owned business, Motel was modern and quiet.

Rooms were VERY clean, care has obviously been put into the upkeep of the rooms.
Check in /check out was friendly and painless.

Pricing was EXTREMELY competitive for the area, less than half the price of the competition, and worth every single penny.

This is a gem of a motel! The rooms are always spacious and clean and the owners are incredibly helpful and kind. You can walk around the beautiful grounds and it's right outside of town. Every time I'm in Hancock this is the only place I'll stay!

Terrific find. Very pleased with room and Very Very clean. You can tell the owner takes pride in this motel. They were very helpful and friendly. I had a late check in and they were accommodating. I would recommend and stay here again next time.

This motel does NOT honor your reservation. We made reservations in January 2011 for JULY 2011. In Feb. we were asked if we wouldn't mind moving to a smaller room. Today (MAY) we were told that they have given our room to someone else who is a "REGULAR". Anyone needing a place for visiting days at French Woods, their word means NOTHING. They haven't got a computer. Now we have no place for visiting days. And apparently there is nothing we can do about it.
