Clean, Fast service, talented hairstylist,

I am so happy with Smart Style in Rockport. I went there about a week ago with a friend who had her hair done and was so impressed I went back yesterday. I had my hair done by Clarissa. I had high lights a low lights done with a cut. It turned out better than I could hope for! The colors I showed her from the pics on my phone were exact. I had a great time while getting my services. Not once did I feel rushed. Clarissa does a great job and really cares about the work she's doing.
I watched the other stylist and all the cuts she gave turned out great too! (I believe her name was Terri, but I'm so sorry if I'm wrong.)

Thank you soooo much Clarissa for the awesome hair style! I will definitely be coming back on the regular. Regis salon is lucky to have you as an employee.

--There were two stylist working that shift and let me just say that these girls work hard!
This is a walk in based salon so if you happen to walk in on the busiest part of the day you may have to wait. So please be patient and don't get upset with them about wait times. It's a first come first serve basis. They provide excellent service and are happy to help you with any questions you have.

Please also note that if you're going to get your hair cut it's so much easier if you know ahead of time a general idea of what cut you want. Maybe bring in some pics on your phone. That way there is no communication issues of what you want done to your hair. Then every ones happy. Simply what one person describes as "some hair falling in my face" maybe be completely different in the eyes of another person.

I was warned me about getting my hair cut in a Wal-Mart hair salon. I didn't listen to him because all I saw was the great price - that is, $14.95. It was supposed to include the shampoo and conditioner, cut, dry and style. The stylist then told me that conditioner would be extra, and I declined. She asked me again if I wanted conditioner, and I said no. As I tried to explain the cut I wanted, layers with the front short enough that I'd have some hair fall into my face (like bangs), I was given a look like I was stupid and told she had no idea what I was talking about. --- What!? -- I was then given a book of severely outdated, ugly hairstyles to choose from. My stylist left to go tend to something else (I believe she may have been the manager?) and I finally selected a style somewhat close to what I wanted. While my hair was being cut, she spent the entire time trying to sell me expensive salon products, telling me I needed this and that, then got impatient when I did not agree to purchase anything. Periodically, she'd stop to chat with her family who kept dropping in, making my cut take three times longer than the other stylist who was in the shop, and had already been through three people by the time mine finished with me. The cut wasn't like in the book, but it wasn't terrible either. It was just 'meh'. My friend looked at me and said, "Um, what exactly did she do?" - she did that little to my hair. Also, she did not blow dry it, so I left with a wet head. It wasn't until after I got into the car that I finally was able to see what she DID do, which was very bland and looked unfinished. As I paid with my credit card and went to sign the receipt, she MADE me fill out the tip slot which I know is not required. It was as if she were trying to guilt me into tipping her! The NERVE! Suffice to say, I didn't tip. Sorry, but treat your customers like that and you don't deserve one, lady. I will never be getting my hair cut here again. I'll pay more at a real salon.
