Carlos and his assistant just left.  I had a noon - 2 pm slot and they arrived exactly at noon.
They cleaned all the windows on the outside.  I have a two story house on a hill and they needed special ladders to reach the top floor.  
They were very easy to work with, pleasant, polite, fast, efficient, meticulous and did an excellent job.  
My house has a full, unobstructed view of Mt Tam so I very much appreciate clean windows.  After Carlos and his assistant were done, the windows are so clean, it is as if I dont have windows!  
On top of that, their price is very reasonable.  
I highly recommend Carlos and his assistant of Smart Window Cleaning of Novato.

BUYER BEWARE: Non-professional crew--despite all assurances from the office-2 guys showed up a half hour late, the "manager" showed up 1  1/2 hour late from appointed time. Did not have adequate supplies (no towels: dripping water on paint trim & floors), dirty booties all over my light carpeting. When the manager (Carlos) finally showed up he was skirmish & argumentative (plus blocked neighbor's driveway). Obviously this company has no control over their crews. Thoroughly aggravating and a complete waste of my time.

If I could give a zero I would.  Total lack of professionalism.  The guy that came out was rude and borderline scary.  I was given a quote of $260-$285.  Half way through once the interior was done the cleaner came to me and said half the job is done and it took him X amount of time,  so inorder to finish the price is now $390.  So their quote means absolutely nothing.  The work was completed not the best job I have ever seen.  Two screens were ripped which I noticed later  - the guy never bothered to tell me.  But when I heard him cussing all the swear words while rinsing the screens out on my deck - I should have known something was up.

Called the office to voice concern/complaint never got a call back - assume this must be routine for them.

Do not recommend these people at all.  The worst.  I have told all my neighbors so I doubt they will be welcomed back to this neighborhood.

Smart Window Cleaning came yesterday. My windows look great, and the person who did the windows was professional, steady, and very nice to have around. I've lived here a long time and have had different people wash the windows. I have a pretty good idea how long it takes, and this job came in right on the mark--fast enough that I could have a few things done that I sometimes skip (like the interior glass doors, which I can do myself). Not cheap, not more expensive than I expect. I expect expensive--this work involves being on ladders. But the places that charge by the pane rather than by the hour would be impossible for me, as my house is all French windows and doors. And, what a joy today to be looking out through clear glass!

I will use Smart Window Cleaning again, and hope for the same person to come here.

Probably won't use them again.  They worked very quickly and did just the minimum, and I had to ask them to redo a couple of spots.  Also expensive.

While Theo was very pleasant, the job he did was sub-par. Windows had some streaks and screens had dust and fuzz left on them. The bottom of the window sills were left uncleared entirely, something previous window cleaners have always taken care of.  The quote was for $330 but I was charged $390 because cutouts took more time than expected. It caused Theo to have to rush through the job, too. I'd rather pay more to get the job done thoroughly and done right.

Eric and Theo arrived promptly and were very professional. My windows look great, beautifully clear. They were finished inside of an hour (condo); love their work ethic and customer service!

Not too impressed with these guys. I have had my windows done before from other companies and it was cheaper and they did a better job. Smart windows charges by the hour not by the window or job. That would be ok if the workers didn't move so S-L-O-W and  It was pretty obvious these guys wanted the job to take as long as possible. they missed a couple of windows and tracks.
They also left a couple of large water puddles

I hire them every year to clean my windows and they do an excellent job.
They're on time, clean my screens, windowsills and the windows and leave the work area spotless.  I can't recommend them enough!  Great company, great job.  You don't find this too much anymore.

Just ok. The job was adequate but it lacked the meticulous attention to detail that would have been nice. The owner said that they would come back to fix the deficiencies, but I did it myself.

I was shocked at how my wonderful my windows looked after these pros were done cleaning them! They came in at a great price and did a great job. The guys were professional and polite. I'll continue using them for gutter work and annual,window washing.

I asked to speak to an employee there because a friend had referred me to him and the person who answered was super rude . i wanted to leave a message and he said "just call back " and hung up . I called back and he hung up. i will not be doing business with them EVER. customer service comes a long way and that guy just blew it for them . bad bad bad customer service and no phone etiquette. do not do business HERE!!

Very expensive. Twice the price of my regular service. Then added $25 because they were 'new' windows. Stay away. Unless window cleaning is worth $100 an hour to you.

Very disappointing. There are better companies than this one to do your window cleaning. Talked too much about what they will not do, can't do, don't have time to do...Why bother being in business?

Never having hired a window cleaner before, I did what people often do:  I asked my neighbor . . . who happened to use Smart Window Cleaning for several years and was satisfied.  I contacted several other neighbors who I knew also wanted their windows washed and coordinated to have all five townhouses done in one day.  EVERYONE was really satisfied with the price they paid and the work that was done.  The windows sparkled and the two guys they sent could not have been more efficient or pleasant.  We all give them a big thumbs up!
NOTE:  One unit only needed a fraction of the windows cleaned compared to the other four units.  So, they only paid a fraction of the price.  I'm saying this because I understand it's very hard to get a company to come out and do a small job for a reasonable fee.  By attaching this unit to the larger group, it allowed the owners to get a great job done for an even more economical price!

I have a very difficult property with steep slopes, multiple stories and 30' high windows. I was certain the horribly neglected windows would require scaffolding to clean. Smart Window Cleaning sent out Art who performed magic with only his ladders, skill and ingenuity. He was extremely pleasant to be around, cleaned surfaces I hadn't expected him to, and made glass sparkle that I thought never could. I'm already looking forward to having this company back in 6 months.

We arranged for Smart to wash our windows, screens, and gutters. When the technicians arrived, we also asked them to clean the skylights.  They said no problem, they would take care of them.  

The servicemen were friendly, but were not careful replacing objects back after moving them.  We also noticed water drips on the hardwood floors.

After the technicians left, we noticed large and small water stains on a wooden chest located under our living room skylight.  These water stains were NOT there prior to Smart's visit. A Smart representative arrived late to assess the damage the following day, and denied any responsibility, claiming there was no way this could be their fault.  

We later called to follow up, and were told that Smart hadn't cleaned our skylights during that appointment, and had told us we needed to make a separate appointment for that purpose -- which was completely untrue.  After several minutes, the man admitted he had confused us with another customer and that that they had indeed cleaned our skylights. He suggested that our skylight had a leak (which it does not).

Smart's lack of professionalism, defensiveness, deflection, and unwillingness to assume responsibility and work toward resolution are not smart.  

We would never use them again.

Cannot say enough about how pleased we are with today's window cleaning job by Corey. Quiet, efficient, no mess, inside and out, six sky lights all beautifully washed and dried. I told my wife that we'll use them again next year and she came back, "..well, maybe twice a year"
Very very pleased, price was exactly right.

I hired Smart Window Cleaning through ThumbTack. In my email to them, I asked if they would clean all the screens. They said YES.  However, they forgot to clean 5 out of 18 window screens. Since their price was average, I would recommend that you choose another window cleaner.
