The best. Always! We were running late and they easily accommodated us. I have used them several times and have never been disappointed.

I booked a SIXT rental out of Washington Reagan DC airport USA and opted out of toll pass offered because I KNEW I would only be using MD Bay Bridge $4 toll on way to Delaware shores. $4 toll plus $5 admin fee - $9 total versus daily charge for much, much more if I had chosen the daily pass.
Well, imagine my surprise when reviewing my credit card bill a month later and they had charged my card $333 for tolls out of NEW YORK when I was never even in New York.
Imagine my even larger surprise when I called to let them know it was an error and to please check their data/photo proof and get back to me with refund confirmation of the extra 322$ I was charged.
The surprise continues when I get four people on the line after waiting an hour each time for an operator, getting hung up on, being moved to tolls/fines department and waiting additional half hour or hung up on in switch up.
Also addressed issue by email and the responses were even better when they told me I had to contact New York myself with NO transaction numbers on the bill just a date and time and a tag number - and I wasn't in New York and it is not my tag or car. I asked for proof of the tag/car going through new york on the stated dates and times and they said they can't do that, it is an interface that SIXT has with all the toll agencies that feeds to them and they charge based on that with NO PROOF given to them at all. Well, my response is that I am telling the truth because on one of the days I am in Maryland crossing the bridge and by divine intervention four minutes later I am apparently in New York on the Henry Hudson bridge according to the bill. I tell them this is apparently a systemic issue and if they don't fix, will lose customers over it - especially given the policy on how to "fix it" - to throw it on the customer to figure out why and not even sure that is possible without a transaction number?
*****SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND THE AGGRAVATION - CHOOSE ANOTHER RENTAL CAR COMPANY THAT FOCUSES ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ACCURATE DATA. IT WILL SURELY SAVE YOU THE STRESS AND TIME THAT I WASTED YESTERDAY OF ABOUT 4 HOURS ARGUING WITH PEOPLE THAT DON'T CARE THEIR SYSTEM IS FLAWED*****

4 minutes apart I am in NY and Maryland
37 tolls that weren't mine with a $5 fee for each. If I was traveling like that in NY I would have gotten my EZ pass out of storage!

AVOID! This company has a well-earned horrible reputation for bait & switch, fabricated/inflated damage claims, and stongarm tactics to extract money from consumers. Do not believe the manufactured 4+ star reviews on websites controlled by the company. Online search will show thousands of consumer complaints and multiple class action lawsuits against this sleazy company.

In my case, when arrived to pick up the Toyota Camry I had reserved I was informed that it was not available and was forced to switch to a Nissan Altima instead. When I arrived at my destination on my first day, I discovered that the front passenger side bumper panel was sagging as a result of two small plastic clips breaking. Although there was no accident/incident, I presumed that the clips broke on a long stretch of VT Rt. 30 that was being resurfaced and had many potholes. I photographed the damage and reported it upon returning the car.

6 months later, I received a bill for $3,426(!) and a report that indicated that the car had been involved in a "crash. I refuted the claim and sent a detailed letter along with photos demonstrating how the terms of the rental agreement did not place liability on me. Sixt rejected my letter and has been dogged and bullying it its efforts to get my insurance company's information. I have come to conclude that Sixt is essentially working an insurance scam which is likely results in higher premiums for all drivers. I have reported Sixt's behavior the Massachusetts Attorney General's office and encourage other consumers to take similar action to push back against this predatory behavior.

Avoid them at all cost. They lie to you they do not try to assist you their customer service is beyond poor.
To make a long story short they wrongfully charged me $354 for damage they claim I did during my rental, after me contacting them they conducted their own research and found that I was not liable for the damage however the money they charged me $354 was not given back to me. I've been waiting over 4 months and every time I call I get the same runaround absolutely unprofessional ridiculous stay away from this company.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING SIXT RENTAL CAR COMPANY. The Ft Lauderdale branch assesses fradualent fees after the return of the vehicle and no one in the company takes action to resolve the matter. After reading other reviews Sixt knowingly commits fraud in the form of charging unwarranted "special cleaning" fees in the amount of $400. I did have a previously seemless experience with Sixt in the San Diego area but my most recent experience with the Ft Lauderdale branch ended with me charged $400 more than what was stated on my turn-in receipt.

Gotta give them five - the car we got broke down half way through our week. But within 1.5 hours they had found us with a new car on a tow truck and took the old one away. Great service rep in Manila who stayed w us through it all. Could have been awful but they really delivered in a time of need. And the price was right! Wish they said in advance that BMW always costs extra but we had a lousy Mazda and a great GMC for great prices.

1 STAR IS A GENEROUS RATING! This company may seem like they rent beautiful cars at great deals, but have no fear, THEY WILL GET THEIR MONEY. We booked an SUV advertised as seating 6 and having room for 4 suitcases, but were told at the desk that actually it can only handle that number of bags if the back seats are folded down. As such, we were charged hundreds in an upgrade fee for a large SUV (a Yukon XL). Next, a man in a hut handed us a key, told us where the car was located and that we were good to go. The rental itself was uneventful and we thought we would simply return the vehicle (rented in Fort Lauderdale and returned in Tampa) and receive our security deposit back, but wait, SIXT wasn't done collecting from us. The worker at the airport looked over our car, TOLD US WE WERE ALL SET, and that we would get our deposit back in a few days. However, a few days later, we received a notice that the SUV had mysteriously developed a scratch on the windshield and that we would be responsible for repairs. I appealed it and of course, was denied, and we have now received AN ADDITIONAL BILL FOR 1183, YES 1183, DOLLARS with two weeks to pay. We were on a family vacation to Florida with our toddler, not a bunch of horseplaying teens, and we certainly would have noticed a large windshield scratch considering that we traversed the state in that vehicle. This company has no recourse for such a nonsensical situation, zero customer service and is no doubt led by money hungry scoundrels giving the directive to line their own pockets at every turn. Do yourselves a favor and do not rent from this company, but if you do choose to do so for some reason, TAKE PHOTOS AND A VIDEO WALKTHROUGH OF THE VEHICLE (INSIDE AND OUT) ON RETURN TO ASSURE THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO YOU!

The 1183 dollars worth of supposed damage that we committed

To echo everyone else, Absolutely terrible service. I have been using a corporate subscription account for the last 5 months and have also referred two of my friends as well to the program. A few days ago I went into the branch to swap out the X3 i had since there was an issue with the seatbelt after being told tp do so by someone in Customer service. A guy walked over to me and told me they would be charging me a $400 cleaning fee! The car was dirty, I won't deny, but based on the circumstances here I didn't think it had to be cleaned. If I would have known, I would have cleaned it myself for a quarter of the cost they charged me. I have been calling and emailing support to complain and NO ONE returns any calls or emails. Is that how to treat a customer who has spent thousands of dollers so far this year on the rental as well as referring people over to the program! It's quite mind-blowing how a company can lack such basic business etiquette. I will be surely escalating this all the way up to corporate but figured I'd let others know of the experience I had.

This company deserves no star, but inorder to start the review I had to click one star to start. I rented at the Fort Lauderdale Florida location, they did the paper work handed me the keys and said goodbye not showing or instructing me about the car. I pulled out of their driveway and about two hours later and some forty miles the car had catostrophic break-failer while I was on the Elorida Turnpike; the car was not stopping. I'm was fortunate that I did not get into an accident or killed. I managed to get off the turnpike using the lower gears and emergency brake to finally stop. I called customer emergency service and got put on hold for 50 minutes finally they took my call and told me to stay still. Waited 2 1/2 hours when they finally arrived to tow the car.
A week or so later they send me a $500 towing bill claiming I was reponsible for towing since I did not take their towing insurance that I did not know existed nor did I initial to decline the insurance.
It has been two months that I have been emailing with them about the claim and they refuse to take resposibility for the towing. Their attitude is that once your rear wheels leave their lot you are on your own even if the car breaks down a foot away. The bottom line is they rented me a vehicle that put my life in danger and I got no benicial use of after a few miles and a couple of hours; now they want to stick me with an outrageous $500 towing charge. They also tried to charge me an additional "drop off fee" since the vehicle was towed to a diffent location then where I rented it from.
This is something that I will be sending to my local news station WSVN Channel 7 for the Help Me Howard segment. What this company needs is bad-press to expose their deceptive corrupt operations.
NEVER, NEVER, EVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY OR ANYONE AND PUT IT ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA. EVEN TELL YOUR ENEMIES NOT TO RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.
