Went here for dinner with some friends that live in the neighborhood and the food and service were fantastic! The bartender was attentive even though she was busy and the ambience has improved greatly since the last time I was here a year ago. Recommend this for some delicious bar food and well made cocktails. The chicken wrap was really good and their homemade potato chips are a must have.

They used to be where I came for breakfast because they were close. The old cook moved to Florida and now they have a new one and the election isn't there, prices went up and quantity of food per dish has diminished. Guess we won't be going back until this gets fixed or never agian..

Ok... on a hot day, this neighborhood dive offered a cool refuge, $2.75 screwdrivers and $3 burger and fries (happy hour 3pm ,,,). PLUS - there were 9 credits on the juke box which I happily used. Friendly folk, smoking patio and it's spitting distance from my house... What's not to like?
Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Oct 13, 2013Previous reviewI've lived a half mile from this place for like 4 years. I finally tried this place. I'd had my suspicions about it being a litte rough. And a black friend of mine told me they were none-too friendly to him - but that doesn't necesarily mean it was a race thing. I had also heard the ownership changed. And I often see and have conversed with Olya, who is either a bartender or manager there or something. She seems super cool.
It was a Monday night, flew in from the east coast a couple hours before, and burgers sounded good. We asked about the game day special, the bartender wasn't very familiar, which seemed odd. She was also reluctant to come and take drink orders at the table. Mostly we had to go to the bar. Drinks were fairly strong.
The place started to feel a bit crowded, but there's whole areas with nothing. The tables are set up really oddly. And people just come along ad change them to accomodate their pool games. It feels like they really cater to their regulars and pool crowd, so while I didn't feel unwelcome, I didn't feel welcome either. The outdoor patio is big, and may or may not have heaters - but it's unattractive and they had left the giant ladder out which seemed rather unwise.
We got the burger special (6.95 burger, fries or tots and a pbr). And also the pulled pork sandwhich with fries and slaw. The burger was pretty good - ya know, bar food but decent. fries and tots were cooked in clean oil and were tasty. The cole slaw was good but a tiny portion. And the pulled pork was also rather passable but served with no sauce on the sandwhich itself.
I'm happy to report that indeed a black person came into the bar to cheer on his team and seemed rather comfortable therein and as though he was a regular - even though he was a tad loud for me... It's so close, and the food is ok - bordering on good. but I wish they'd try harder still to class it up a tad... - Jena A.Portland, OR2926May 28, 2014
Went in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and I have to say that it was a nice visit. Me and my husband ordered breakfast burritos and they were very good. There was not a huge crowd so the ambiance was pretty quite. We liked that the bar had nice looking sofas set up. They have cocktail specials everyday and the happy hour looked pretty good also they mentioned to us that they have homemade desserts which sounds amazing! We will definitely be back. O and I almost forgot to mention the great staff an older gentleman in the back that literally does not stop and the bartender (Rachel?) who was very nice to us.

I went in to Six Point Inn on 2/19/2014 around 9:45 pm, the bar was not busy at all. I sat at the bar and waited for the bartender to serve me. She (large blond person) walked right passed me 3 times without even acknowledging my presence and I know that she saw me. I was a bartender for over 20 years, I'm not the kind of ex-bartender that is super critical to every bartender that I encounter. In fact I am the opposite, I tend to give them a lot of leeway because I have been in their shoes. That being said, she is a horrible bartender. In the past I have gone in there and she has been less then enthusiastic but I brushed it off. Last night though after being ignored for over 5 minutes (not even eye contact or a simple "Ill be right with ya") I plain walked out and I won't be back.

We were hesitant to try this place out. We live very close and know the neighborhood isn't the greatest. But what a breath of fresh air! We were pleasantly surprised. Great employees, good drinks and always a good crowd the handful of times we've been.

We were looking for a friendly, neighborhood bar with a restaurant in NOPO, we went to a few and the owners or workers were acting like we were bothering them, so we went in to the 6 point....first impression...very nice place...we were pleased. Sonny(the new owner was working she is a really cool ladie...had afew drinks, so we were hungry....met Sal the chief...WOW the food he and his wife Laura serve is great, we have eaten there several times every week since....i like it cause a ladie can go in there and not get mobed...Sonny has made many changes and the place is better every time we go in. All the bar tenders are very friendly...they have many big screen TV's, also poker machines, an outside smoking area......try it out Good drinks and very good food

I drive by this location weekly but had never stopped at this shady looking location. Recently the new owner started putting up signs and painted the place to look more inviting so I stopped to check it out.
Inside it is the typical dive bar with a couple different large areas of seating all within view of large screen TV's for watching the latest sports games.
The new owner runs a tight ship as she is trying to clean up the clientele a bit also. More than once she reminded someone that no sagging pants were allowed. I had to check to make sure my pants were not sagging as I think she means what she says. It is great to see this place cleaned up and starting to get busy.
The new cook has a pretty typical dive bar menu including breakfast items. I have to say the the food we had was pretty average greasy fare and nothing special.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Jerry I would like to thank you for stopping in and apologize if we dropped the ball with your food order.
Aside from the usual "greasy" choices we do offer salads, hot sandwiches and daily specials of home made favorites ( such as chicken and dumplings, clam chowder, meatloaf, biscuits and gravy, etc.) I do hope you give us another try in the future :-)
Please don't hesitate to message me with any suggestions. Have a great day!

This place is awesome! Great drink specials and $2 Hamms every day. Everyone who works here including the owner is SUPER friendly. Me and my wife frequent this little bar and it is great. Ask Sal to whip you up something in the kitchen; everything I've had is excellent. Don't miss $2.75 whiskey and cokes on thursdays and chowder on Friday.

I am absolutely obsessed with this little bar! Bar food in general is better after a few drinks but this places food is friggin AMAZING, sober and all! from the breakfast menu to lunch to dinner everything I have tried so far is a hit! You can tell its homemade goodness. The biscuits and gravy is my favorite for breakfast, for lunch I get the train wreck burger and for dinner i would get a meatball sub, or a salad. Everything is fantastic!!!!! If you go here for food and drinks you definitely wouldn't be disappointed.
