I have been a fan of this place for years, the shrimp and grits are awesome and filling. The bam shrimp are on point. Awkward not being able to throw your trash away when your done, equally odd to go so far as to tape the trash door closed. Oh well, I was more interested in the food. For a fast food environment, life slows down a bit to enjoy things here.

Drive thru was packed so hubby went inside. Walked straight up to the counter. We got the 30 shrimp w 2 sides special. Cheese grits and fries were our sides.
The grits could have been cheesier and needed salt and pepper. Cole slaw beats it! We always like the fries and hush puppies.
The shrimp were piping hot and crispy as usual. I love the tartar sauce but their cocktail sauce is good too even though they are not made in house.
We usually get 3 meals out of one order. Dinner for us and lunch for husband tomorrow. The fries reheat well.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Apr 12, 2023Previous reviewTuesdays they have a 30 piece shrimp deal. Comes with 2 sides. The shrimp are super fresh and crispy. The coke slaw is just like I like it - lots of flavor and sweet. The fries are perfect and reheat well in air fryer as the portion is huge. I love their hush puppies. Moist and flavorful. I know the tartar sauce is not made in house but I really like it. One deal serves both my husband and I. Drive through is fast and friendly. The restaurant is small and packed on Tuesday so plan on take out or come off hours. No pics today because we were too hungry. Next Tuesday.

You have to admire a restaurant that does one thing really well, in this case shrimp. The fried shrimp is fresh and cooked to perfection. They also have blackened and grilled. The seasoned fries were delicious. The cole slaw was their own recipe, a bit sweet, and very tasty. The hush puppies are large. As a bonus they have a 30 piece special on Tuesday and Thursday for $13.99.

Came here for lunch and ordered the white fish and shrimp combo which comes with two hush puppies and two sides. To say I was surprised at the amount of food was an understatement. I got four pieces of fish, 6 shrimp, the hush puppies, fries and green beans. Clearly everything is cooked to order as it took a bit of a wait for my order. However it was lunch time so that's to be expected.
While I was eating, staff were going around ensuring everyone had everything they needed. Tables were cleared and cleaned consistently. The restaurant also appeared very clean.
Suffice it to say, this is good value for the money. I brought home three pieces of fish, half the fries, half the green beans, two shrimp and one hush puppy. I'm so glad they're back open on Orange Park.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 8, 2023
We live on this side of town and would always drive past this place. One day, on a whim, we decided to try it! I can't judge on the atmosphere because we went through the drive through. The customer service was good and it took pretty quick to get our food. We got the following items:
Coconut shrimp: 8.5/10 - it came out hot, crispy, and juicy. The breading had flakes on coconut on it and it had such a delightful crunch! I don't know what sauce came with it (I'm guessing it's some type of sweet tartar sauce? Maybe pineapple sauce?) but it was so freaking good! We finished the coconut shrimp in like 10 minutes! You can tell the shrimp was super fresh as there was no bad aftertaste at all.
Firecracker shrimp platter: 7/10 - It was as pretty decent platter for the price. I think it was like around $13-14?? The best way to describe this shrimp's flavor is like sweet chili mixed in with spicy mayo. The shrimp was fried and coated with this thick, sweet, tangy, and sort of spicy sauce. They didn't skim on the sauce and every shrimp was coated. The flavor was good, but it didn't WOW me. The shrimp was a little on the soggy side, but not the restaurant's fault. We drove 20 minutes to get to home and it was sitting in the to-go container. The platter came with hushpuppies, and two sides. We chose fries and coleslaw. I did not care for the hushpuppies as it had this kind of weird, fishy aftertaste. The hushpuppies reminded me of a bad tasting falafel. Not sure what it was, but it definitely did not leave a good impression on my taste buds. The coleslaw was watered down and all I could taste was watery-mayo. We loved the fries though!!! The fries were crispy, hot, and flavorful! Overall, it's decent for the price. I might not get this again because it is a heavy dish.
We do want to come back and try other things on the menu! I do appreciate the freshness of the seafood and the friendly, quick service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nancy G.Canton, GA010Apr 9, 2024
Hubby and I walked into this restaurant, thinking that we would grab some shrimp to go, for a light dinner. Once inside, the smell was overwhelming. It smelled like a restroom. We just could not get past the smell, to even place an order. We walked out without even trying the food. Yuck. I'm not sure how this place is even staying in business.

I simply can't believe people would eat fast food when a place like this exists. Stopped for a quick lunch while running errands in the area and was pleasantly surprised. For $11, I received a flounder sandwich fully dressed, more fries than I could eat, AND a drink. Are you kidding me? I'll bet a Big Mac, large fry and drink is right in the same price range - and that's not even real food.
Friendly counter service, food brought to my table - quite expeditiously I may add - and everything was hot and fresh. The flounder spilled over the bun and was perfectly prepared. I opted for fried but they offer grilled and blackened as well. I mean, you are NOT getting those options at any fast food joints. Fries were fresh and have a lightly seasoned coating.
Just a solid experience all around. If you're in the area, definitely recommend. If you live around here, lucky you. If you don't, it's worth the trip.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 2 - Angel L.Jacksonville, FL01016Jan 22, 2024
Food is cook to order which is great! Service is good, and just remember everything is cooked to order so be prepared for a little wait. Nothing too long but just enough to know that your food will be hot and fresh! Ambiance is standard, they also did remodel a few years ago so the place is still pretty new and in good shape!

Our book club likes to pick different restaurants to meet monthly. My friends had spoke so highly of this restaurant and since it was my month to pick restaurant I picked here. I wasn't sure what to expect and I can say it was more then I expected! Tuesday is 30 fried shrimp, 2 sides for $12.99; the shrimp were fresh and large...I didn't order it but will next time. I ordered mahi on a salad snd the salad was large and fresh the mahi was about 5/6 oz and again-fresh. I couldn't finish the salad, a friend couldn't finish her shrimp so now I have another lunch or dinner. Another person ordered shrimp on grits; grits were very tasty $10.99. It's busy but they are quick. PS after I posted apparently I was there 5 or so years ago-it is nothing like it was before!

Service was friendly, I was deciding between shrimp and scallop comb or fish/shrimp; cashier said a popular item was basa fish/shrimp so i ordered it and a flounder sandwich to go. Both come with two sides so I got green beans and 3 coleslaw. There were 6 medium fried shrimp and a thin piece of fish, I ordered blackened. They were OK but nothing special. The flounder sandwich was a huge piece of fried fish; a much better choice I think. The green beans and slaw was good, too. A highlight of the place is they have draft beer for a $1 it says every day!

We visited for the first time since the remodel and we were very pleased. The menu had changed a bit; and although I was very disappointed the claims were no longer on the menu, what I had was delicious.
We ordered the family platter that came with shrimp, chicken, and fish, plus 4 sides. The shrimp were crunchy and tasty, and the fish was light and flaky. My husband and 2 boys enjoyed the chicken, which was moist.
The sides we had were green beans (still very good), the fries (fresh), coleslaw (good), and rice pilaf.
The service was friendly and helpful. The renovation are very nice. We will definitely be returning more frequently.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0
