Show Stopper Weave Shop

So today was my first time going. I had Courtney do my hair. I called ahead to check prices and was quoted 40. Got there close to closing. I was seated within a few minutes and was on my way in an hour. The price was exactly as quoted and the work was done like I asked. Courtney isn't talkative but she's not rude either. To me what made the experience nicer was that I got a call from the owner asking for an honest assessment. You don't get customer service like that anymore. I will go b back again because I didn't waste all day inside of some beauty salon I got what I wanted the price was great and the icing on the cake was an owner that actually cares thank you Courtney and thank you melody

this salon is very good professional service great price and quality works love going there and always satisfied I recommend Show stoppers hair salon to everyone they are great and courteous stylist who knows what they are doing. I always go there

I'm kinda late with this but honestly you get what you pay for with this place. A $40 sew in is just that a $40 sew in. Their not really welcoming in my option they weren't. Let me break it all down.

So the braided she was cool nice little young girl 16-19 at most she was quick too braids weren't really that tight but I don't really have braiding hair so it's understandable like who wants super tight braids anyway right. So she finished that and then I had to sit and wait on somebody to become available.

Now that someone is free the next girl starts the sew in and she's fast too. I like the way she sewed the hair in she did it so if I wanted to put the hair up I could without it looking crazy. It didn't hold long. Again it could of been my hair or it could of been them. She didn't do any baby hairs no styling or nothing just blended my hair and called it a day. I wouldn't recommend anyone here nor would I ever go back they didn't really put to much care in doing hair. They don't even talk to you

I come in to the shop to get a full sew in. All the stylist that do my hair do a great job. The owner is wonderful, helpful and I enjoy coming to her shop to get my hairdone. The shampoo and braider is wonderful and great too. If you want your hairdone then come here.

I love the service they provide to me. I am always there ahead of when they open so I am first or second. The braid down is great each of the 10 times I have been there. Circumstances made me leave in my last weave longer than usual but I washed it myself and sat under my own dryer and it held up for 10 weeks! I never let it go that long but the shit was on point. They know me and I tip well for their time. I will be there in the mor I g for a wig install with no qualms at all about the expertise.

I went to the Moreland Avenue location and I have never been so offended and appalled in all my life! After chatting with some of the ladies and another customer, I mentioned that I wanted to adopt an older child. The girl doing my hair literally started to yell and scream at me saying I was "stupid" for wanting to adopt a child. And that they would one day "rape and murder" me. The other stylist agreed adding her own ignorant observations of things neither of them know anything about. What kind of horrible people would say that to someone and why did they think it was their business to say anything at all about my personal life. I made a statement, I didn't ask for opinions. I was so pissed off I called her every name in the book, which she definitely deserved, then I stormed out. I take personal offense to anyone who would denigrate children, especially ones they don't even know. If the quality of the character of the people you do business with matters to you then I would suggest strongly that you avoid these awful people.

Absolute HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Try to support black working women at a business and they have completely disappointed. I will never ever return and you shouldn't even plan to walk in. I came in and was told there would be an hour wait. Already long wait however I had already taken down my hair and needed it done. So I thought I'd give them a chance to work. It was significantly past the hour of course and they were STILL unable to do a simple sewin In a reasonable time for anyone that wants to do hair independently or in a salon setting . At no point did any of the 4 women working mention how much longer it would be. They keep you thinking it will speed up and they can do your hair. No scheduling exist. They barely follow a client walk in list. So pissed at myself I was a freakin dummy to wait around over 3 HOURS FOR SERVICE. Ruined my entire day and night! Wish I would

I would not recommend to come here if you want a quick weave.
I been here since 9am asked for a quick weave signed in. Then was told I need to buy a cap. Went to buy the cap. The braider made her own sign in sheet and skipped over my name.
Then, as I sit in the stylist chair she asked what I was getting I replied quick weave and she asked why? I said cause that's what I want. The manager then comes and ask me why I want a quick weave and have I ever tried their sew-ins (which I have in the past and only 2 girls was good doing them) then she trying to convince me to get a sew in. I told them I like quick weave.
I asked for the hair protector to go on my hair the stylist Sade gonna tell me she doesn't have it and that I have to go to the beauty supply down the street to buy it. I asked her to ask another stylist if they had it.
This whole experience is beyond me and it currently noon (making 3 hours) since I been here and still my hair is not done. I hope my hair comes out nice at least.

If I could give 0 stars it still wouldn't be enough to describe how horrible this company is. I went to the Decatur shop at 8:57 AM, they were supposed to open at 9AM. I did not leave until 7PM and missed my baby shower!!! I had been coming in previous years since 2015 and never experienced service worst than this in my life ANYWHERE. I had to stand outside waiting for someone to come open the shop, nobody came until 9:30 something. Mind you it was already a line of us waiting. They only had 1 person doing everybody's hair (braid down and styling) and she was new to the shop. Customers sitting with me were calling the owner of the shop, she kept saying she would send someone from one of the other shops. Hours had gone by, nobody was sent to help until almost 2pm. None of the workers showed up and word to the lady that opened the shop, this had happened the day before as well (WHICH IS VERY TELLING ABOUT THE BUSINESS). I was next in line and the lady that came to help brought her daughter with her claiming that she was a braider. I was next up, so I sat in the chair to be serviced. Her daughter did not do my braid down properly so I had them to stop because it was almost an hour into braiding and my hair still was not done, the mom had to redo my braids, and instead of servicing me she continued and serviced 2 customers AFTER me on the list after I made her aware that my baby shower was that day!! She was literally trying to train her daughter on how to braid down in my head (A PAYING CUSTOMER). After having to go behind her daughter's work, she had me sit back down and wait. Everyone witnessed while I sat across from this lady explaining to people otp that I had not yet been serviced, was still sitting while she did people's hair that came after me, and was CRYING on the phone. Yet, she did not think to stop or care to. I did not get my hair done until 6pm and left the shop at 7. It was not worth the time or money I paid. She didn't even do my hair all the way through. I was not discounted for my inconvenience and she was very insensitive about the situation stating that my people would wait on me if they cared. Mind you my baby shower was AT A PARK... it's only so many hours of daylight! At 2:30 when she had her kid playing in my hair, she should have done it instead. I would not recommend this shop to anyone after that experience. The owner did not come to step in, I missed one of the most important days of my life, and it was horrible. That's not how you conduct business. I will be taking the hair down today because it was not worth my time or money.
