Small quaint looking spot. I walked in to only one other table of customers. The waitress/host, Tran was immediately there warmly telling me sit anywhere. Her service and suggestions were on point. The yellowtail lunch sushi, and chicken katsu with the white sauce hit the spot leaving me content with the world. I expected the prices to be higher so was surprised all around.

I have seen this business grow throughout the years and it has always been a favorite place for me to go back to. I can credit them for starting and growing my love for sushi. I have been able to explore so many new types of sushi and been happy with every choice. I had some of the best fried rice of my life here.
The staff has consistently always been great throughout the years. Have never had a complaint.
They have remodeled as well and it looks very nice! I will always recommend them whenever someone wants to grab some sushi.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 17, 2024
Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the portions and prices! We ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon, eel rolls and a salmon hibachi. The three of us were also each served miso soup and salad. My husband told me it reminded him of his time in Japan since it felt so traditional. You can definitely feel the owners care. Spicy tuna is my favorite and I've had better rolls at other places but would definitely return to this place due to the fact that they provide so much at fair costs. PS. They have happy hour rolls all day, what a win!

Initially Went here for AYCE but then switched it to just 4-5 Happy Hour Rolls. I am glad I went with HH option instead because the sushi was rather plain. Some of the rolls I ordered required a lot of soy sauce and spicy Mayo to make it pleasurable. Service was quick and the ambiance was nice and dark for a cute date. I would not say that the sushi was bad it just wouldn't appeal to any avid sushi connoisseur.

Honestly I dont think the ambiance is nice enough to make any awesome impressions on a first date but it's the definitely a great spot to frequent when you're craving a couple rolls of sushi and good conversation. Also I dont know where they got the people that make the sushi, but there is not order too big that they can't handle food comes back almost as quick as you can order it.

Not the best sushi I've ever had. Too much rice and too little protein.
Very small restaurant with little space.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 330153977Jul 30, 2023
I work nearby and frequently order take out from Shiso sushi. My order is always correct and the food is always good.
I've ordered everything from teriyaki chicken to sashimi to regular sushi rolls, miso soup, seaweed salad, and even some spring rolls.
it's hard to not order their food every time I'm over in that area for work!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 25, 2023
We went and ran into happy hour. They have a list of sushi with four rolls for under five dollars. The sushi was great and they were pretty busy. The restaurant seating layout is a little crammed. They have a lot of sake options cold and hot for sake lovers. As well as Japanese beers. It's great for happy hour or if you're craving sushi. The fried egg rolls are really good too as a starter.

Shisho Sushi has been one of our faves for years!
The food is super yummy, and is always made fresh. Not only are their prices are also on point, but they also provide generous portions.
Did I mention they also offer sushi? They have daily sushi deals if you dine-in, and even have an all you eats options.
Their Lo Mein noddles is one of my fave dishes to order! I like to pair their noods with chicken & shrimp. Getting their yummy sauce is a MUST, literally goes with everything & it's just amazing!
We highly recommend if you have not tried it already, you won't regret it!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 2023
I came by because my yoga studio was next door to the restaurant. The yoga teacher recommended it since she's been a few times and raved that the sushi was really good.
I tried it and I can agree. I ordered the Krab Ragoons, Shrimp tempura roll and a Yummy roll, both equally delicious. The white sauce that came with the krab ragoons was creamy, soft, warm, and a hint sweet. Really added an extra layer of juiciness to the crunchy ragoons.
Really enjoyed the meal, so much so that it's a few days later and I'm back for another round!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - R B.Waipahu, HI055Feb 12, 2024
Super friendly staff and great local feel. Quality ingredients and actual seasoned rice on their nigiri. Generous cuts on the sashimi and AYCE sushi option available.

If one could rate a zero this place would truly earn it. Fortunately for Shiso Sushi I have earnestly been trying to only say good things and when I have nothing good to say, to say nothing at all.
