My wife and I LOVE Shell World!
The store has a huge variety of sea shells and home decor items along with the beach souvenirs that all tourists are looking for.
The owner is a super friendly lady who on several occasions has guided us through her store helping us to find the items we were searching for.
The prices are reasonable, too!

My all time favorite shell shop. So many shells to choose from at great prices! Love stopping by and seeing all the new shells.

I was hoping for a huge selection of sweatshirts and tees, but theirs is limited. My son found a sweatshirt he liked quite a lot, but it had a hole in it. We could not find another one similar in the store, so we ended up going next door to Pacific Beachwear. They have a much more extensive collection of apparel and towels, though much less in the way of shells. An employee informed me both stores are owned by the same people.

My daughter found a mug she liked here, and some inexpensive jewelry. They also sell home decor, but the prices didn't impress me. We spent $120 next store, and only about $19 here.

Outstanding variety of shells to choose from and I was excited to stop here and pick up new shells for my hermit crabs. I liked that they offered a lot of things for hermit crabs (including Cholla wood), but the items were on the pricier side. It was still cheaper for me to buy my things here than to buy online and pay shipping.

If I'm ever in Myrtle Beach again, I'll stop in again for more shells!

5 stars for being the largest selections of seashells in Myrtle Beach and I'd give them another if possible for having them laid out in such a convenient way. The shell prices are reasonable but expect other touristy things to be touristy prices.

Hermit Crabs: just don't. Unless you know what you're doing it won't make it home and if it does then it won't last long. If you do know what you're doing then this isn't where you buy new specimens. Just don't. Crabs are food, not friends.

Nice place, fun to look around at all the different types of shells. Great place to buy something for your children with out spending a ton. The lady working the front was so very sweet.

This is my favorite go to store for seashells. Shell World has a huge quantity and variety of shells to offer. Their prices are excellent.
I make gifts and decor items using an assortment of different shells. I also teach classes using shells. I go to Shell World at least once a month. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. I never feel uncomfortable asking questions. I truly appreciate that this store is in my neighborhood. I love to bring friends and out of town guests to view all the amazing seashells. I highly recommend Shell World.

This is the only souvenir store that I actually enjoy. Lots of beautiful shells from all over the world, plus unique gifts, t-shirts, and beach-themed items.

Love love Love! I have 11 hermit crabs and sometimes it's hard to find proper shells for them at a decent price. Staff was nice and VERY friendly. I'd like to see there crabs in a more suitable enclosure but they are taken better care of than most.

Better make sure you want it when you buy it. Daughter paid for something and literally went right back in to get a refund and they refused. Guess that's their way of keeping your money one way or the other and no she didn't see the little no refund sign.
