Sheetz

I stop to get my 4 year old a donut occasionally. It's hard to me to get around some days, so I always use the drive thru. I used to work at sheetz, I wouldn't find it to be an issue, it never has been for the year that I've been doing it.

Well, a few days ago I was asking the drive thru person a question. The store manager was behind her down the hall staring the whole time.

The next time a few days later, different person, I was told they aren't supposed to get store items at the drivethru line. If I wanted them I had to come in, in the future. I explained I was disabled and they said "that's what our store manager is having us tell customers now"

Ummm... he's already had an issue with me when I needed a receipt at the pump and called for help because I wasn't going into the store and it wasn't my fault he didn't fill his printer paper at the pumps. I wasn't dragging four kids into a busy store that day while I'm on crutches.

Everyone else is nice, but that store manager is not cool at all, such a jerk.

As far as convenience stops go, this is the Cadillac of them all... the kids rave about Sheetz and I can see why. Hot food cooked to order, wide selection of self serve coffee. Every drink that you could imagine in the cold case and even machines that make soft serve with toppings put in like a blizzard.
I was happy with a liter of Fiji water but enjoyed imagining the possibilities and looking at the chips and snacks. Incredibly friendly service, immaculate. Gas and restrooms, beer room.

The people at this Sheetz are amazing. My family and I were coming home from Penn State one evening when my truck broke down. We called AAA and my son to drive two hours to pick us up. Fortunately, we pulled into this Sheetz as the truck was dying. They were beyond kind and helpful. It was a hot, uncomfortable day, and they let us sit at a table in their dining room even after it had closed. They would make special arrangements to clean and sanitize our table after the tow truck and our ride home arrived. They even offered us a free beverage, but we declined. Such nice people willing to go out of their way to help others.

We've always loved Sheetz, but this one has a special place in our heart.
