Shake Bars & Event Planning

We used Shake Bartending for our Wedding Reception-esque casual party for 65 at a Seattle Parks-owned venue, and everything was great! Tara got back to my initial request promptly, and worked with me to figure out the best options for my party, between regular prepaid service, and "pay per consumption". They also worked with me in picking ou the best beer & wine selection to represent the PNW to all my out-of-town guests, and put up with my picky beer-snob considerations. They even took care of the Event Insurance for me!

At the event, we had Dan the bartender, and he was amazing! He was super friendly, courteous, and professional. Took great care of everyone, drinker & abstainer alike, and just generally kicked ass!

I'd strongly recommend Dan in particular, and Shake Bartending to anyone looking to throw a fun party.

I am a caterer and hired Shake Bartenders to serve at an event over the weekend.  They did a great job!  The bartender was very professional to the guests and was helpful to our catering team as well.  In advance of the event, they were highly organized which gave me confidence they would deliver according to our expectations - and they did.  Overall very pleased with this service and the experience they provided for our client.

The Seattle American Advertising Federation hosts a lot of events throughout the year, so Shake is our go-to bartender for our programs! The whole Shake team goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of: from initial planning to end-of-night cleanup. James is especially charming and our attendees adore him.

Tara and the Shake team catered an event we hosted at work, and I could not be more pleased! They were responsive and collaborative in advance of the event, covered details proactively, and were a pleasure to work with. They showed up early to set up--which was a relief since traffic downtown is so unpredictable!--and set up a beautiful spread of food and drinks. The service, quality of food, and attention to detail on site was fantastic. All of our attendees were thrilled with the delicious food and we had many comments about how lovely the food setup was. Our custom cocktail was really tasty too! I would highly recommend the Shake team.

We are just a few days post my husband's/my 50th birthday bash and we cannot believe it took us this long to realize the right professional bartender is a "duh" if you want to assure a good time. 

We'll never get those other parties back but James, our bartender for the night, made up for every party before James. 

We have actually begun referring to our life in terms of "BJ"--the time Before James and "AJ"--the time After James. AJ people think we are super cool and throw the best parties ever. BJ they just thought we were nice guys who could cook. AJ our Facebook pages blew up! BJ...not so much. BJ we worried whether people would have fun at our parties. AJ we don't worry about that sort of thing. 

We asked Shake Bartenders for a very specific personality charged with getting well behaved Seattlites to let their hair down and they sent the most perfect person that ever lived to do the job. You would have thought he was genetically engineered and hatched just for our friends.

What a blast! What a party! What a bartender! What a guy!

Tara Fuller of Shake Bartenders ran our bartending and food service at Facebook Seattle for more than 200 people.  I recommend her to other non-profit orgs that need a dependable, competitively priced vendor to run major charity or fundraising events.   Tara has a process down which added high-value to our event.  

DETAILS

Shake Bartenders Seattle is pretty much what I expected from reading other reviews but exceed my expectations by taking lead where it was needed, yet working within our constraints, budget, and needs.

What impressed me the most was how cool under pressure the whole team was, given limited information, planning, and advance notice.  Staff was professionally dressed, worked as a team throughout, and offered  friendly service to our invited guests.  I even got a chance to debrief with Tara after the event, which was really a nice touch to the whole experience.  

CHALLENGES

Shake Seattle is great at running the show, and looking back at what could be improved, it is clear that using multiple vendors presented communication challenges.    

Since I never knew Shake Bartending work before, we were reluctant to put all our "eggs in one basket".  Moreover, when we originally planned this event in Mar 2014, Shake Bartending wasn't able to run non-profit rates and wholesale.  That option exists now for non-profits which resolves these challenges.  

My advice is to let Shake Bartending choose who they work with, and they will extend their magic to other parts of your event.

OVERALL

We intend on using Shake Bartending Seattle in all our future charity and fundraising events.  They are exceptionally coordinated and professional; have a process down; and are competitively priced against other local options.   Thanks, Tara & Shake Bartending Team!

Working with Shake Bartenders was so easy. Tara made our event planning a breeze and she and her staff were very easy to work with. There were lots of little details I needed help with and she seemed up for any challenge or request I had for the event. If you're looking for a vendor that offers many services so you don't have to source multiple, work with Shake!

James was our bartender for our wedding reception this last weekend and he was absolutely fantastic! Whenever I got a chance to glance over his way he was either helping people out with drinks or helping with things that weren't even part of his job duties, like refilling ice/water and carrying boxes around to where they needed to go. Shake Bartenders is very easy to work with and I'm very happy with our experience! Highly recommend using them for your upcoming event(s)!
