When it comes to the Marina del Rey Sephora. I think this location is by far the best I've been to, and I've been to a fair share over the holiday shopping season. There was plenty of staff, and a really good selection, I didn't have to fight my way through the isles. and everyone was knowledgeable and more helpful than any other that I've been in.
One thing I struggled with is the fact that there's so many businesses, and not a lot of parking, it can be quite cumbersome, trying to find a spot.

Vivian is seriously the best associate at Sephora! She is so sweet! Not only is she a very kind person, but she is very knowledgeable about all the products and EXTREMELY helpful! I only come here because of VIVIAN!!! She help me for over an hour, because I was so overwhelmed with all my options! She made me feel it is, and I'm so lucky to have found my sales associate at Sephora! I LOVE YOU VIVIAN!!!

Stopped in today while I was waiting for my lunch order in the shopping center here ... i love this Sephora the employees are very friendly and extremely helpful. Figured I would get color matched for concealer ( this is always a task as my skin is neutral but I always get recommended yellowish undertones) Danni helped me today and Oooommggg she is wonderful!!! So very helpful I can not say enough, not only did she search my Gucci concealer ( that I love) to find a good color match she also tried multiple colors and brands and lighting ( inside/ outside) she was honest didn't try to sell me on anything!!! She was so patient and so kind. I can't say enough so wanted to give Danni and shout out!! Thank you girly!!! I appreciate you!!!!

I'm a fairly regular customer of this location.
I was here recently while waiting to.meet a friend for lunch. I like walking around & checking out the various items. I was able to get several perfume samples..
It's always a great experience shopping at this store, as the staff are super pleasant, professional, & responsive.

I'm a fairly regular customer of this store. I was here for several items. The employee that helped me was super pleasant & helpful. They didn't have the particular shade of lipstick that I needed after checking several brands. She immediately helped me with an online order for the specified lipsticks. I'll be getting the lipsticks in a couple of days.
It's always a pleasant experience coming to this store, as the customer service is great. I've always found the staff to be pleasant, professional, & helpful.

I stopped by yesterday for a lip liner. The staff are super professional, helpful, & responsive. In fact, I feel that the employees at this store are more professional than other locations. I've chatted with several of the staff on various visits & have always found them to be very helpful.
I'm so glad that this store is still in business during the current times.

What a great experience! She was very pleasant, professional & helpful. She answered the questions that I had. I also got some good makeup tips. Mindy maintained her dignity & professionalism while several customers asked her questions while she was doing my makeover.
I've always had good experiences at this location. It's not quite as crowded as other locations. I like the attention that the staff gives to customer's questions, comments, etc.
I'm already looking forward to my next appointment!

What a great experience with Liana! She's very knowledgeable, pleasant & responsive. She answered the questions that I had & gave me some suggestions & samples.I totally enjoyed the makeup experience. I was very impressed by her knowledge of various products. I didn't feel pressured to buy the items that she used, as there were several things that I needed that I was going to purchase.
I do hope that Management acknowledges Liana, as this was one of the best makeup experiences that I've had. Even on a rainy birthday, I felt wonderful when I left. The Manager matched me up w/Gabby, the Lancome person. She answered my question & applied the product that I was asking about. She gave me some suggestions on how to get the best results from the product. I didn't feel pressured to buy the product at all. Gabby was very pleasant to deal with.
I will definitely book a makeup appointment with her in the near future.
The cashier gave me some samples when I was paying for the items that I purchased.
All in all a good experience & a lot easier than going to a mall & fighting the traffic. :Jul 30, 2017Previous reviewI went back to this location today, as the lipstick that I bought awhile ago wasn't lasting long enough. After getting a couple of samples of perfume, the gal helped me with lipstick. She helped me match the lip liner that I bought last time, with a longer lasting lipstick. I'm a long time Lancome user. I've been trying to be open to products from other company's. She was very helpful. & said that if I didn't like the new lipstick that I could bring it back & exchange it for another. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name.

It was a better experience then last time, as the gal in the perfume section was very helpful. They still don't carry Cashmere Mist, for whatever reason. However, this gal was able to give me some samples of perfumes that are similar. I also bought several Origins products that I was running low on. I joined the Sephora Club, as they said it's pretty easy to get points & to get a gift. The gal in the perfume section was very pleasant & helpful.
I'm actually glad that I got the Origins products, as it was a better experience then going to a nearby Macy's & having to pay for parking at the mall.

I needed to get a sample of Cashmere Mist, as I had finished the last sample that the I had. The gal that helped me wasn't all that great. She wasn't able to give me a sample of Cashmere Mist as they didn't have any in the store & she suggested that I try the roll on of this perfume. I thought $25.00 is way too expensive for a roll on She did give me a sample of some other perfumes to try.
I've been to other Sephora locations & they are able to give samples of this perfume. I didn't make a big deal out of it, as I was glad to get a couple of samples to keep in my purse.
I'll have to remember to get several samples of this perfume the next time I'm at Nordstrom's so I'll have some extras in my purse.
I know that this location has just opened, so I think that's part of the problem. This shopping center can be busy at various times. I got there early, so I found a parking place.
All in all, it was an okay experience & nothing special, in my opinion. - Jun 25, 2022
Stopped into this location because I need makeup setting spray. The employees at this location are really friendly. As usual I ended up getting more than I planned. If you are not signed up for their rewards program you should. You will get a birthday gift ( you can choose from makeup, hair or skin kits). My birthday was a couple months ago and I was still able to claim my gift.

Horrible. I went to return an online order that I received two days ago and Odonise who claimed to be the manage was rude, abrasive and loud which made my experience in the store a nightmare. You would think Sephora would hire individuals with excellent customer service skills not an individual who looked unprofessional and had a demeanor of a elementary school student. I will never return to this location and all staff at this location needs some serious customer service training. Moving forward I'll shop at Nordstrom or Neiman's for my beauty needs! Sephora thanks to Odonise you've just lost a loyal customer. It's unfortunate how one individual can change your preservative of a company in a matter of minutes!!!

The manager at this store is outstanding! And Julie helped me pick out the perfect shades for my new concealer. She was extremely knowledgeable about all things face and makeup and skincare. She recommended a few products that I am so happy I bought because I love them.

NOT the way I want to start my new year, but I HAVE to post this because I'm so angry. I got this perfume sampler for Xmas which I'm now dumping into the trash because Sephora would NOT let me return the travel size one I got mistakenly-- despite getting it 1 minute before! Total waste of my time and the gift is being DUMPED! The ENTIRE experience was so poorly handled I don't know where to begin. And YES, I wrote to corporate-- but they sent a refusal by email which was A COMPLETE waste of my time. I'm not interested in buying ANYTHING from this horrible company anymore. Just updating to add this is one of the worst Sephoras in terms of purchasing. They have almost everyone on the floor and one person behind the cash register. For this reason I usually go here to test out products to ensure they'll work and then purchase direct from the brand or at another Sephora location.

Although that area is very busy and can be tough with parking it's a very close and convenient location especially if you're already shopping or running errands there. In terms of products I was happy to see they have a LOT of Becca Cosmetics products and carried a wider range of their foundations than any other Sephora I'd seen (I usually have to order my shade online but they had it!). I searched everywhere but did not see a Bobbi Brown cosmetics aisle but all the other typical lines found in Sephora (Nars, Makeup Forever, Lancome, YSL, Smashbox, TooFaced, Kat Von D, etc.) were there.
This location is definitely still working out some of the "new store" kinks. In terms of service I was greeted at the door but beyond that no one offered to help or asked if I had questions. In fact my encounters with the staff in the makeup aisles consisted of having to move out of their way so they could aimlessly pretend to tidy up around the store and say excuse me so I would get to products they were blocking while conversing with other coworkers. The store wasn't busy at all so I would've thought someone would've offered to help out of boredom if nothing else. I shop at Sephora locations a lot so I know this type of behavior is rare. I chalk it up to the location only being open for a short time now.
