I picked-up my mealpal order in this place and I wasn't disappointed. The portions for 1/4 chicken, yellow rice and maduros is enough to satisfy my workday lunch craving.
As always, the staffs here are nice and the food are good. I will definitely come back here in the near future. - 52433418282/13/2018
Good food and great service. The portion they give and the price you pay is worth it.

Señor Pollo is sick.
Cheap, delicious Peruvian food in giant portions. Definitely have the Peruvian chicken, and go from there because anything else you'll get will be magical - from the fried rice to the green or sweet plantains to the yuca.
Check them out for delivery if you're in the area because the minimum is super low. Otherwise, there's plenty of seating to eat in.
The people who work here are super friendly too. - Brandon P.New York, NY4678128/19/2017
Overall, a good meal for convenience but nothing that I would crave.
Prices: You can expect to pay $13-$15 before tax and tip!
Space: This is a super casual place (not a date spot!) that has a good amount of seating.
Food: Decent but not great. I got the saltaldo with shrimp and chicken. I'm used to having fries in my saltado but it comes just with onions. It was tasty. The sides are a little plain. Again, good but not great. - 2761685171/9/2017
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. My friend and I both ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken (leg) and 2 sides. I got tostones and arroz moro, she got fries and white rice. We were both delighted when we first bit into the chicken. The chicken was oh so tender and seasoned just right, without being overly dry. The arroz moro (mixed rice with beans) was good, and the tostones were out of this world. Seriously. I've never seen such huge tostones, and the ones this place serves are all uniform in size and evenly crispy. For me, tostones get a little dry at the end, but that's natural given that it's just fried plantain. Took other yelpers' advice and used the green sauces, and wow!! I don't think they're by any means unique, but they were tasty and added another layer to the meal. The total for our two meals came out to $19!! Would definitely come back.

If you have been to a Peruvian or Pollo Rico franchise, it's the same menu format just a different name.
Let's Get Political
As a young college professional working in the city, it's often trivial to find affordable food to satisfy your palate and not destroy your stomach. Señor Pollo gives you quality food for reasonable prices. They season and marinade their chicken and you can taste it in "de bone." Their portion fills you up, and gives you a nice itis when you return to work (smiles). Aside from my last delivery experience when my plate of food appeared as if the gorilla from the zoo was holding my plate and shook it (photo evidence) , I forgive them. Furthermore, the waitress is fictionally hot. She is Telenova beautiful for no reason. - Luis J.Hamilton District, PA12071411/13/2017
In the Peruvian-O-Meter, I would give it a 3 stars. I'm
Peruvian, and we Peruvian demand a lot from our pollos. The Pros - prompt service, good food, no waiting
The cons - expensive for Peruvian food. Also, arroz moro is from the Caribbean, not necessarily from Peru. Not that I'm complaining, but sometimes chicken and French fries it all it takes to make it great. Besides that, everything was great. I'll definitely be returning..... just need to break open my piggy bank, - 36222819958/30/2016
Ever just crave Chicken with Rice and Beans?
This is probably one of the best chicken with rice and beans! Absolutely moist chicken and many sides for you to choose from! If you are watching your waistline, they have healthy sides such as steamed veggies, salad, and even quinoa!
But if you are looking for traditional Latin American food, you must try the mixed rice and beans and the sweet plantains! Perfect match in heaven!
Also, they provide a green hot sauce and chimichurri sauce! I personally love their hot sauce with the perfectly moist chicken breast!
I could easily eat this 3-4 times a week! Amazing chicken with rice and beans! - Mike S.New York, NY2054174/10/2018
This is a tough one! On one hand, I really like the food. A quarter chicken (dark meat/leg) + two side (or health portions) is $11. That's my go to. Add an extra $2 if you want white meat.
I've been going about once a week for the past month. Every time ordering is a bit of a hassle and they make mistakes. It's hard to get their attention for whatever reason and they generally are just slow.
Not the end of the world and the food is still worth it but just be prepared for so-so service. - Joanna N.New York, NY85241520345/24/2017
I was in the mood for some rotisserie chicken with my favorite green sauce so I made the short walk to Senor Pollo. I have previously ordered from here and had great meals. Quarter chicken combo with rice&beans and sweet plantains is my go to and I even have leftovers usually.
The combo cost(before tax) increased drastically from 9.50 to 11 since last month. It's only a matter of time for most restaurants and expected so no problem. I get it. Except, the food I received did not match the price point.
The walk back to the office is no more than 10 minutes so there was no reason why my food had to be reheated. The chicken was dry and the smallest portion ever. The rice and beans tasted as if it had been left out. They really skimped too, there was barely a full layer of it. No leftovers this time -- not that I wanted any. The green sauce was still amazing though, as was the sweet plantains.
Unfortunately, this lunch rotation bites the dust. Not satisfied. Not happy. There are closer and cheaper spots closer to work serving consistent chicken.
