Never know the existence of this place until my hubby's parents brought us here. This place is a very classic 'Tua Char' aka 'Tai Chow'. They have been around for many many years.
They serve a wide variety of fried noodles, fried rice, and stir fry vegetables. I kinda like their food because it tastes simple and nice. Doesn't feel like those MSG-filled food.
Other than the very grumpy waitress (a little rude as well), this place is very nice to dine at. Nice food with fairly reasonable pricing. The thing I like most was, it is not operated by foreigners (this is a family operated business).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eugene L.Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia39315328Mar 14, 2015First to Review
If you're from out of town, and looking for authentically nostalgic street food, look no further! This family run Chinese "Tai Chow" Restaurant had been in existence for more than 30 years. I only came to know of this from my family members a few months back. Now this is one of my very few go-to places for Chinese "Tai Chow" in Klang.
This is actually a place where you can have quality and traditionally prepared street food at really REASONABLE prices! I find that their Cantonese Fried Noodles are great! (especially with thick yee mee!). Other than serving quality street food, this place is also very good in terms of cleanliness (Something that is not too common for street stalls). The dishes are still prepared by an old uncle with decades of experience and finesse.
In my humble opinion is that apart from the food, having to dine here gives you a trip down memory lane as the environment here is still pretty much feels like the olden days (70's/80's era). Maybe this place is just next to the old bus station in Klang(Now relocated).
I strongly recommend this place to every non-halal foodies to try!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
