Before going to Scream Loco, we decided to eat at the Eatery. I went to Sbarro. I ordered a side of meatballs in marinara sauce. It came with two meatballs. It was served in a foil container. I couldn't believe that it cost $5.99.

Good and not so good but to be fair, all food places are the same.
What needs addressing is the extra fee when paying other than cash.
Build the fee into the costs but don't stick customers. Also...debit cards. Paying by debit card...Zero fees, zero bank fees...money comes directly from the customers account to yours. So, why are you charging customers extra for using a debit card?
Pay terminals have different selections to differentiate between debit and credit cards for customers.
PIN request are debit card.
Didn't realize the extra fee at this place in Des Moines until our 4th visit...then seen the small sign telling customers...fee for card use. I told the guy...debit card...no fees. Didn't care and feinted...not
understanding English. Ha ha...sure understands the dollar though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darren M.Prattville, AL13272Apr 19, 2021
This place used to be one of my favorite places at the mall. Now it's awful. Little to no effort in the food and service. The Stromboli I bought was badly burned and horrible. I couldn't eat it all. No wonder there were so few people there. I'm never coming back here again.

Pretty good pizzas (big selection). Salads are tasty as well. The staff there are always friendly and always greet me.
Pizzas and calzones always going into the oven before they give to customers. Food tastes fresh every time I eat here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Terry p.Reston, VA053Dec 16, 2016
Ordered two calzones. They used s chain driven miniature oven to heat the calzones instead of putting them in the big oven. The calzones were cold. I went back and had mine heated in the big oven. My wife ate her's cold.
If you order a calzone, insist on the big oven heating unless you like them cold and don't mind the extra wait for a cold one.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julio G.Ashburn, VA13691Aug 29, 2017
Stromboli I ordered was delicious but it was still cold inside. Staff was friendly and quick. Probably come back when it's all fresh.

I was at the Dulles town center mall and decided to take home a pepperoni Stromboli. The flavor was good and there was plenty of pepperoni. I wish they would had been as generous with the cheese as they had been with the pepperoni. I wasn't crazy about the sesame seeds on the outside of the crust. The staff was not very friendly. Price was reasonable.

We frequently get pizza at Sbarro at Dulles Town Center. The pizza is usually good but we haven't tried anything else.
I was very disappointed in my experience today. We ordered 2 cheese pizza slices which are $3.29 each. The server tried to upsell us to the special for $8.49 and tried to convince me 2 cheese slices cost $7.99 so it is only 50 cents more. My words of advice - it's good pizza but watch the prices and don't believe what they tell you about "savings".Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Monica H.Sterling, VA015Aug 1, 2019
I will never go to Sbarro's again, at least not this location. I ordered a whole pizza, first the guy wanted to give me the one that was out and I said I would like one that was made fresh. They had food ready but it was all cold and it looked like it had been sitting awhile. The gentleman (this was not a teenager but a man probably in his 40's) started making the pizza. I then asked the woman (middle age) if I could pay, she didn't understand me so I asked the gentleman, he said you want to pay now and I said yes so I could go wash my hands, he then preceded to ring me up take my money. He then went back to making my pizza he did not wash his hands or put on gloves. I then stopped him and said could you please wash your hands or put on gloves and give me a new section of dough you just took my money which is really dirty and then touching my food. He then did a half a$$ hand washing, used a cloth towel probably used to wipe up spills to dry hands I would have asked for my money back, but he did put gloves on, so I let it go. I did stick close by until he put the pizza in the oven. He also placed the old dough that I had asked him to replace back into the bin, so that dirty dough was used for another pizza. When my daughter went back to get napkins she said he was making pizza again with no gloves. Its seems the employees or atleast this one need to go back for some training about proper food handling.

I witness something that was sicken . I went at closing time to get a slice of pizza. A young gentleman was at the register getting a piece of pizza. The was a father and his son in front of me. I was the third customer.
The young man probably about 15 a black American ask for a slice of cheese pizza. The man behind the counter went and retrieved the slice of cheese pizza for thatyoung man. Customer number two with his son said oh we were going to pick that piece. It was the last slice of cheese pizza . He went to the young gentleman and said sorry he was unable to give him a slice of pizza now. That's it. Unbelievable. I do not know this child. But I was trying to register everything that was going on. I ended up getting the last slice of spinach pizza. After that I talk to my husband and told him I would go over and talk to this child. I asked the child if he did not mind telling me what happened. He was with two young ladies. He ended up telling me exactly what I thought happened. I got the young man's number and told him to tell his parents. And that I would give him a call. This was on believable. It's unfortunate because the father with the young boy still allowed the man behind the counter to give him that slice of cheese pizza over the little boy that was waiting as the very first customer. This will not be the end of thisHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
