Horrible dentist office. In the beginning of last year 2015 I went in to get a routine check up and clean up. While waiting I informed the staff I was thinking of getting braces and asked them what the process would be with them. They informed of the process and told me they would schedule me for a consult in a couple of weeks. I agreed. While I was having my clean up, I noticed the dentist was being really aggressive and it hurt to the point I had to let him know. Needless to say my gums and teeth became really sensitive afterwards. I couldn't bite into anything because the slightest pressure would make my gums bleed. I went back to the dentist and informed them of what happened. The dentist prescribed some medication in form of toothpaste that I had to pay out of pocket, but I figured screw it...if it will help then it is worth it. I finished the toothpaste a couple of days before my consultation. However, it seemed liked the medicine was making it worse. I went back to the doctor and he told me that "he knew exactly what to give me this time." He gave me another prescription. I also had my consultation that same day and they told me the total of the braces, what my insurance covered, and how long I would have to wear them for. They then asked me if I wanted to go through with it and I told them that I did ONCE I stopped bleeding from my gums and that I would call them to make an appt. when I was ready. I left and headed to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and once again, I had to pay out of pocket. Needless to say I was so furious when I saw the medication. It was exactly the same tube of toothpaste he had prescribed me before even when I had told him that it had made my gums worse. I called them and told them what their problem was and all they could say was if I was sure it was the same medicine. I was livid. Do these people not track the medicine they prescribe people?! I forced them to pay me back for that medicine. To make matters worse, I had to go see a specialist afterwards because of what they caused. And while I was visiting this specialist and paying for my treatment out of my pocket I get a letter one day from my insurance company. Guess what? The dentist office started to bill my insurance for orthodontist work! They were claiming that they had put braces on me and were cashing in on it. I quickly called my insurance company and went to talk to the dentist office. The lady who is in "charge" of all the paperwork is named Elvia. I confronted her about it and she apologized and said she would contact my insurance office right away. I gave her the benefit of the doubt until I received a second notice for billing from them towards my insurance for the orthodontist work they never did! At this point I was about to burn the office down. I called them and spoke with Elvia who said she had contacted my insurance (I spoke with my insurance and they didn't have record of any contact with the dentist office). At that point I made the insurance company three way me with the dentist office. Elvia once again said she would look into my file because it "was at the other office" and send the correct paperwork to the insurance company. Needless to say....I finally opened up a claim against them a couple of months ago because they stopped all forms of contact with my insurance. My insurance has sent them multiple letters, called them multiple times, and they have even faxed them several times for the $500+ they charged me for, but they dentist office hasn't responded. On top of that, my cousin had a really bad tooth ache a couple of weeks ago and he decided to visit this stupid office (he wasn't aware of the situation) and when he was getting all the paperwork done the lady saw his last name and asked him if he knew my mom and he said that my mom was his aunt. Well guess what she did? She went on and started telling my cousin about MY mother's account information. This dentist office is such an unprofessional place, the wait for them is so long, and they don't respect your privacy. They are more worried about money than helping people out the right way. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

the staff is so nice and the Dr. Cabrera is very gentle. I know dentists can be very intimidating and I normally am but ever since I've been going to San Jose Dental, I have trust that they will always take care of me. I have recommended them to many of my friends and family and they all thank me when I see them. I highly recommend them.

The staff was very friendly and kind. The medical facility was very clean and tidy. Dr. Cabrera was very knowledgeable about everything. They accepts insurances and also cash which was a great option.

They charged my dad so much money and didn't recommend the correct treatment. He got dental crowns and now they're falling off only a year later. He went back and they wanted to charge him to fix their mistake. Do yourself a favor and never come here! They just think about money and don't care about the patients.

Do not go here. My mom went and they told her she'll be paying for ABC service for X amount of money. She goes in for her appointment, they did a total different service and charged her way more. She tried to let them know why did they charge her more for a service she did not need and the workers acted dumb and still made her pay. Look somewhere else, I'm sure you'll find a better dental with better customer service as well. Although, my mom had to pay, we believe in karma.

Horrible customer service, they just want you money, they don't care about your teeth health, they don't treat you with respect and if you don't pay attention they will charge to your insurance for work that you didn't received. Be careful.

I've been a very long time customer with San Jose Dental. However, for the past couple of years their customer service has declined significantly. This year I attempted to make an appointment and they never answer their phone. They don't have a business recording with their days and hours of operation. After many attempts I was finally able to make an appointment and the day I'm scheduled I get there and they tell me they have a plumbing issue and wanted to send me to a dental office at different location. I asked receptionist why I didn't receive phone call to let me know this and she said it had just happened that day. I reschedule my appt 2 weeks later which is today. I arrive to dental office and there's a sign on door to call for appt. I call and again they said they are still having plumbing issues and wanted to send me to a different dental office. I cancelled appt with lady on phone and she didn't even have the smarts to ask for my name. Absolutely horrible customer service. They didn't call me in advance to let me know they were still having plumbing issues. Will never go to this dental office again. I've been going there for over 20 yrs and now I will have to shop around for a dental office that knows customer service!
