Best frozen cocktail?!?

I'm a craft beer guy but they have some tasty frozen drinks according to the wife. Ask any bartender for a suggestion.

Salty Pelican is definitely on my rotation when in Fernandina! The restaurant is always packed and a great lesson in organized chaos. Upon arrival the number of people standing, sitting and chasing kids is a bit overwhelming but let me tell you the wait is swift and the staff so accommodateing!
With that said.. we hit the jackpot in this busy Saturday afternoon and found 2 seats at the bar. Honestly always no matter where I am my favorite place to sit.
We were greeted by a tag team of bartenders and ordered a Land Shark and my favorite Founders -All Day IPA!
Beers dropped and we quickly order crab dip. The deliciousness arrived quickly hot and bubbly with soft pita bread triangles.
Lunch choice was hard but I decided fried shrimp and oysters with sweet potato fries and my son chose grilled fish n shrimp with a side salad.
Delicious! The 2 bartenders were professionally handling walk up orders, batters and dining room orders. Wew! As someone that has been on that side of the bar was amazing!
It was an awesome afternoon. Delicious food and amazing service. See you soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 8, 2023Previous reviewA day at the Shrimp Festival calls for a delicious restaurant. We were lucky enough to score an upstairs table where we could see the water, watch the crowd and sit down. We were greeted by a very personable waitress. Despite the crowds she was on point and oh so friendly. The service was fast and the beer and margaritas quenched our thirst! I opted for the Ahi Tuna Tacos with a side of pasta salad. The tacos were so delicious and topped with yummy seaweed salad. The pasta salad was banging good. My friends both choose a fried shrimp and oyster basket with fries. If you have never been to the Salty Pelican you really must go. It was a perfect stop during our day at the Shrimp Festival!

We love coming to this restaurant. It has a fabulous atmosphere, and the food is solid. Our faves are the tuna nachos, broiled oysters (3 different preparations), ribeye (cut in house with the best flavor) and their soup of the day by Chef Mike.
We so enjoy Sarah and Duane who are both bartenders. They usually work together. It's always a treat and very fun to chat with them. Go Sarah and Duane! and of course Salty!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 4, 2024
We were immediately scolded by an employee because we didn't notice or read the apparent multiple signs about asking a server to be seated upstairs. He was fairly aggressive about it as if we either did or purpose or were that stupid. But it was the typical super-passive-aggressive I hate my job and I hate Everyone comment " Hey did you not read the signs?" Followed by "it's okay this time but next time". Um.
Imagine that we were taking motorcycle rides that day. 1000% just enjoying the weather and excited to try your restaurant. Maybe in our excitement we missed some rules posted. Maybe consider updating how that failed system works. Maybe consider you are a rude person who might want to consider how you speak to paying and generously tipping customers. We weren't rude. We were polite and laughed off your gruff barking before you vanished to wherever you go to hate people privately.
Tell the owners, the ones who would be affected by your hostile negativity towards their patrons, we won't be returning at all. The drink and appetizer was great but that white bald man working upstairs needs to be evaluated. SheeeeeeshHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 3 - Mar 22, 2024
I will honestly say that we ended up here because everything else is pretty much closed by the time we went to go get something to eat, but I think it was the best possible thing that happened to it because everything has been amazing!
To start I chose to get the shrimp and corn chowder for a $2 upcharge with my sandwich, and Megan (our wonderful server) offered to bring it before the meal. It was way better than I could've possibly imagined! I didn't want to stop eating it, but I knew I had to save room for my actual meal. I ordered portobello sandwich and my husband got the Friday Fish and Chips Special. I didn't get the cilantro aioli because I do not like cilantro, but I asked for it in the side and it's good. My sandwich was amazing! It had a little kick from something, but not spicy. The fish and chips is probably the best I have ever had. It was made with cod, but it looks so fresh and so flaky in the batter is nice and crisp. I have nothing negative to say about one single thing that we got tonight! I even like where they seated us because it's nice and quiet compared to upstairs. Between Spring break and March madness, it's not crazy at all.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 597293Jan 20, 2024
We were seated immediately (we asked to sit at the bar). The bartender, Sarah, was superb. We are grateful that she told us that the lunch size portion of the fish & chips was generous. We decided to split it and added the house salad. She also makes a great Bloody Mary, nice and spicy!
The fish was moist, perfectly cooked. Was served with malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The chips stole the show. Thin wedges of potatoes. I think I will dream of these down the road. The salad was a generous portion of greens, veg and avocados. The croutons were meh, not crispy. No biggie.
The restaurant is clean, well maintained and hopping. Bustling but was able to maintain great service. You will see us again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 2, 2023
I asked for good seafood, and I was directed here. It has a view of water and rooftop diving.
I was lucky enough to dine upstairs. The view was fabulous. I highly suggest the rooftop, dining..
The bartender was also the server. He was very engaging. He recommended the fish and shrimp duo. It was satisfying
I really enjoyed my experience there, and would return. The only thing I was disappointed about was the Keylime pie. Seemed like they forgot the lime. Oh my.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Christine H.Paradise, NV0614Apr 22, 2024
Fun place to eat with ac, but the open outdoor feeling! Recommend going at sunset as they have an amazing view and the sunsets over the harbor can be stunning!

1/20/24. Just stopped in for a quick drink and an app (after getting off the antique replica of the ship at the port). Wanted to sit up stairs but said no tables so sat down stairs. Service was good, fish dip was good and so was the beer so.....no complaints!

They have many beers and all the liquor drinks. The food is good too, we had ahi tuna sandwich which was seasoned well, 8 oz BLT on bun with a side for $14. Our sides were crisp sweet potato fries. Truthfully it is enough to split esp with a couple of beers! They had music Sat afternoon, too. Wonder lunch spot!
