Salt Flats Cafe

Great local small business. Heads up cash only! Great food and good prices. We were greeted and seated right away and given a menu and took our drink order. We both opted for a taco salad one with steak and one with chicken.  Both were good sized and very filling and the meats were both tender and flavorful. They have free chips and salsa they brought out with our drinks as well. The service was great and definitely a great local place to eat.

They were very amiable and very popular.
My husband and I both enjoyed our meals.
I am sure it has been mentioned before, but cash only at this restaurant. Very reasonably priced.

Absolutely amazing food! And what a deal!!! And the size is more than generous. We all had leftovers.

Been a while since I've dined here.  Actually last visit was when they were in a gas station out by the salt flats.  

Not much has changed.  I remember the "Pancho Special" from my previous visit and went with that. The asada is a fine diced style that wasn't overly fatty.  Good flavor.  Verde was meaty with a thinner sauce.  Rice and beans were better then average.  I also ordered a horchata that came in a huge cup.  

The service was very friendly.  Plan on a very basic decor.  Oh and most importantly bring cash!

The service was SO fast and the food was amazing! At 6 months pregnant it's hard to find food that tastes good and fills me up and stays down all at once, but I had no issues here. Just wish I had had room to eat more.

I had heard good things about this place from a friend who always stops by here when they're in Wendover so I thought I'd give it a try.
Right when we walked in we were greeted and sat down. They brought out chips and salsa and asked what we wanted to drink. The chips and salsa were just okay. I personally don't like thick chips and these were really thick. I could tell they were homemade, they had good flavor I just didn't care for how thick they were.
I ordered the Mexican combo #1 which was a steak taco and 2 enchilads with rice and beans and it was pretty good. My friend ordered the street tacos and I almost wish I had ordered those instead, they were so good!
The prices here are really good! For the amount of food you get and having it be so close to the main street of Wendover you can't beat it. When I come back next time I'm definitely getting their street tacos!

Love stopping here on our way home from Wendover. Their breakfast burritos made on fresh tortillas are authentic and delish. Their homemade chops and salsa are the perfect accompaniment. Had to take a photo of the cute man that always provides great service and makes sure that are order is wrapped so we can eat in the car. This is where the locals dine which is where I like to dine as well

Great Mexican cafe food. We went there for breakfast. They only take cash and we had to run to an ATM. Otherwise it was friendly service with pretty good food.
