We love this restaurant! Unfortunately we can't get there a lot because we are in north Jersey. The food is delicious. The coffee-encrusted streak is so good. We love the salt and vinegar chips appetizer too. All of the desserts are really wonderful! I especially love the butter cake.

HI Vicki C. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a positive note for Heather! We totally agree, she is such an amazing member of our SCG Family! We are so happy she was able to create a memorable experience for you at Salt Creek Grille.

If I could I would give it 3.5 stars but the service is what made me round up instead of down.
You walk into a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful ambiance. I've been here before for an event, but this is the first time I've come for a full dinner. The variety that they offer in food is good for people of all pallets, however that means there won't be multiple version of one protein. The service was excellent and was the best part of the experience. Even the manager stopped by to talk to us after our appetizer which I loved.
DRINKS
All the drinks were absolutely delicious.
TajÃn margarita
Moscow Mule
Spiced red wine
APPETIZERS
Brussel sprouts- they were a little better then okay but a little too soggy for my liking.
Salt and vinegar potato chips- delicious and addicting.
Warm sourdough loaf - to die for.
ENTREE-
Nothing really stood out as something we would need to come back for even if it was good. Nothing special.
All the sushi rolls were good and filling. Unfortunately don't remember the names of them. Salt creek house salad- was okay it needed something else in it.
Ribs- were delicious.
Fries- one of the worst I've ever had. Soggy skinny and unappetizing.
The special of barramundi was dry.
The steak was pretty good.
The salmon was pretty good as well.
Dessert-
2 Butter Cakes - was disappointed. I've had the butter cake before here just a sample for an event and there was options for a Caramel or strawberry last time and for the dessert on the menu there was no option and the strawberry wasn't as good and the cake wasn't even hot.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 3721887159Mar 2, 2024Updated reviewSeated via Yelp Reservations
Always crowded with happy smiling faces who apparently dig the Epcot inspired interpretation of an Aspen Colorado aerie stuck on the outskirts of a moribund outdoor mall.
The food is fast casual mediocre with pricing that suggests a slow formal gouge.
Someone always wants to come here so I just smile and wait for their gushing approval that usually ends with "cool." I think it's time to resurrect one of those Yelp catchphrases from days gone by... Meh. That about sums it up.Helpful 21Thanks 3Love this 10Oh no 3Business owner information

Hi Michael, Thank you for taking the time to offer us feedback. We are proud to announce we have a new Executive Chef and we are working hard to address the portion sizes, thank you!
Jan 17, 2022Previous reviewShort and sweet. Dinner was decent and the service was spot on but be prepared to scream at your guests at or near full volume during peak seatings. Pro-tip: pack a bullhorn or better yet, learn to sign. Rumor has it they may also be considering a new location on the tarmac at JFK or delivering to the first ten rows of the next AC/DC tour. Order the tea, you'll need it.
Seriously, over the years the portion sizes here have gone south to the point that I now require a jeweler's loupe to count the brussel sprouts and vinegar potato chips. I've had better meals and certainly, better value. Three stars, mostly for the service. - Dec 25, 2023Seated via Yelp Reservations
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salt Creek Grille, and the experience was wonderful. I discovered Salt Creek Grille through Yelp, and I am grateful for the platform for leading me to such a gem. The service was great, and the steaks were incredibly flavorful. Easily a five-star experience. The staff was attentive and the space offers an upscale, casual vibe.
If you appreciate mouthwatering steaks, Salt Creek Grille is a must-visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Was asked for a reservation as soon as we came in on a Saturday evening. They gladly accepted without one though, there were ample seats anyway so we didn't have to wait. A little formal ambiance but of course, they accept anyone wearing casual! Our server was really nice and he comes not so very often but every time we needed him! Perfect timing and never asks while we're chewing our food! LOL! Food were all great! Mac and cheese, not so worth it just becausenof the serving. The kid's baby back rib's like an adult serving for me! The sourdough loaf is not pull-apart, kind hard to pull apart actually but was good so yeah, we liked it. Nice event place for birthdays and special gatherings too. Walking distance from Westin and mall area with ample parking.

What a great family dinner we had this past Saturday evening. Alyssa P was our server and she did a great job and was very personable with great recommendations.
I haven't been to this location in a few years and it didn't disappoint. We usually go to the Rumson location as it's closer to home.
Drinks and appetizers were very tasty. Brussels sprouts & Burrata salad were very good and everyone enjoyed them.
3 of us ordered the Parmesan- Crusted Filet and there were 3 clean plates ! I ordered the slow roasted half-chicken and it was very tasty and a nice sized portion.
Dessert was also yummy as we celebrated a birthday with Flourless chocolate Cake & Butter Cake. I didn't try it but seems like the butter cake got high reviews!!
Heather helped us redeem our gift certificate and she was so super helpful. I'm so excited for the upcoming Holiday Gift certificate deal that's coming up again around Black Friday. You buy $100 of gift cards and you get one free. Yes, $100 free. It's an amazing deal and I'm looking forward to visiting Salt Creek Grill again very soon.
It's a beautiful restaurant and in a great location. Amazing vibe inside too. We will be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Came here for lunch on a weekday. They serve classic American cuisine. During lunch hours they have open seating in the bar area. The main dining room is reserved for dinner service. There is also outdoor seating. The interior of the restaurant is kind of dark with all of the wood, but there are big windows looking out on greenery.
I had the cheeseburger which I really enjoyed. I had been wanting a burger for a few days now, and this one didn't disappoint. However, I expected for the fries since they were cold. It seemed like they had just grabbed a bunch from under the heat lamp. This was disappointing especially since there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant at the time.
The service was fine- not bad but not excellent either.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

I love this restaurant so much! I went last night with some family and we had an excellent time. Our server was fantastic and the food was incredible. I got the house salad and their delicious fries which are my favorite. I also was able to get a nonalcoholic margarita which was tasty and made my dinning experience much better. Overall this is one of my favorite places to eat, I'll definitely be back.

Excellent experience. Quality of the food was very good and the atmosphere was really nice. Prices were not unreasonable and I'd return absolutely. We had the sashimi appetizer, cedar plank salmon and steak for dinner entrees. Everything was quality and cooked perfectly.

Happy Friyay Adventurers!
I was able to attend an event here so grabbing dinner afterwards was the smart thing to do, because WOW! The food was so good, I wanted to order at least 3 other dishes, but was pretty stuffed between the 3 items I already ordered. First off, the ambiance of this place it gorgeous, especially for a date night. There's plenty of seating which included community table style seating however, it is recommend to get a reservation on the busier evenings. I can see a lot after work corporate meetups happening here. Secondly, the variety of foods on the menu runs from steaks, pastas, seafood, to sushi items. So you get a bit of everything while being able to do a tapas style eating.
I ordered the spicy Calabrian shrimp which it def packed a kick, I loved it! Ended up taking half home and made lunch the next with pasta. I love a harvest style salad, so I ordered they house salad because the candied walnuts complimented the vinaigrette so well. I also ordered the fresh burrata because yah girl LOVES crostini and cheese. Man it's very much what I make at home and I was in love. The even had garlic confit to smear on the crostini toast. My most exciting moment was ordering a martini. I've been trying to get into my dirty martini era but haven't *quite* made it yet. The French pear Martini is perfect for the fall seasons--not too sweat or alcoholy. Hopefully next time I can try other dishes and drinks. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

It has been about 3 years since I've been to Salt Creek Grille. However, I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. I recently came for Happy Hour, but I've had dinner here a handful of times also.
The Happy Hour runs from 4:00 - 6:00. All wines by the glass and draft beer are 1/2 price. There is a happy hour food menu, but other establishments offer better happy hour food deals. We ordered the Edamame, Spicy Tuna Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. I didn't find the prices to be anything specials, but the food was fine. It was hard at times to get the attention of our bartender, since the bar was packed.
The main draw of Salt Creek Grill is the great vibe and energy. From the long wooden communal center table, to the high ceilings, to the outdoor patios and fireplaces, it's a great place to hang out all year round. It's always been a fun spot to meet up with friends after work or the occasional evening dinner.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

Mar 5, 2020Previous reviewI've been frequenting Salt Creek Grille for many years now, primarily for Happy Hour. However, I have had dinner here a handful of times, including recently for my birthday celebration with a group of 10 friends. Our service was great and the food is good. I find pricey compared to similar establishments in the area.

The Happy Hour runs from 4:00 - 6:30. There is a discounted apps menu, which seems to change ever so often. Wednesdays are half price wine all night and Thursdays are Martini Night.
On my most recent visit, I ordered the half chicken entree. The chicken was very good, moist and flavorful. For dessert we got the chocolate shuffle, which takes 20 minutes to make. It was decadent, but not worth $14. I've also had the Watermelon Salad (which was delicious) and the Ahi Tuna Tartare (which was not). The Tuna was placed atop cucumbers and had an excessive amount of Sriracha Mayo. And the amount of tuna was a bit skimpy.
