    • Q:

For the cave meditation, do they accept walk ins or by appointment only? Also, I would like to book for next weekend (Sunday) do you still honor groupon vouchers?

      A:

The accept walk in as long as they have the availability for it. Your best bet is to make a reservation since people are always around the area it will fill up.

    • Q:

Is there an opportunity to change clothes before entering?

      A:

Yes, they have nice bathrooms you can use. We did not feel the need to change but could have easily if we wanted to.

Had a girls' weekend getaway and decided to treat ourselves to massages. I am so glad we did!

Mia, my masseuse, was AMAZING! She definitely knows what she is doing! Her magical hands knew exactly where all my knots were and used just the right pressure to loosen them up without hurting me.

Wish I lived closer to get massages from Mia! Ty Mia!

I attended my first halotherapy (sitting in a room with cool crushed salt infused into the air) and quite enjoyed it.

I was shocked that some of my problems diminished for a few days and that I genuinely felt better.

The reason for the 3 stars and not 5 is that the music was way too loud and the person with whom I was with did not like the selection of spa music. One should not need ear plugs.

I stayed for the entire session but the other person could not tolerate the loud radio and left early waiting outside for me. That created tense feelings and diminished what would otherwise have been enjoyable.

Thanks Sarah: appreciate your visit and review. We will check the music selection as that does not sound like the normal meditation session music we use.

What a special surprise my friend gave me for my birthday.....a day in Santa Barbara with a meditation session at the Salt Cave!

The salt cave is a very cool looking place for sure. You take stairs down into a basement"cave" where there is a gift shop with all things salt, massage rooms, spa rooms and a large room where meditations and other activities like yoga take place.

We had an appointment for a meditation session on a Friday afternoon in October. I really didn't know what to expect but I was excited to be there. We were asked to take off our shoes and the front desk lady escorted us into the large room where there were gravity free chairs for us to sit on. The ground was Himalayan salt/sand and the walls and ceilings were lined in Himalayan salt rocks. The lights were dimmed and it felt very peaceful in there. The lady told us she was waiting a few more minutes to see if anyone else would show up for the meditation and we were welcome to sit and get comfortable. After about 5 minutes she came back in to tell us we were the only ones for this session and she was going to start. She then walked out of the room. I was expecting that she was going to be the one to guide us into a meditation. I guess I was wrong. Lights dimmed a bit more and an introduction came across the speakers telling us about salt and the benefits, etc. After peaceful music started. I thought at this point a recording of someone guiding us in the mediation would start. Again, I was wrong. The "meditation" was simply a recording of relaxing music. OK....a little disappointed at this point but hey, it's relaxing and I am detoxing with the salt air and salt all around me. I started my self-talk meditation and started to get more relaxed and then...BANG! BANG! People above us were banging things and what sounded like moving furniture. Our relaxing, peaceful time did not last long at all. It was so very disappointing. We stayed in the room, breathing in the air and experiencing the salt around us but that's all it was. When our session was done my friend told the front desk about the loud noise and their response was something to the effect that they knew they were moving upstairs and was hoping it wouldn't be loud. They didn't offer to bring us back another time to experience a peaceful time there without any banging (after the moving upstairs ended)
I am not sure how much my friend paid for this gift. It was supposed to be a very special birthday gift to me (and her) because we are in very stressful jobs. Unfortunately this gift didn't live up to her very sweet intentions.
I do not like writing reviews like this but I feel like people need to know about this and they should proceed at their own discretion.
On a positive note, I did take some cute pics of the place.

      What an EXPERIENCE!!
      Our session was amazing!!
We did the salt cave 45 min meditation where we got to relax and unwind from all the walking and activities!
On State St. kind of a hidden gem.
their staff is warm and helpful.
We checked in with no problem and were given clear instructions of what would happen next.
their medication music was awesome and so were the reclining chairs!
Honestly, if youre around check them out!
next time we are back here we are getting the couples massage. i heard so many great things about it!

At first, I thought this was going to be a waste of time, but it ended up being such a relaxing experience. We chose to come here to sit in the salt cave for the 45 minute session. During this time they dim the lights and play meditating music. They have reclining chairs (think comfortable beach chairs that can recline) or you also have the option to just sit or lay down straight on the salt. It was very relaxing and it's an opportunity to just lay and not think of anything else. Focus on your deep breathing and enjoy the 45 minutes with no distractions and limited lighting.

When you arrive, you will have to check-in with the staff at the desk. From there they will guide you to the salt cave. This is where you will have to take off your shoes and also taking off your socks is recommended (I did see a couple people who kept their socks on though). From there you will enter the salt cave and choose your chair to sit on. It was an interesting feeling walking on he pink salt. Think of walking on small chunks of pink salt before it gets ground for seasoning on food.

**The staff will let you know from the start that if you need to exit the room for whatever reason that you will not be allowed back in since it will be a distraction to everyone else in the room with you.

I will definitely be back again for the salt cave meditation experience. They also have massages and I want to check that out as well.

Horrible customer service by I believe the manager (the old lady). She saw my partner & I as we walked in, looked down & didn't even greet us. She then spoke to us in such a rude manner (almost felt racist). The other staff (younger lady) politely took over, which we were grateful for.
The salt experience was great, however it could have been better if it weren't for the rude old lady (possible manager).

Wow wow wow, loved this place. I did a meditation cave session followed by a 60-minute Swedish massage with Danny. So relaxing and serene. Great vibes. The massage with Danny was easily one of the top 3 massages I've had in my life (I've had a lot). The gift shop is so fun. Loved this place, I will be back.

Showed up at 5:50 hoping to buy a gift certificate. After having checked to see how late they were open it said 6:00 on all platforms but they had already locked up.
$250 can go to someone else I guess.
