Let's just say I came home crying. Ms. M cut my hair way too shot even with couple of picture I showed. It came out nothing like picture. I had wedding to go next day and I almost canceled because of my hair. She cut my bangs toooo short even after I said I don't want to cut short with picture. After she cut it so short, she even try cut shorter and I almost crying and asked her not to. She's got really old technic and I don't know why but she almost shaved my neck area which turns out very weird short hair there. My hair was medium so no reason to get there shorter. I went to the different salon couple days later and i needed to cut my hair even shorter but still looked weird because of the way too short bangs she did. I was soooo embarrassed going anywhere with this hair.... So angry and sad..

I've been coming here for several years and have never been disappointed. My mother took me here when I first wanted highlights in my hair, and I was doubtful at first, but they completely blew me away. Masako, a close friend of my mother's, was extremely gracious despite my social awkwardness. Despite the fact that I barely spoke, she assisted me in gathering examples/inspiration without pressuring me to do so. She maintained conversation with me and my mother while also bringing us drinks; she made me feel as if I'd known her for years. Her work never ceases to astonish me and my family. I still remember how happy I was when I first got my hair done. This location is also aesthetically pleasing and feels somewhat like a second home. Everyone is so friendly, there's pleasant background music, and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Tucked away under a bright blue awning on the busy street of Huntington drive, you will find the Salon De Elegance. This place is easy to miss just driving by, but it is definitely worth finding.
I started going to this Salon about 5 years ago. It was recommended to my Mom and I by a close family friend who had been going there for years. She recommended her hairdresser, Akiko, and we are so glad she did! Akiko is really kind and pleasant woman who knows what to do with hair. She is very good at paying attention to what her customer asks for and remembers the usual style someone will ask for. I will usually bring in a photo reference just to make it easier to explain. Sometimes she will suggest a small change to the style that would be more flattering specifically for me and it always ends up better than expected.
I've had my hair cut here several times, most recently on this past Saturday. After growing my hair out for 4 years, my ultimate goal was to donate it to locks of love for children with cancer. I had been nervous about getting it cut after having long hair for all those years but it was about time. I knew I had to come back to Akiko because I really trust her and I knew she would make it look good. She made what could have been a uncomfortable and painful experience seem like nothing. She is truly great at what she does!
While you are getting your haircut she is glad to keep a pleasant conversation going and checks up on the regulars. Although if you prefer she also has a stack of always up to date magazines that are there for you to read.
The haircut, which includes a oh-so-wonderful head massaging shampooing and conditioning and the styling costs about $40...which to some might be too much, but when you know you are going to get a great cut that makes you feel great, it is most definitely worth it.
The salon itself isn't the largest place but it is just right to me. From what I remember, there are about 6 chair stations for the cut and 3 shampooing stations. All the people working there are very friendly as well.
For parking, there is almost always a spot on the side street Fletcher Ave, or if you are lucky you can snag a spot right in front on Huntington. Parking is never an issue here.
I definitely recommend it!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
