This is a very busy pho and Thai food spot, with so many people doing pick-up orders and eating inside. That share a gravel parking lot with several other businesses.
We ordered pho, both small and large portions. The small bowl looks small, but contains so much noodles. The pho are worth the price and are a little cheaper than the other spots I have been to. We also tried the sweet sticky rice with mango, which was perfectly sweet.
Service was very good and and attentive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marie C.El Monte, CA110853Dec 4, 2023
Went here coz my friend restaurant already closed.
I just took one spoon of Saigon fried rice i can taste the msg. Too much msg. The lid for the yellow curry is loose no wonder he gave us the tape. When i ask for bag he give us small bag for the curry, for the fried rice no bag. At least bring two. I
Don't want to give tip, but i did but not a lot. And also i said no spicy each order charge me $1.50 extra, thats too much , its good for them no ingredient. But charge me. I don't think im coming back here again. Lucky i put 2 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Sam A.Lancaster, CA03240Apr 18, 2024
Stopped here for lunch during the workday and was pretty disappointed. I felt like the food was cobbled together with the absolute cheapest ingredients. I ordered the banh mi and it came with what looked like a hot dog bun for bread, thinly sliced chicken, and what appeared to be pre-made/sliced salad carrots and lettuce sparsely sprinkled on top. The flavor was okay, but it was not even remotely close to a good sandwich, let alone a banh mi. The meal came with a salad, which looked to be the same pre-made salad kit and was literally only two forkfuls of food. It also came with an egg roll that was definitely the best item on the plate. The food was definitely not worth returning for. Servers were nice and the restaurant appeared clean.

After reading reviews, we were worried about how busy this place would be. We arrived 6pm on a Monday night and were seated right away. Several more parties joined us shortly and several pick ups. So yes, it was busy. We got our food quickly and enjoyed it. The chicken qings were particularly tasty. We would definitely go back.

I was in town for work and was craving Asian food. I found this place and had to give it a try. I'll have to say, this wasn't my favorite place in the area but when you're limited on Asian food in the area, this place will have to do.

In search of a lunch spot on our long drive back from Mammoth, my wife discovered Saigon Flavor in the city of Ridgecrest near the halfway point. The restaurant is an unassuming Vietnamese-Thai fusion eatery found in a strip mall off of N. China Lake Blvd. Customers appeared to be mostly locals but judging by how busy the establishment was during the lunch hour, it was apparent they have a high number of regular patrons and repeat customers. It was surprising to find that some of the employees appeared to be Vietnamese which lends some credence to its authenticity. I ordered the Thai Iced Coffee and a bowl of Pho Doc Biet with additional Meatball and they both hit the spot! If you should find yourself in Ridgecrest and are craving Vietnamese or Thai cuisine, Saigon Flavor is worth a try.

Very unique food with a taste from Thailand on the Orient Express. Flavors from across the globe with rich flavors and mild to very spicy flavors. The sweet and hot wings are good and crispy. I just tried the spicy jungle curry with fish and its was delicious and with a lot of veggies. I had mine mild, but you can order a side of hot spice to make it to your own liking. I tried the Lardna too, it was very tasty and delicious with a lot of veggies and your own spice. The veggie egg rolls are delicious too. I was told the beef PHO is epic tasting too.

This restaurant has gone through many owner and staff changes over the years. Back in August of 2023 when I wrote a 5-star review, the food was full of flavor. However, now it is greasy and, therefore, flavorless which is sad for a Vietnamese-Thai fusion place. I can't recommend it anymore as such. The reason I go to a restaurant like this is to get their authentic take on this type of cuisine. But now it's bland food brought down to the lowest common denominator.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 10, 2023Previous reviewTonight, we had Tom Kha and Pho at the restaurant. Everything was fresh and the flavors blended beautifully. The Tom Kha I had contained coconut milk, lemon grass, galanga (Thai ginger), onions, carrots, broccoli, and bay leaves. If that doesn't make your mouth water, you don't have taste buds! Service was efficient and courteous. It's amazing that, with the phone going constantly and a ratio of one server to 14 patrons, everything clicks.
Mar 31, 2021Previous reviewExcellent service, great food, and a 1 to 3 PM lunch special make this place great. The portions are just right and a good deal at about $13. They make their own ice cream in selected flavors such as mango and coconut. They are thinking of branching out to Viennese coffee, green tea, etc. The day I was there, they had ube ice cream, made from a yam that is purple. (Ube is a Filipino tuber.) Sherri was gracious to us in her service.

What a terrific place. Small and cozy. I ordered the combo Pho, large. The broth was delicious! My hisband ordered the yelllow curry. For appetizer, we had the chicken satay. We were happy to find this place. The place was busy with plenty of takeous orders. Our waiter was attentive and quick. The ambiance was no frills with focus on the food. The restaurant was clean. Will definitely return.
