Had a very enjoyable meal at Sage400. Everything tasted super fresh - taro chips were crisp and clean (not that much oil on them compared to other places)- salmon melt in your mouth - king crab had a very nice bite to it.
Everything was paired very well with sauces that everyone at my table was satisfied with. Prices are a bit high, but you're paying for the quality food and for the quality service we recieved as well as the nice atmosphere the restaurant had.
My favorite wad definitely the ceviche, summer delight(I think it was the triple delight -- servers reccomendation which turned out to be fantastic) and the surf n turf.
The ceviche was a mouth explosion when you bite into it, the powerful citrus flavors that perfectly compliment the fish and with a kick of spice from the jalepeno slice, on the taro chip was just so enjoyable, wish I got more rather than having to split it with the table -- comes with 5 pieces of chips, one for everyone at the table!
The servers delight reccomendation was just so fresh and the yellow tail was great with the shiso leaf.
Surf n turf was really enjoyable for me because I like the rawish beef on my sushi, and it was just all so perfectly balanced between beef and shrimp and veggies inside with the sauce perfectly complimenting it all.
Everything else was also pretty fresh and everyone loved everything and had no dislikes whatsoever. The gyoza was cripsy on the bottom, and soft on top with a perfect sauce to go with it. The king crab with cucumbers was just so refreshing overall. Last but not least, the fried ice cream was very well done, the mango strawberry sauces paired perfectly with the fried ice cream adding that sweet sourness to break up the heavyness of the cream and the fat from being fried.
Thank you for an enjoyable dinnerHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Diane P.Houston, TX02510Apr 8, 2024

NO CONS! I've been coming to this restaurant once monthly for years. One of my favorite restaurants in Houston !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stevie D.Waldorf, MD1258121Apr 16, 20241 check-in
Visiting this place for dinner while in Houston a business trip. The restaurant is in a shopping strip, but when you go inside it becomes an experience. It is obvious they took care in design and ambiance. The place is dimly lit, with a unique bar design that seamlessly blends into the overall look & feel of the place. I ordered the SAGE roll (8 pieces)--spicy tuna, fresh salmon, and avocado outside, topped with green onion, Serrano, spicy mayo, chili paste. Be sure to give it a try it's delicious. I also enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc "Whitehaven", it is popular and complimented my Susi well. In the mood for good sushi, check'em out.

This place is amazing. The food and the service was the best we have had in years. Pepper tuna carpaccio, pork belly and fois Gras sushimi was incredible. The sea bass and salmon..amazing. Served with a chilled sake....wow.

This place hit all the marks-- service, ambiance, and food.
I had just driven straight in from Dallas for work over the weekend and was worried I was too underdressed for dinner. Not at all. They seated me swiftly and gave me a menu. They have really elegant sushi selections here. I ordered the Sunset Roll. The waitress kindly gave me info as I ordered--
"Just an FYI, this is cucumber-wrapped, no rice" and that my upgrade to the crab was an extra $12. The blue fin tuna was really excellent. I liked the way the truffle vinaigrette smelled. It was such high quality after my Buccees binge the 8 pieces was enough to satiate me.
I'm coming back to try a cocktail tomorrow night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael L.NJ, NJ3286Jan 27, 2024

A coworker and I sat at a high table in the bar area. The service there from Johnny and the other bartender was Top Notch.
They had some homemade blue cheese olives for my Tito's Martini. Drinks were excellent and on time.
We started with the Spicy Edamame, and I'll just say, it's pretty spicy, and I like that, but some folks might think it's a little much.
We shared some appetizers:
The Seared Pepper Tuna Roll that came out like a rose. It was killer, amazing flavor and presentation.
The Miso Chilean Sea Bass appetizer was the feature of the night. It is possibly the best Sea Bass I've ever had. Absolutely killer. Pretty good size for two to share as well.
We had a few roll recommendations and for the life of me I cannot recall the names. One had a tempura shrimp on the inside, and it was incredible. The other alternated sashimi on top, with the Salmon and Tuna alternating, and it was incredible.
I would go on a vacation to Houston just to eat here. The atmosphere was excellent, the service was top notch, and the sushi and Japanese creations were some of my favorite. Well worth the time to eat here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Roger D.Houston, TX504135Jul 16, 2023
This is my go to place after day drinking. I come here right before dinner time because it get pack.
The bar is where I camp out. The bar staff are entertaining and they remember your name and your game.
The food is awesome, their Seabass had won award I think and their foie gras is delicious.
You can't go wrong with their menu.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael E.Houston, TX053Sep 14, 2023
Food was delicious! Atmosphere was nice! Sat at the bar and enjoyed the baseball game with my wife. Uni was so smooth and creamy. The pork belly confit over crispy rice was top notch. Will definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area and will be returning
