Escargot racing and Rob are so knowledgeable and polite and courteous! I've never brought a car to him but I've partied went to his party and it was great! And from what I've heard escargot racing is a place to go if you drive a porsche!

My 2005 targa had a weird electrical issue crop up while adding a bluetooth upgrade to the existing CR25 audio unit. Five "experts" took a look at the situation and could not determine why things were wonky. Porsche of Marin couldn't make a new key due to the issue and wanted me to spend $800 just to diagnose the situation. Wells, at S-Car-Go, had the situation solved in 30 minutes and then was able to spend under an hour doing some proactive measures to ensure things would continue to work smoothly -- as well as making a new, fully functional key.
These folks are the place to take your vintage Porsche -- and then be entertained at the most eclectic service garage I've ever visited.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - C D.Marin County, CA258Jun 29, 2022
Porsche Fremont changed the wheel locks and wheel lug nuts on my Cayenne to non Porsche rated parts without my knowledge. Without proof, Porsche Fremont blamed S-Car-Go for the issue although S-Car-Go has never worked on my wheels and tires.
Rob, Wade, and Angel spent 2 hours helping me figure out the issues with my Cayenne and gave me direction how to fix the issue.
It was amazing these guys helped as they did it out of the goodness/kindness of their hearts and they charged me nothing for the 2 hours of their time.
I will return here for all my Porsche needs.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - T T.San Anselmo, CA08Jun 15, 2022

I found this shop after doing my research on local indies on Rennlist and elsewhere, and had a PPI done on a low mileage 996.2. Got a detailed report and a walk-through of everything that needed fixing from Rob, and at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend them for PPIs.

A few months ago I needed a new clutch and accumulator assembly on my 996TT. I made phone calls to local shops around Napa. The closest Porsche mechanic was Alpina. They recommended that I call Rob at S-Car-Go as he would be tooled up to service my car. I called the shop and I was able to speak with Rob. He was very knowledgeable and informative over the phone. We exchanged several emails to estimate the work and schedule a time for me to drop off the car.
I dropped off the car and the shop gave the car a good inspection. They helped identify outstanding issues with the car and provided me with individual quotes for each issue so that I could decide what work I'd like for them to perform. They were not pushy at all with the services and made sound recommendations. Other than the clutch and accumulator, I had them replace the rear main seal.
I appreciated the advice provided by Rob. It's nice to speak to someone with a lot of knowledge and personal experience about the car. His Porsche racing background helps him distinguish the "needs" versus the "wants" a customer has for their cars. He could have easily sold me the "high end" clutch and flywheel I came in I thought I needed but, he explained that it was really unnecessary unless I planned on extreme power modifications. (Saved me quite a bit of money and time.)
The shop had the car for just over a week and the work was done well. I broke in the clutch and the car drives better than ever.
I did shop around prior to bringing the car to S-Car-Go. Compared to other shops, the prices are 'reasonable'. The other shops I called that were 'more affordable' sounded really uncertain about the work I requested. They didn't provide feedback when asked about the work I requested. All they gave me was an estimate and wanted to know when I was going to drop the car off. I felt that the price I paid at S-Car-Go was more than fair for the services and advice I received.
I wouldn't hesitate coming back for future service and recommending others.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Russell Q.San Rafael, CA51241Mar 27, 2020Updated review
The guys at S Car Go are amazing. While they handle the huge customization jobs they also take care of all the little things. When my tire was flat, they were in my driveway 30 minutes later helping me. If you have a Porsche out of warrantyou need these guys in your corner!
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 10, 2015Previous reviewThe team at S Car Go is amazing! Rob is wonderful and works with us little guys. I've had 2 997s and I don't have a huge bank account like some of his other clients. Rob and team worked with me and my budget. They are now about to install a new exhaust on my second car. I highly recommend them. Whoever these guys are that gave 1 star are smoking crack. As someone else mentioned, If he had a bar or a coffee shop I would hang out there all day It's a great man cave. Thanks SCARGO!

After being a customer for a year I still cant say enough about the team at S-Car-Go: Pat, Wells, Juan, Angel, Dee and Rob. There is no better team in the Bay Area. These guys are true enthusiasts and treat their customers as family.
I recently needed a clutch replacement which was over my head to handle. Pat and Wells know I do most of my own work and went out of their way to invite me into the man'cave for the morning and walk me through all the steps and share their experience.
I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 11, 2017Previous reviewRob, Wells and Pat are awesome. I try to do most of my own work on the car but these guys are the ones I go to when I get over my head. They are passionate about the cars and rockstars at what they do. Every time I'm in their shop I learn a ton.
We are lucky to have a shop like theirs in Marin.
