I finally made it to Russell's after years about hearing about it and I wasn't sure what to expect.

It was dark and rainy outside, and I was surprised that it was sort of located in a business park and much larger than I thought when we parked. Inside, it felt kind of dated, with a feel from years gone by.

It was a birthday and we went protein heavy for the night. I thought everything was solid, but not outstanding. We enjoyed the night and would come again if we were north of the city.

Russell's is great for in house dining and service. I don't recommend take out because the price is not worth what you receive. Dine in I would give 5 stars, take out 1 star.

I have had the pan seared chicken breast and veggies at the restaurant multiple times and it was wonderful. I ordered it for take out and the breast was half the size of what I had dining in. The carrots were smaller as was the asparagus. The cold mashed potatoes all floating in a watery mess inside a cardboard box was not appealing.

Just dine in, as take out is same price for less quality. This is my third unfortunate take out experience at Russell's but the other two were steaks.

      Scallops!! That is all.

Been here for steak, salmon, birthdays! Weddings! But my favorite thing here is their scallops. Appetizers or the entree. It's just magic, magical every-time.

They also have an extensive wine list!! The best. Never not had a good time here. Love it!! Steak, pork chop, Salomon... pasta! But the best: scallops!! I come for the scallops and the vibes. Private room is fantastic for birthdays and we love celebrating here.

Upstairs wedding venue is just right. The area itself is super quaint and cute. All around cozy and delicious spot.

What a magnificant restaruant! We celebrated my birthday here and made reservations via Open Table. That process went smoothly and our table was ready when we arrived.

We started with the Beef Tips and the charcuterie board. Wow, the beef tips were fantastic--Soo tender and flavorful.

We got the fettuccine with prawns, rack of lamb (their special), sea bass, and filet mignon for entrees. Everything was so wonderfully prepared. I very much enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes.

I asked for my steak medium well (on accident, I word vomited) but they cooked it how I asked... even though in my heart I meant medium rare. The server explained they had to butterfly the filet open to cook it that way.

For drinks, I got an amaretto sour (my go-to) and they made it beautifully. We ended our night with espresso martinis and WHEW those were strong- we didn't finish them. Slightly disappointed by that... I like mine creamier and saw that Bailey's was an ingredient so I figured it would be more to my liking.

The ambiance was nice- quiet, elevated, and classy. We liked the decor and table settings. Minor note- I wish the candles on the table were real rather than fake battery-operated ones.

One of the best restaurants in the local area! Chef owned, locally sourced and amazing food and service. We've never had bad experience or meal in several visits. Brought friends here from LA and they were very pleased with everything. Great atmosphere and we love the fresh focaccia bread that's included with your meal.

We found parking pretty easily on a Friday night. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated right away. The staff were kind and attentive. The atmosphere is white table cloth but cozy.

We each ordered a glass of wine - Grenache & franc. They were good. The bread is included with the meal and delicious. $4 for a refill. The baby spinach salad was the star of the night. 5/5 stars for it. My partner liked his fettuccini, but it wasn't anything special. He'd get it again if the opportunity arose but prefers an Italian spot in downtown bothell.

For $40 I expect top notch food and the pork chop entree wasn't it. The waitress said Russell liked his butterflied medium well, so we went with that. It came out pretty well done with some grill char. We should have gone with medium. The mashed potato's were solid. The butternut squash was underdone and lacked flavor while the 3 Brussels sprouts were over cooked, under seasoned, and some of the worst ones I've had from a restaurant. It was disappointing.

The bread pudding was 95% bread with maybe 5% pudding. It was more of a monkey bread. Good but not exactly what we wanted and very sweet compared to other bread puddings. There was definitely a lot of caramel, and the message was a nice touch.

The food was generally good but not at all worth the price. It was fun to knock it off the to-visit list, but I wouldn't go back for anything but the salad.

Also the person who boxed up our pasta mixed the shrimp shells (that were all piled on the opposite side of the plate to the food) into the pasta.

What can I say, it's so nice to have an old-school steakhouse. That's not a chain close in the area. Does it have his challenges? Some. But the steaks are solid, the staff is awesome, drinks are flowing. Higher price point, and perhaps a tad overpriced. Needs a happy hour with an assortment of appetizers and small plates and we'd be there weekly.

I was at Russell's for an event, so the menu is fixed, and sides are reduced. The experience was still very good with attentive service. Water and bread were both refilled in a timely manner. Being a steakhouse, the interior is the typical dark wood look and decorated with lots of game (skin, head), too many, in my opinion. Eeew...

      The Food:
Classic Caesar Salad, half, $7.50 - 4 Stars
Served with house-made garlic croutons and parmesan, the half size is just right.

      Bread (refill), $4 - 4.5 Stars
Macrina Bakery Herbed Focaccia. These are served warm and deliciously buttery and herby. They are quite an indulgence.

      Grilled Salmon - 4 Stars
I am guessing it is the same beurre blanc sauce but with simplified sides of mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables of green beans and carrots. The normal menu grilled salmon is $54 and served with shiitake mushrooms, potato gnocchi, and veggies. Doesn't matter, though. This was a delicious dish where the wild king salmon is perfectly grilled - tender and not dry. As long as the salmon is good, I am satisfied.

Ok let's start with the best, the service was top notch, very friendly, very organized and our server was just great. The location is pretty odd, it's in the middle of a business park, but the ambiance inside is very nice and cozy. Plenty of parking due to the location.

Let's talk about food, we did love our appetizers a lot, the scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly. The pasta wasn't nice, the shrimps were done nice, but the sauce wasn't great at all. I did like the duck, but the skin was very chewy, not crispy like it needs to be. We also had the bread pudding which was very dry, the savior was the caramel sauce to dip it into. We've heard so much good stuff about it, but it didn't impress us as much as we had hoped. Maybe we'll give it another try in the future.

Nicer expensive restaurant tucked away in an office park area of Bothell. Close to work. Unexpected spot for a restaurant. Parking was easy which is always a plus. It has an office park parking lot. No overhead lights though so it was rather dark at night.

Service was good. Had the duck and clam chowder soup. Also the pumpkin mule. A nice meal. Very enjoyable evening.
