Now this is the bar I should've come to last night! Oh man, I had One Eyed Willy (cuz Goonies never say die), by buddy had a Four Brothers (served in a rice cooker)...luckily we were able to still stand afterwards.
Why? Because I had the bomb-diggitiest Cuban Sandwich this side of the Rockies from next door (Rumba's).
If you're in Seattle, and appreciate a good tiki lounge cocktail and cubano cuisine...you have got to stop here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 1, 2024
Rumba is adjacent to their other bar Inside Passage. We visited both in the same evening and had a ball.
Rumba was our second stop, so we were just after snacks and one more round. The hot buttered rum was amazing. Rumba guacamole was also great. Sweet potato fries were decent, too.
Would return in the future for more drinks!

Drinks: So look, the drinks in my opinion is not bad at all. Sure the Mai Thai is a little stronger but I ain't weak, so I thought it was fine. I didn't even order the Mai Thai, I got the Pina Colada which is FIRE. But since my girlfriend said that is good, I gave that to her (I know I'm an amazing guy) and I took the Mai Thai. Mojito was good too!
Service: The host was chill, and the service was fine. It took a little longer for the server to take our order but it's cool, we spilled a drink on accident but they were able to get us another so that's sick of them!
Price: It's average in Seattle, like 15-20 a drink but it is what it is now.
Also, the ambiance is pretty chill! Pretty tiki vibe, which is pretty groovy!

I recently visited Rumba in Seattle to grab a drink with some friends. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The drinks menu has plenty of choices of Rum forward drinks. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food and service is excellent. What stood out to me was the great customer service. I had accidentally spilled a drink and the servers were quick with giving me a comped drink. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great bar experience in Seattle.

While waiting to go to inside passage it was a wonderful time to see everyone in Halloween costumes and be in character. Everyone was so kind and accommodating when we were eating and drinking.
The food was sooo good and although pricier it definitely satisfied us for the night with all the drinks. I would love to go here in the daylight. The dim lights and theme can be seen and it's such a cool environment.
Loved going here and would love to go again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anusha R.Bryan, TX2134279Feb 10, 2024
One of the good speakeasy's around here where the cocktails didn't just look pretty but actually tasted good too. Loved the banana chips and salsa here. It was really fresh. Everything we got was so yummy. Our friends even liked the vegetarian food they had. Service was wonderful. One of their waitresses was so kind and just went above and beyond to make our experience special. I wish I remembered her name but she was great! The Cuban sandwich was so delicious! I'm leaving ambiance to the end cuz it was sooo pretty! Very tropical! The inside passage was soo good. Like a mini sea world! Loved it!

This place is wonderful. A real hidden gem if you ask me. After seeing a show in the neighborhood, a friend and I stopped here for a bite to eat. Sam was our server and he was very friendly, informative, and attentive. I ordered the guac, an empanada, and a taco (I was in a peck ish mood). Everything we ordered was really flavorful, savory, and so very satisfying. I certainly would order more than one empanada next time around. You can expect to find the restaurant decor eclectic, clean, and inviting. There are a decent number of tables given this place looks super tiny from outside. I took note of several larger parties of 6 or more so keep that in mind if you're looking for a fun place that can accommodate a bigger group; I would just recommend calling ahead.
I really look forward to come back with the wife in the very near future ;) cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 3, 2023
First drinks review !! Popped into Rumba on the edge of Capitol Hill on a late Thurs night . The location offers a snug ambience, is adorned with antique furniture, and boasts surf-bar themed decor . We first ordered a round of solo drinks on our own before delving into their recommended classic rum flights . Since we weren't rum connoisseurs, we decided to learn a lil from rum flight 101 .
Pina Colada - cold & refreshing, my go-to, creamy, sweetness & alcohol well-balanced
Rum Flight 101 - 3/4 oz pours of 4 rums: Appleton Reserve (Jamaica), Barrilito 3 Star (Puerto Rico), Plantation 5 Year (Barbados), Clément VSOP (Martinique); all very strong, favorite was the Appleton Reserve with a strong caramel sweetness and notes of baking spice
While I may not be the most ardent enthusiast of rum, I still enjoyed the bartender's detailed explanation of the various rum flavors . She explained the rum origins & lightness differences and patiently answered all of our questions. They sure have an impressive selection of rums to choose from, just check out their wall ! They also serve food including plantain chips, guacamole, and empanadas that I'll order next time I'm back to pair with my rumba drinks .

Within walking distance from Paramount, this restaurant is the perfect pre or post show spot. We made a reservation a few days in advance and we were glad that we did. The restaurant was packed and busy! The decor was cute and felt cozy. My friend and I decided to order a few items to share. The Jamaican beef empanadas arrived first. The crust was beautifully buttery and flaky and it was filled with the tastiest ground beef mixture. Every bite was flavorful and the empanada was the perfect size. The sliders and plantain chips came next. The plantain chips were salted and crispy and so thinly sliced. The sliders came on Hawaiian rolls and the beef was tender and slightly sweet. Great restaurant, great service and great food. A must try indeed!

Came into this bar after dinner for some quick drinks but man do I regret it! We ordered a Red Wedding and it was terrible could not enjoy it and to top it off the server was SO RUDE! As well as the hostess with glasses! The ambiance was nice but the workers need to work on their customer service! Would not return if I ever find myself in Seattle again.
