Ruben Cortez Drywall

I came home from a trip to find all my clothes and the shelving unit in my closet on the floor!! Ruben came highly recommended from my trusted paint store. He came and patched the lath and plaster the next day!!
Such a nice, efficient contractor!!
Will hire again!!

Sent Ruben pictures of what needed done and replied with a quote and stuck to the quote and got it done the next morning.

Every other contractor wanted to set a date just to come look at it just so they can give you the run around even though their were clear pictures of what needed to be done and Ruben got it done with no hassle.

Never showed up to estimate or sent a message to pass on the project.
I can't say anything about their work, but their professionalism and organizing capabilities - one star

Came to my property in need of a good amount of work. He walked around and looked at everything. Promised to send a quote and said he could handle the job. Then never returned a quote or replied to my two different days of messages. Waste of my time.

If you are going to take the time to reply to texts, drive to someones property and then have them meet you there and do a walk-through it would be nice if you left them a bid.

So I got multiple quotes and multiple things done over the last week or two. 3 dry wall people. One was really high bidding, one was super flakey, one was an hour late to bid and came in at a reasonable offer (
but bad communication). Then came Ruben.

Ruben is a breathe of fresh air. No joke. Super communicative, ON TIME (even a couple minutes early!), pretty fast, and very efficient. The guys were also super nice as well. Picked up after themselves (even offered help on other little things).

And now on to it, they did a FANTASTIC job. Can't even tell anything was wrong with the walls. I would never use anyone else if I had to do this all over again. As a matter of fact any other projects I find he will be getting a call. I've had bad luck with a lot of contractors this year. Faith restored with this one. You won't be disappointed.

Ruben was great! Called him about a basement wall impacted by plumbing issue upstairs and he came within hours to take out old drywall and back the next day and put that wall back together. Definitely use him again!

Terrible! Waste of time! It took me two text reminders to Ruben just to get him to stay committed to come to our site to quote the project. We need drywall for our 40 X 40 shop with an upper loft - he walked around the property and said he would send quote. I sent him a text a week later for quote and never heard another word. Don't bother with this company.

Contacted Ruben and agreed a scheduled date which is Friday. The day of our schedule , he cancelled it and reschedule Monday. Supposed to have a flight on Tuesday but I was able to change it to accommodate the schedule. Monday came , I was expecting a call from him but no call at all. I texted him and he said he cannot do it because of the weather. First of all , he knows the weather ahead of time and he should just tell me that he cannot make it. Why wasting other people's time if you know that you cannot do the project. Please be RESPECTFUL! You are not the only contractor in Vancouver.

Defiantly will hire again! We had a large hole in the ceiling (20' by 2') and multiple partial walls without drywall during our kitchen remodel in a home from the 1950s. Having worked construction for many years my expectations are very high. After getting four estimates my wife and I liked Ruben the best due to his personality, time to begin work, time to complete work, and his price. Ruben and his team exceeded all of my expectations. They worked fast and efficiently and finished the job faster than the 3 other crews quoted. The quality of his work is next level. Our home looks better than I ever thought it could. His finishEd price was exactly his quote (we are used to contractors telling us it was harder or took longer than expected and come in much more than their quote).

In summary Ruben and his team are true craftsmen. They are efficient, honest, friendly, and produce the highest quality work I have seen. I am recommending him to all my friends and will hire him again without hesitation.

If there was a lower rating i would give it in may I hired ruban to fix my wall that had been fixed poorly 2 times ithad avery large hole which twice it had been mudded in and ii told him I needed new sheetrock putin so it wouldn't gave in , and he gave ne a price of 500 dollars ,I agreed on that price, it was at a renters place ,then when he had already started it ,he was just mudding in ,no new sheet rock and he bragged that this would be fine now in dec 2021 my renters in formed meet is caving in again so now I will have it Putin writing new sheet rock Do not trust him, it in writing.the new contractor is charging 350 for complete repair with new sheetrock.
