Ruch YMCA Preschool

Such an amazing preschool.

Run by YMCA but taught by Miss Jamie at the Ruch Outdoor Community School. Miss Jamie truly loves her students & teaches them manners along with letters & lessons about our world that gets them ready for Kindergarten in a fun way. They spend time outside, play in nature, go to SMART reading where adults read to them, they are given books, and have lunch & playtime with kindergarteners of Ruch School. Hard to mention all the pluses!

They do not have school on Mondays - only Tuesday - Friday. We loved it. Most holidays are on Mondays & it's great for weekends away & planning other activities like Ballet which are hard to cram in after school.

Tuition is low & very affordable especially for the high quality of the preschool. One of the few preschools with After Care till 3:30pm. Lunch & snack is included & you can get the monthly menu on the Medford School District site. Our daughter liked to bring lunch at the start but soon wanted to only eat the cafeteria food. She likes the salad bar, pizza, mashed potatoes & chicken nuggets. They have vegetarian options.

Although YMCA runs the program, once you are signed up Miss Jamie is great with parent emails & communication. Ruch School & parents also support the Preschool & makes it perfect for those who want to continue on in Ruch School through middle school.

Currently the Preschool is full for 2018-2019 - however they are considering adding a teacher to accommodate more students. Definitely get on the waitlist & they may be able to add everyone on the waitlist if enough people call.

I truly loved the program & only heard about it through other moms. YMCA doesn't advertise at all. I'm posting this in hopes that other new moms don't miss this amazing resource.
